《My World is Drowning [Irondad]》Two More [5]

Dr Strange ended up putting Wade and I in a room together. Luckily we didn't have to sleep in the same bed, since the room consisted of two twin beds. I was happy that they were across the room from one another, since I didn't really like the kid that much.
I flopped down onto my side of the bed, exhausted. An obnoxious phone ringing broke the silence, and I saw Wade take it out of his pocket. That thing still works after the tsunami? He must have an iPhone X. He answered it, holding it up to his ear.
"Hey Harley, what the fuck do you want?" Wade said into the phone, sitting on his bed. He took out something else he had in his pocket... a cigarette and lighter. "Yeah, I'm alive but my goddamn mom isn't," He said into the phone. He put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it, blowing a puff. "Nah it's fine, I don't give a shit. She was always beating my siblings and me," He explained. "Oh, sorry. I stole a cigarette from Tony Stark's pocket. Yeah, ain't that something to brag about?"
I listened to the conversation. He must have a friend or family member that lives somewhere else. I assumed. I frowned when I heard him talk about his mom. Dang, this jerk had a tougher life than me. I started to feel bad for thinking poorly of him.
I started to think about Aunt May. They still haven't found her. I licked my lips, trying to stop my eyes from tearing up. Luckily I was too proud to cry in front of Wade, so they faded fast.
"Yeah, I'll ask if you can visit some time. If they decline I'll just swear at them and leave this place. So far they've been assholes," Wade said into the phone.

I rolled my eyes, grabbing the iPod and earbuds Stephen had given me. The hum in my ear was annoying, so I decided to give it a shot. I plugged the earbuds into the device, then placed them in my ear. I turned on the iPod and then hit "shuffle play".
Calming yet sad music began to play, just barely drowning out the ring, but also quiet enough to let me sleep. It was perfect.
I closed my eyes and put my head on my pillow, letting sleep consume me.
"You alright Tony? You've been sulking all evening," Stephen said, entering the kitchen.
I sighed. "It's just draining to see so many dead people. Dead doctors, dead fathers, dead mothers, dead children..." My voice trailed off because I hated to think about it.
"Well, think about it, you saved three teenagers today," Dr Strange pointed out to me, he made a cup full of tea out of nowhere.
I raised an eyebrow. "I know it's just..." I sighed again. "What are their names?" I asked, even though I knew them already. I had this desperate desire to know more about them. They already felt special to me.
"Wade, Peter, and Shuri," He informed me, taking a sip of his tea. "Let me give you the bottom line. Peter doesn't talk, Wade's an asshole and Shuri is a smartass."
I smirked. "Why don't you like any of them?" I asked.
"I don't know, I just don't do well with kids I guess." He sipped his tea again.
I shrugged. "Me neither, I always just buy them a bunch of stuff and then that's that. All of my nieces and nephews love me, not because of my loving, but because of my money." I grinned and looked down at my hand that was on the counter.

Dr Strange bit his lip. "Well, I did my best. Put the boys in a room together and put the girl in a separate room. Just in case."
I raised an eyebrow. "In case of what? They're not college students."
"You'd be surprised at what teenagers have been doing. While I was stitching up Wade, he was talking about getting his dick sucked by a girl," He told me with a laugh.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, Wade gave me the playboy vibes. Can I have some vodka?"
"Coming right up."
