"If you ever lose your way

Just one more thing before you leave

Don't forget to remember me."

-Carrie Underwood

"I'm sorry babe." He mumbled, pulling her out of her sleep.

After Paul left, she went back to his house to wait for him to come home, she must've fallen asleep outside on the rocking chair on his porch.

"It's okay." He pushed a strand of hair out her face and looked down at her, committing each of her unique features to memory. "I'll miss you a lot." She sat up and looked at him.

"I'll miss you too. When will we ever catch a break?" Paul mumbled into her hair, trying to commit her scent to memory too as he held her for the last time for awhile.

"Love is never easy."

He let out a humorless laugh. "You got that right."

She had already said goodbye to everyone and saved Paul for last. She wanted to spend as much time with him as she could. They only had a couple more minutes left. He used one of his hands to tilt her chin up as he gazed into her hazel orbs.

"I love you."

"I love you too Paul. Forever and always."

"Forever and always."

She stood up and pulled him in for a long hug, his arms immediately wrapping around her, hugging her twice as hard.

With each step she took away from him, it felt like a stab to his heart. Even though she was very much alive, which he was thankful for everyday, it didn't heal the hole in his heart to let her go a second time. She took one last look at the love of her life and ran.

Until we meet again

"Jacob? Is that you?"

She choose to run to Canada and then take a plane from there to give her more time before she went back to Greece. If she had it her way, she would've said fuck the crown and stayed in Washington. Amazons be damned. But she couldn't do it, she had to at least give it a fighting chance.

"TJ? What are you doing here?" He asked when he transformed back.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" Even though she already knew the reason.

"I can't believe she's getting married to him and changing into one of them. I thought I at least had a chance." He sulked, sitting on a rock.

She sat on the rock with him and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, pulling him into her. "I know it hurts right now but if it's meant to be then it will be and if not, then it's time to let go."

"Are you sure you weren't a poet in another life?" He joked breaking the tension.

TJ snorted unattractively. "I wish, life would be much easier."

"Good luck Queen Trinity." He saluted.

"Fuck off!"

"Trinity, you're back!" She turned to see her biological mother, Harmonia, run up to her and give her a hug.

They weren't the best of friends, but TJ slowly had come to terms with why her parents did what they did.

"You look great, Earth is treating you well?"

"As well as usual."

She still wasn't used to being around them, to her, Veronica and Thomas Marks would always be her parents. But she couldn't deny her roots, especially since she looked like a perfect blend of both her parents.

"Come along now, you must be tired." Harmonia dragged her daughter to her chambers and to the room that she had been staying in.

Everything looked the same, the room was the size of a single suite, decorated magnificently in whites and golds. And yet, she felt herself missing the room that she stay in at Sam and Emily's house.

That was her true home.

She could feel someone watching her sleep and her senses went on high alert. Before the other person knew it, they were on their back with her dagger pointed at their throat.

"Apollo? What are you doing in my room?" She asked as she got off the God of Sun—among other things.

"I heard you were back."

"And you couldn't wait till I woke up like everyone else?"

Apollo had been the first person to talk to her, many of the Gods and Goddesses looked down on her for growing up mortal but her parents only sent her there to protect her.

"How else was I supposed to gaze upon your beauty without being hit?" He joked.

"I still attacked you so I guess you can't do it while I sleep either."

He reminded her a lot of Jared and Embry, always laughing and joking at her expense.

"Hurry up and get ready, your father is coming today."

It was very rare that Ares came to this side of the realm, as she had only seen him twice since she's been here. He mostly chose to stay with his wife Aphrodite, who wasn't TJs biggest fan. Not that she cared. TJ quickly showered and dressed in her usual red cropped halter top, matching long skirt that had long slit on the left side and her gold gladiator sandals. She straightened her hair and put on her gold headpiece. She strapped two daggers to her thigh, just in case, and she was ready.

Apollo led her through the palace and gave her a thumbs up before scurrying far away from the presence of the God of War. She didn't blame him, he wasn't always pleasant. She walked into the room that normally held meetings and sat a few spaces away from Ares. She almost hated how much she looked like him, his dark brown hair pulled back into a low ponytail, and their matching brown skin. He had sharp facial features like most of the people here and his brown eyes stared at her.

"It is good to see that you are well, Trinity." Everyone here refused to call her the atrocious nickname that she went by on Earth, Hera's words, not hers.

"Thank you."

"Have you been training to make sure that you are in top shape for your challenges in 7 moons?"

"Yes sir." She wanted to vomit.

"Good." He dismissed her with a nod of his head.

Well that was a waste of time, he could've just said that to her in her room. According to Apollo though, he actually cared about her, otherwise he would've just sent one of his messengers to tell her. TJ couldn't help but laugh when he told her that, she had barely even spoken a full sentence to the guy, he couldn't like her.
