Taehyung returned to his room and laid down like a corpse, crying as though he had lost the entire world. Taehyung was at the gate of death. Although he had no interest in Bogum, Taehyung could see his tragic future from Jungkook's currejnt attitude. Taehyung dazedly fell asleep amidst his sorrow.

At noon, the housekeeper went upstairs to call Taehyung over to eat.

Taehyung numbly came to and limped downstairs to eat.

When he sat in his seat, he discovered that there was an additional soft cushion on the wooden chair.

Jungkook sat across from Taehyung and said coldly, "I'll have someone to pick you up after school in the future."

Taehyung lowered his head and said in a low voice, "No......"

Jungkook slammed his chopsticks down with a 'bang' saying, "Why not?! Surely you can't mean that you want to go play at those places in the future?" 

Taehyung had some pain on his face as he said, "Th-this was just an accident, I didn't expect that......he would actually......"

Jungkook grinned with dissatisfaction, "So you have to listen to me."

Taehyung said, "But you didn't care about me before!"

Jungkook said loudly, "Taehyung, I am not asking you, I am telling you."

Jungkook saw that Taehyung was in a daze and thought that he had scared Taehyung. He lowered his voice and said, "You are small, making a wrong choice will ruin your entire life."

Taehyung glanced at Jungkook and gave a bitter laugh, "As you say."

Jungkook's heart softened down completely. Taehyung had been obedient since childhood for the most part, and it seemed that this time was no exception.

Taehyung's soul broke free from his body and had already drifted far away. He randomly ate something and returned to his room.

In the following days, Taehyung never saw Bogum again. Evidently, this was definitely because Jungkook had done something. Otherwise, according to Bogum's personality, how could he let the meat that had just reached his mouth slip away so easily?

But what Taehyung hadn't expected was that Jungkook actually started coming back home every day after this incident. Even more, during this time the news of Jungkook's marriage began to propagate everywhere so much that even Ara and Seojun managed to hear the news.

Seojun gave Taehyung a transnational long-distance call and asked him how he was doing.

Taehyung's entire face was sorrowful, "My Dad doesn't want me anymore, he wants to find his own life."

Seojun heard this and quickly comforted Taehyung. After comforting him, he even said that if Jungkook didn't care for Taehyung anymore in the future then he can also protect Taehyung. Taehyung heard this and was very moved, expressing, "Ara has become prettier than before."

Seojun said, "Eh?"

Taehyung said, "She's the prettiest girl in her class."

Seojun said, "What do you mean, you aren't saying that you like Ara are you?"

Taehyung said, "I mean..... You should hurry and come back sooner, I'm afraid that I can't manage any longer."

Seojun: "......" 

Indeed, nothing had happened to Ara and she was very beautiful. It was impossible for there to only be a small number of people to chase after her. Taehyung still persisted in meeting Ara each and every month which made Ara crack a joke and say, "You won't like me will you?"

Taehyung glanced at Ara, "You're not even as good-looking as I am."

After hearing about the matter of Jungkook getting married everywhere, he couldn't hold back anymore and directly went back to ask, "Dad, are you really getting married?"

Jungkook was in the middle of reading the newspaper when he heard Taehyung's words. He didn't even raise his head and said, "Who did you hear this from?"

Taehyung said, "Everyone is saying so......"

Jungkook said coldly, "Who's 'everyone'?"

Taehyung: "......" 

Jungkook saw Taehyung's sullen look and sighed lightly. He said, "I don't plan to get married." 

"Then what's going on with that woman?" Taehyung asked.

Jungkook heard this and his expression turned a little strange. He said, "Are you jealous?"

Taehyung was silent.

Nevertheless, Jungkook didn't force Taehyung to give him an answer and said, "Don't worry, I won't get married for the time being."

Taehyung didn't know if he should be happy or sad. He's happy that he won't have a stepmother. Jungkook started to talk once again and asked about some affairs about Taehyung's school and Taehyung answered them one by one. 

Taehyung is now a sophomore in senior high school and his grades are still as bad as ever.

Toward's Taehyung's grades, Jungkook actually didn't insist on anything. Either way, whether Taehyung passed his exams or failed his exams wouldn't change the trajectory of his life much.

Jungkook casually asked Taehyung which college he wanted to go to.

Taehyung randomly said a domestic college that was reckoned to be the first or second-best school in Korea.

After listening, Jungkook was silent for a moment before he said, "I want you to attend a college that's in this city."

When Taehyung heard this, the hairs on his back stood on end. He gave a hollow laugh, "Dad...... I want to go out and see the scenery of other places."

Jungkook said, "I can bring you."

Taehyung said, "Why does it have to be in this city? I don't want to be in this city."

Jungkook put down his newspaper and looked at Taehyung seriously, "Then give me a reason for why you must go to that school."

Taehyung immediately said, "My dream is to become an outstanding surgeon!"

Jungkook had a faint smile on his face, "A Surgeon who got a 36 in math?"

Taehyung: "......" This is the black spot in his life that he would never be able to erase.

Then Jungkook said, "All right."

Taehyung......Eh? Jungkook shook out his newspaper, an understanding smile on his face, "As long as you can manage to get in."

Taehyung: "......" He knew it!

Jungkook said, "As long as you can get it, I will let you go."

Taehyung blinked, "Really?"

Jungkook said, "Really."

Taehyung showed a matchlessly brilliant smile, "I will definitely get admitted."

Jungkook did not reply. In his opinion, according to Taehyung's current grades, it was impossible to get into that college.

There were still two years until Seojun's return to Korea. This year Ara will take the college entrance examination.
