The whole ordeal last night had only made me more curious as to what the rouges were up too. I hated waiting and would rather go out, hunt them down and end them, and now that they broke into the girls house and chased her down like the animal he was, it was proving to be a better idea by the second. But, what had me more curious than the rouges was Zachariahs behavior since saving Elehna. He is always so serious, in control of his actions, but since Elehna's arrival, he has slipped.

It wasn't enough for anyone else who didn't know him to notice, but Jeremiah and myself knew. He was protective suddenly. His eyes when he seen the bruise, and the slight anger when she'd obviously lied about where it came from was enough to confirm my thoughts. Elehna was my brothers mate, but what confused me was why he didn't say anything, why didn't he at least tell me?

My thoughts became interrupted Elehna spoke, "I really am thankful for what you've done, and also for breakfast, but I should really go. M-my fathers probably worried."

"Your right. I'll walk you home." Zachariah said without hesitation. It was almost impossible for me not to voice my thoughts. And, from the look of Jeremiah's jaw clenching and unclenching he was having an even harder time.

"We will all come, it's nice outside." I piped in, putting my dishes in the sink. "I'll just go grab a shirt, Jeremiah come on." I ushered Jeremiah out, hoping to get the two talking, hoping that whatever was holding my brother back from being happy would be forgotten if he had time alone, without others.

"What was that about?" Jeremiah finally voiced.

I sighed, "you noticed too?"

My little brother nodded, seeming just as confused as myself. "Elehna's his mate, right? He didn't say so, but he's acting weird.."

"I believe so. When we take Elehna home we'll talk to him." I said determined. Hearing the door suddenly slam, Jeremiah and I looked at each other before running back to the kitchen, looking around I didn't see Elehna and then when I looked at Zachariah his face was red, and that's when I noticed that it was only one cheek.

"Dude, where's Elehna?" Jeremiah blurted.

Zachariah took a deep, shuttering breath. "Obviously not here."

I rolled my eyes, "I know that, but we was going to walk her home. Why did she leave?"

Zachariah growled, silencing me further. "Drop it Isaiah."

I took a deep breath, calming my own irritation. "She's your mate.. " I watched Zachariah's eyes darken, but otherwise he stayed quiet so I pressed. "Why did you let your mate walk out the door?"

Instead of my brother answering me, he turned and walked away. Wanting an answer I followed knowing Jeremiah was behind me. "Don't walk away from me brother!" I yelled as I followed him outside. "Answer me! Why? Why are you letting her go, why aren't you trying?"

Zachariah suddenly turned and growled. "You watch how you speak to me, we may be brothers, but I'm still your Alpha." I instantly felt the weight of his 'Alpha' voice and my anger spiked.

"Yeah you are. And your also the one who isn't claiming our Luna. I, along with the pack deserves an answer." I barely finished, when Zachariah threw a punch.

I quickly recovered and tackled Zachariah, not of us throwing punch after punch. I knew something was wrong with him, that something was weighing on him and he needed to get it out, even if it was me who hurt for it later. My brothers pain was my own. "Tell me!" I yelled, punching him in the jaw, then was sent flying back. I could see Jeremiah in my peripheral moving closer as Zachariah got on top of me, holding me by the shirt.

"Imagine if I told her! Imagine being in her shoes, chased like prey from your own home into the woods. We don't know how long she was in that tree, terrified for her life. All because of the rouge! Imagine what she would say or do when she found out that not only are we all wolves just like him, but that she's mated to one!!" He blurted out.

My eyes widened, and I watched as his shoulders slumped. He slowly got off of me, and sat on the ground running his hands through his hair. I looked at Jeremiah who looked as upset as I felt.

I got up, and crouched beside Zachariah. "We will help you. We will let her get to know us first, let her come to trust us. Then, we will tell her the truth.. It will be okay Zach.."

"I'm sorry Isaiah." Zachariah whispered.

I smiled and patted his back, "I understand. I'm happy you found your mate."
