Beverly Reid has parents—or at least, he likes to think he does. His mother—Norma Winchester, is in and out of jail—along with Beverly's father, Esteban Reid. This left him to be raised by his grandmother, who'd always been dealing with a few battles of her own.

And only a few weeks after his sixteenth birthday, did she pass away. This left Beverly a complete, and utter orphan. Well, that is until his parents serve the rest of their sentence, and come back home.
