They say time heals all wounds but if that were true, then why do I still feel so broken inside?

"It is with great sadness that we morn the loss of a LaPush resident, Trinity Jameson Marks." The priest started. "She was a bright young woman, just turned 19 and was a dear friend to us all."

There wasn't a dry eye in the house as everyone felt the loss of their friend, family member and imprint. The pack felt the loss the hardest, as the last time they had seen her, they had all turned their backs on her. Her mother's sobs were the loudest and it made the pack feel even guiltier.

A knock was heard at Sam's house as the pack was about to start eating. Emily had went to get the door as Sam was still recovering from his fight with TJ a few days ago. When she opened the door, they all looked to see TJ's mother in tears. The whole pack stood up, something was wrong. Paul felt his heart pound.

"What's wrong Mrs. Marks? Is TJ okay?" Emily asked.

"You mean you haven't seen her either?"

Paul felt his whole world stop and his heart fall to his feet.

"What do you mean?" Paul choked out.

Veronica had loved Paul like her own and knew how special he was to her daughter. She had hoped that one day they would get married, but that hope was quickly crushed when it seemed as if TJ just vanished into thin air.

"We haven't seen her in days."

The rest of the conversation blurred and when Veronica left, the pack searched high and low for their friend. Paul felt desperate and heartbroken. Had he of not sided with Sam then maybe she would be okay.

The days seemed to blur into one another and before they knew it, two weeks had passed before they got the devastating news...

"We were able to Id one of our most recent victim of the animal attack, 19 year old Trinity Marks."

The whole pack paused as a picture of TJ's smiling face came in the tv. Paul shook and ran outside, transforming into his wolf. Sam quickly ran after him and told him to stop.

"She's dead because of you!" He screamed in his head at Sam. "You should've left well enough alone!" He didn't really feel that way, if anything, it was all their faults. Had one of them stood up for her, she'd still be here.

Now the love of his life was gone.

Paul felt as if his life was on autopilot, he woke up, patrolled, ate, slept and repeat. He didn't care about the threat to Bella, he didn't care that they had new pack mates, he just didn't care about anything at all. TJ was his only concern.

TJ's parents had moved a few weeks ago across the country after the funeral, too depressed to face the loss of their only child and Paul wished that he could've gone with them.

A life without his imprint was no life at all.

He saw her in everything around the town.

At the diner

At the cliffs

The forest

And at Sam's house

A constant reminder of the loss of the love of his life. Never again would her hazel eyes light up and her nose would crinkle when she laughed.

Or furrow her brows when she was in deep concentration.

Or steal the food off his plate when she thought he wasn't looking.

Or get upset with him when they had take out and he ordered her a small because that's what she asked for, even though she really wanted a large.

His heart slowly broke with each passing day, withering away until he became nothing. His reason to live was gone, his love, his life, his TJ.
