"'Cause I don't wanna lose you now

I'm looking right at the other half of me

The vacancy that sat in my heart

Is a space that now you hold"

-Justin Timberlake

She's slammed to the ground for the upteenth time, and she was sure that there was going to bruising all over her backside when this was over.

Did she even bruise?

"You'll never be an Amazon Queen if you can't even defeat me." Athena said.

TJ grumbled under her breath and took the hand that Athena had extended to her and helped her up.

"Obviously, you've been doing this for forever and I've only been here for a month." TJ complained as she rubbed her sore bottom, she definitely was going to bruise.

Athena had taught her how to read a Greek calendar and sundial so she estimated that she had been here for about a month. In that month she had befriended Artemis, Apollo and Athena. Artemis was teaching her how to track and hunt. Apollo was also helping her with archery. Athena was teaching her how to fight and enhance her wisdom in a fight. She talked to Harmonia and Ares sometimes but Ares was usually with his wife Aphrodite who didn't really care for TJ either way, not that she minded. It would take awhile for her to get used to being around her birth parents, but she figured that she would cut them some slack.

Right now she was getting her ass handed to her by Athena, as usual. If she thought that she was good at fighting on Earth, she was shit in the Gods eyes.

"We should wrap this up anyways, you have your lesson with Apollo now."

Thank goddess!

"You're not concentrating." Apollo huffed when TJ missed the target again. She knew she wasn't because in the past, she never missed.

She couldn't help it though, all she thought about was her family. Her parents, the guys and Paul. Even though the two latter, turned their back on her, she couldn't help but miss them all. They had too many good memories together. She honestly didn't mean to hurt Sam that bad, it felt like a switch had went off in her and she was having an outer body experience. The fear in their eyes was something she'd never forget. Her family, they were scared of her. She wouldn't be able to face them again, she couldn't.

"I'm sorry Apollo, can we call it a day?" Today she was too consumed with her thoughts of them.

They were probably better off without her.

"What is on your mind Trinity?" He asked as they walked through the palace.

She was used to the stares by now, mostly from the women, they didn't think she was worthy enough for Apollo's attention. He was a good looking man, TJ would admit, but he was nothing compared to her russet skin, copper eyed wolf. Being his imprint, no one could live up to him, every man and woman paled in comparison.

"Nothing and everything I suppose."

He raised a brow at the beauty, it wasn't a shock that he developed feelings for the young Amazon. Anyone with eyes would be able to see that he cared for her more than she did him. It was a tragedy that her fate was bound to another, he could've given her the world. Of course he wouldn't voice such thoughts to her, she'd probably never speak to him again. He valued their friendship too much to let it fade away to nothing.

"I just miss them my family is all and I hope they're doing better without me."

They deserved better than an outsider who would only hurt them all in the end.

"I doubt that that is true, from what I've seen, you bring great happiness to those around you."

She forgot, he was also the God of prophecy.

"If that were true, then they wouldn't have looked at me like that, like a monster."

She couldn't control herself that day and that would forever be her greatest regret. She deeply sighed.

"People often fear things that they don't understand. Your family loves you." He said with a small smile.

By now Paul had been starting to get used to the dreams he had about TJ. He had even started to hate Apollo for the feelings he has towards his imprint but he knows that Apollo doesn't exist and TJ isn't in some Greek realm.

He got out of bed, and when he stretched, his back spasmed and was hurting like mad. He went to his bathroom and when he looked in the mirror, dozens of bruises littered his body, the same ones that TJ would've had.
