《Frozen Heart》Chapter 1: Meeting my bestie

I was holding my cup of Latte and waiting for my bestfriend to arrive.
Park Chaeyoung as Roséanne Simpson
I looked at the city view from the place I was sitting. The view from this café is just amazing. It's the famous one, 'Perch rooftop café' and it's the table we always sit whenever we meet. The greenery, the tall buildings and the beautifully colored sky, all these together in a frame is just an amazing scenery to look at.
The weather seems good too. It's neither too sunny nor too cloudy. Cool breeze blowing lightly on my face and through my hair. It's just the perfect weather, just like the type me and my bestie like!
"Hey! You came early today?"
Here we go, she's here, Sanem Divit, a pharmacist and soon to be a doctor and may I say a fashion designer too. She's my childhood bestie.
We've laughed, fought, cried, enjoyed and gone through many hardships together but never till our last breath will we be apart. She understands me and I understand her and that's the best thing!
(My bestie is a talented girl😌. Anyone can borrow talent from her but they should give something in return. Lol just kidding ;) Just shower lots of love and support on this story and that's it!)
"Yepp!" I give her my usual eye smile and she returned it to me.
"It's so tiring studying our ass out", she sighed and sat across me.
I hummed a 'hmm'.
She looked for the menu card and ordered a cappuccino for herself. She was engrossed in her phone, smiling widely. I guess I know the reason of her this smile.
I sighed and drifted off to my own world AGAIN. I was smiling lightly looking at the table.
"Hey!" Sanem waved a hand in front of my face.

"Y-yea?" I replied baffled.
She sighed, "You were zoning out again."
"Oh sorry. You were busy with your phone so...", I said pointing at her phone.
"Okay I'll keep it aside now. Fine?" She said.
I nodded smiling like a kid.
"How's life going on? It's been very long that we haven't met in person like this right?" She said.
"Yeah umm I guess it's almost been an year?" I replied.
"Yep", she said.
"My life is that same old one", I said looking at my Latte.
She raised one brow and asked, "Like?"
"People staring at me, talking shit about me and all. You know it right?" I said.
She nodded in understanding.
"How's your life going there in that college? Any new proposals?" I asked her in a playful manner wiggling my eyebrows.
"I've told you about that in chats ok. Now don't act like you know nothing. Oh by the way, I forgot to tell you about that guy...", She continued telling me about a guy who was staring at her during the class and kept on smiling looking at her.
(She's so beautiful irl that boys just can't stop staring at her😄. She truly is! I'm not kidding this time.)
We talked and laughed and ate our brunch. It was time to leave the café as we've been sitting here for like 4-5 hours. We payed our bill and went out.
"You haven't found anyone yet right?" She asked out of nowhere.
"Why are you asking this when you already know the answer?" I said.
"Hmm so it's a 'no'. Ok promise me you'll tell me whenever you'll get in a relationship", she said.
I sighed, "That day is never gonna come so don't worry about me telling you this news. It's just a dream of yours that I'll ever be involved in such things."

"Oh c'mon Rose, you're 17 already! When the hell will you even kiss and break your virginity?!" She yelled at me frustrated.
"You don't need to worry about that. I'll be doing all that after I turn 40 so there's still umm 23 years more to wait", I replied.
I was still walking when I suddenly noticed she isn't beside me, walking with me. I looked back and there she was glaring at me.
"Have you gone crazy or what Rose?! You were always like this! You know that I was like you too but I changed, love made me change! You should give it a try too!" She said more like yelled holding my shoulders and shaking me.
I looked around us and saw passer-bys staring at us and whispering something. Sanem yelled at me yet they were looking at me. I exactly knew why they're staring at me though. I looked at my friend who wasn't bothered by all the starings.
"I'll try", I said and continued walking.
"Ok tell me why you actually don't want to be in a relationship?" She asked and started walking with me again.
"Umm I don't know. I'll tell you once I figure out the reason", I said.
She sighed knowing that it's useless to persuade me into this.
We walked to a park and sat on a bench and talked more about the ongoings of life. She told me more about her relationship. I told her about my high school life and all. The talk went quite nice and soon it was evening. We bid our farewells to each other for the day.
I was walking towards my house when I saw some guys sitting, laughing and smoking.

A Beginner's Guide to Napping, Sunbathing, and Slaughtering Your Prey
Fang is a simple cat. Fang likes napping in the sun. Fang does not like being called Chairman Meow. Fang likes his belly being scratched for precisely 17.329 seconds. Fang does not like being punted between dimensions. Fang likes hunting and killing defenseless wildlife. Fang does not like mysterious blue boxes that appear out of thin air. Fang is having a Very Bad Day. A few things to note: Fang is a cat soul in a cat body, and that's not going to change any time soon. No cat girl evolution or possessed puppet or any of that. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. There is no epic tale here, only a cat doing cat things in a (hopefully) interesting setting. The game elements are pretty light, mostly there for flavor, so don't expect a huge amount of crunch. Nature is cruel, and cats are crueler than most.
