《Frozen Heart》Chapter 9: It's sad how..

"It's dangerous Rosie. Why don't you understand?!" Sanem said.
"I'll handle it, don't you worry unnie", I tried to convince her. [Unnie means elder sister in Korean]
(Sanem is 3 years elder than your Author that's why she calls her elder sister that is unnie.)
Sanem is back here in L.A. as she got a week holiday from her college. She came to visit me and we've been talking for like hours now. She told me about her college, educational campaigns and about her (love) life *Smiles mischievously*.
And I told her about those headaches, Ali and Irfan. I also told her about my new WhatsApp groups. And now she's afraid that something bad will happen to me as they're unknown groups and unknown people. Also it's on social platform. She says it's risky communicating with unknown people online and sharing personal info with them. It's true to some extent but it's not that bad.
My bestie aka my unnie is the one who introduced me to the social world through Facebook. I'm glad she did cause after that I've made so many good friends from across the world. I've got to know them well but unnie is worried.
She knows that I'm kind of a social butterfly that's why I like making new friends even though it's on social media. I love how she has always cared about me and been protective. But in this case, I know I won't go wrong but she's still worried. I mean I can't guarantee that things will always go right but still... I always try to assure her that I'll be fine and I'll try to lessen the communication with those online friends. But she knows that I won't obey her nor anyone hehe. *Grins*
I'm trying my best though. Anyways you remember that guy who's the admin of that rp gc? Lemme tell you, we're dating! Oh- wait- no, no not in real life. You're getting me wrong. I meant to say that our roles are dating in that gc and he proposed to do so. Well tbh I was expecting #taetzu too so let's say initially I asked him that "Is your rp dating anyone in the gc?"

(Your Author loves you so much that she's showing her in real life WhatsApp chats to you, to her dear readers (。ŏ‿ŏ)
(TMI- It's a Korean rp gc. Your Author is playing the role of Chou Tzuyu from Twice and the admin guy is playing the role of Kim Taehyung from Bts. Interesting isn't it? 👀)
He's really a good guy. He's from Samara, Russia. We're good friends now and he always tells me literally everything that happens in his life. He worries alot when I tell him about my sulked down life. He even scolds me sometimes you know. *Pouts* But that actually makes him cuter! >.
Also, he likes singing! And oh God, his voice? Don't even ask me. It's so damn manly, deep and husky and sexy too! Girls out there who are reading this, I bet you'll get goosebumps and a shiver will run down your spine after hearing his voice. Even boys will feel something in their stomach ;)
Okay, don't think I'm falling for him. Btw his name is Lev Orlov and he is just 13, still in middle school. Haha he's way younger than me and he's like my lil brother. He even calls me noona. [Noona means elder sister in Korean]
I'm guessing, you guys literally thought that finally Rose found someone *Chuckles*. You got it wrong dear lovelies.
(This Lev guy is literally so popular among girls irl. I got to know this through him and through other online friends. Btw I may not mention him that much in further chapters but I wanted ya'll to know that this guy exists in your Author's life. Anyways, I'm glad I found a lil brother from another nation. He's the sweetest y'all!)
Sarah started going on vehicle with one of our school friends and my dad started dropping me at school. We still used to hang out together and eat together in lunch breaks but slowly and unknowingly we started to drift apart. We still talked but it became limited upto studies and school stuffs.
Soon I found Stella, an introvert and a lonely girl. She got so happy when she talked with me and after that she started to look for me everyday and we became good friends. She introduced me to her other middle school friends who were in the same high school as us but in different departments.

I started to hang out with them and spent more of the school time with them. Stella never let me go away as she always clinged to me so I never got a chance to go and visit my old friends.
One day, Stella didn't come to school as she was out of city due to some family functions. That day I decided to have lunch with Sarah and other friends of mine.
"Hey! How are you all?" I sat on an empty chair and leaned on the table with a smile on my face.
"Finally you got some time for us?", one of my friends said.
"Hey why are you saying like that?! She's our friend after all", another friend of mine tried to defend me while the one who taunted me just scoffed.
"I always have time for you all. It's just that you guys never remember me so I thought it's better if I don't be with y'all. Even today, it's me who came to you", I said trying not to be harsh or rude.
"Okay~ we're doing good Rose. How are you doing? How are those new friends of yours? And where's Stella huh?" Sarah said trying to change the topic.
"Everything's fine and Stella's out of city so she didn't come today", I replied.
"That's why she's here", I heard that even though it was said in a low voice.
"Don't mind her, you know she likes taunting people and gossiping about them", Sarah whispered knowing how I'm feeling.
I just nodded and had a small yet very formal chat with them most of which was gossiping. I stayed quiet and just looked into my phone whenever they started that. The lunch break then got over and we headed to our respective classes.
After chatting with them today, I realised something. It's not like they can't come to me and talk with me but something's there which is stopping them. It's not their ego or anything like that. Maybe they have it (ego) but it's more like they think I'm someone with higher standards than them.
The way they said,
"You've got the friends who have that elite, that standard and talent that we don't have."
"Rosie, you're more suited to be with those girls rather than us."
These kind of sentences from them made me feel like- they think they're not enough deserving to be my friend. And that's obviously not it! Why do we even need to think of standards and all while befriending someone?! I tried to make them understand but I don't know how much they understood.
It's sad how they think of me and my friendship like that. I've never discriminated people by their standards and elite. Afterall, friendship has nothing to do with standard, money and all.
It's sad how my friends are drifting away from me just because of their silly thoughts that they won't even tell to me so that I can clear it up.
Also, it's sad how it'll never be possible for me nor my online friends to meet each other. How much close bond we make, in the end, it'll just be an online friendship.
It's sad how people never understand my true motives and self. Actually I always try to hide my true feelings and emotions but still *looks down sadly*.
It's sad how your Rose will never leave her stubbornness and will never obey her parents, friends or anyone. Ehe- just kidding y'all. I sometimes do obey people only if the thing sounds reliable to me. *Smiles*
(Mianhae Sanem unnie *makes an innocent face*) [Mianhae means sorry in Korean]
(Author: Ayyooo~ how are y'all doing? I hope you liked this chapter atleast a lil. I'm thinking of stopping for a while. There's been a lot of college admission work lately and I'm unable to update every Friday. Anyways I'll let you know if I think so. Thanks for choosing this story and giving it a try. Author loves you a lot!! Bye~)
