There will be violence, mental disorders, suicidal references, maybe even drug and alcohol abuse. There may also be sexual references.
"Usually the Avengers have it solved by now..." I said worriedly, staring at the TV. The news was on, broadcasting an attack on San Diego. The reporters were saying how the city was bombed and then hit by a tsunami. It was originally a unique case, but it wasn't anymore, since the same exact thing happened in Houston Texas just yesterday. The tsunami and everything.
"It's okay honey," Aunt May assured me, giving me a kiss on the forehead when she passed the couch. My eyes were still glued to the TV, staring at the amount of people who died.
There were theories that it was a terrorist attack, other theories thought it was some sort of alien force. Ever since Loki sent the attack on New York it's always been a possibility.
"You're not scared?" I asked Aunt May in dismay. "May, we live on the coast. We could be next, New York has a huge population, and that's what they seem to be targeting," I pointed out.
Aunt May winced. "Don't worry Peter, the Avengers are probably beating up the bad guys right now. Plus, the Avengers Tower is in New York, so maybe they'd be more protective of this city."
I shook my head. "They're protective of every city, but they can't predict what city will be targeted next. They won't be able to make it to the correct place in time to shoot the bombs before they hit the ground, plus how do you even stop a tsunami?" I ran my fingers through my hair.
I felt her hand get placed on my shoulder. "Peter, honey, relax. Worrying won't help. We just have to hope and pray that the Avengers will work this out before it gets to our city. If you really want to, we can stay at my cousin's house in Wisconsin in a couple days."

I rubbed my chest. "What if a couple of days is too late?" I asked her, placing my hand on hers. She squeezed my shoulder a little bit. "You saw the news, the San Diego one just happened today. The one in Houston happened yesterday. You realize that these are happening one day after the other, right?"
She squeezed my shoulder again. "If you really want to Peter, we can start packing tomorrow. Maybe instead of heading to Wisconsin, we can go on a mini road trip to a state nearby. At least until the Avengers solve this case."
I nodded, rubbing my eyes with my hands. "Okay, Aunt May," I replied.
She smiled. "Why don't you get some sleep, kiddo? I'll go to the store to get some supplies for our trip."
I shook my head. "How am I supposed to sleep?" I asked her.
Aunt May tilted my chin up so I was looking at her. "Hey, don't let this stuff get to you. The news exaggerates it for clicks and views. Besides, the likeliness of the Avengers catching the bad guys by tomorrow is extremely high. They have reputation for stopping them."
I smiled. "Okay, I'll head to bed. What time will you be back?" I asked her.
"In about an hour or so," She replied. "It'll be quick. I'll be back before midnight."
I stood up, yawning. "Okay, goodnight May," I said to her as I headed to my room.
"Goodnight Peter."

Petrichor: Act One
Cody is adrift. Emily is alone. Sara is spiraling into darkness. Andrew is out of control. Chris is losing his mind. Grace makes the mistake of being friends with all of them. The friendship these six share will forever shape who they are. In the town of Darkwood, Washington they are forced into the harsh reality of the world catching up to them. When their involvement in their friend's suicide catches up to them, how will they juggle their guilt, issues, and crumbling friendships that fall before them? This is a redux of Petrichor. I was unsatisfied with how the story went. I rushed things and left things to happen off-screen a lot. So I'm rewriting it, this time dividing the acts into their separate books to allow the characters to properly develop. The story will mostly stay the same but I'll fix all the plot holes I found and change some character motivations here or there.
