When Theo took me to the past to watch Sabine and Eric/Ulrik, I thought he wanted me to see how The Vale was before it became a school, I thought he wanted me to see the couple that decided to work on their destiny and got themselves killed. I never knew that he was telling me something, I didn't know my journey to the past will have a meaningful reason to my present and future.

I watched my parents- my real parents playing in the garden, I saw how in love they were with each other. It's too sad to know that the beautiful love ended them. Now I know why Theo didn't let me witness the birth of their child because he knew it was me and I also remember seeing Dean with Eric.

Am a half witch half demon, I was conceived by two loving parents but my existence is an abomination. Everything clearly make sense to me now; why The Elsword bonded with me, why Jessica is so loyal to me. Everything is all because I am The El Princess Granddaughter, and every Princess needs a Sage and a royal weapon.

I still can't wrap my head around it. When I was young and would stay up late reading The Disney edition of The El Princess, I thought it was just an illustrated horror children's book, I didn't know it was real.

I didn't know the full story about The El Princess or Sabine and Eric love story, all I know is that am the last of my bloodline, for being a Scorpio and an El Demon. Everything all make sense and it's doesn't.

Professor Holme and Roman are on to me and I don't know what they are planning. It's funny how things change in a matter of time, the beginning of my semester here I thought Roman likes me, hell, I thought we had something going on, I didn't know it was all put in motion by him and the Chemistry Professor.

Do you what's more funny? It's the fact that Dean's real name is actually El-Gar-El, the Royal gatekeeper, he and Damien are also from Di Hipsodat, now I know why I always feel at peace whenever am with Damien, it's because he is one of my own.

Am technically an alien. Wow! I did not see that coming.

Am not ready to know the full truth, am not ready to know what happened with Sabine and Eric, Am not ready to know how I ended up with Corrine and Richard. Am not ready because am not sure how I'll handle the truth.

I know I shouldn't have left the Cafe without talking to my foster Dad well but I was so upset, and I regret leaving him there. They have a point by not telling me because I know if they told me from the start, I'll snoop around and stick my nose into something that is stronger than me.

I found out the truth five days ago and I have been laying in bed doing nothing, not preparing for the test I have today or anything. Jessica has always been supportive and I owe her a lot for everything she has done for me, without her I don't know if I can move on from this, she's a good person and I know I can trust her with everything I have-

"Oh my God! Really?" That is Nate. He has been coming to check up on me like sort of a sick patients.

I groan and bury myself under the duvet. "I command you to disappear," I mumble. Apart from Jessica, Nate, Dean, Damien and I no one knows about what I know, not even Nate's roommate Roman, whom I haven't seen since we got back from my house after we were attacked by the Sisters of The Dark, which also explains why the Sisters were there to destroy me.

I feel the side of my bed sink down. "Knock knock," Nate's speaks directly in my hear and knocking my head. "Anybody home?"

Am about to blast him with my power when the door of my room opens. "Stop disturbing her, Nathan," Jessica caution him.

I smirk and pull the cover down my head and sit upright. "Thank you, Jess, finally someone with sense," I roll my eyes at Nate.

"Someone with sense?" He scoffs and moves to Jess's bed. "Her babying you won't solve your problems, Cami," He complains.

This isn't the first time this week we are having this conversation, Nate wants us plan and destroy Roman and Professor Holme, he was pretty devastated when he heard Roman was involved.

"Am not babying her, she needs time and am allowing it," Jessica huffs and sits on his lap.

He wraps his arms around her body and kisses the side of her head. "I know, love. But we can't wait for them to do something, see my point sweetheart?"

I chuckle and shake my head. "Maybe they are waiting for us to do something, Roman asked about you today and he mentioned something about Australia," Jessica informs us.

Nate turns his head to me swiftly. "See! I told you that we need to act fast," He presses.

I shake my head. "We are not doing anything until we find out what they want, we have Chemistry test in an hour, I'll prepare and come write the test," I tell them.

Nate groans at the mention of test, Nate and I are like the same except I try hard in my academic life, Nate doesn't care about school, he said he only came to The Vale because he did some bad back at his home in London and his parents are friends with Dean, they knew about his powers and wanted him to be responsible enough to take over the family business.

As for me, I don't know if I can make it till the end of the semester. With my real parents dead and my foster parents on the brink of death, I know am next and I also know am the reason for their death, I just need to be ready for anything.

Walking into the Chemistry Laboratory is giving me a crazy deja Vu of my first class, as soon as I step into the Lab, everyone stops what they are doing to stare at me.

"Nice of you to grace us with your presence Miss Stark," Professor Holme says nonchantly, if he suspect something, his face didn't give it away.

I shrug. "Nice to be back," I clear my throat and look ahead for empty sit, everywhere is filled except Alyssa's, Alicia's sister.

I go ahead and sit beside her at the back of the Lab. I walk pass Jessica and Nate, Penelope and Roman, Calvin and Alicia, Brie and Ari.

"Hi," I say to her, not expecting a reply. The girl might as well be bad as her sister.

She raises her head and whispers. "Hi," Offering me a smile in return.

I raise my eyebrows, well I wasn't expecting that. "Am Cami," I introduce myself knowing full well that she knows who I am.

"I know, my sister told me all about you," She replies.

I bet.

"She can't tell you all about me," I say and she raises her eyebrows in question. "She doesn't know anything about me," I tell her.

She smiles nervously. "I didn't mean it like that, she told you were her roommate before I arrived, am sorry she kicked you out," She says in sincerity.

I chuckle. "She didn't kick me out, I left because living with your sister is hell, no offense," I say with a small laugh.

She laughs and nods. "None taking, Alicia is a bitch. We should get together sometimes, am going to the library after the test to prepare for Potion Making three zero four," She suggests.

I scrunch my nose. "I haven't even started potion making yet, rain check?"

"How about lunch?"

I nod. "Sure, Lunch," I answer.

She smiles and nods. "Lunch it is-"

"It seems like there is more talk going on here," Professor Holme's unpleasant voice stops us from giggling.

I roll my eyes while Alyssa bury her head down. He places two test sheet in our front.

"Good luck and see me after class, Miss Stark," He whispers and walks away.

I tilt my head to side to see Alyssa giving me an apologetic expression, I shake my head silently telling her that it's not her fault. I can't believe she and Alicia are related.

"Radioactivity, Organic Chemistry," I am definitely going to fail this test.

I wait for everyone to clear out of the class before I go to Professor Holme because I have a feeling that what he wants to talk to me about is private.

Alyssa and I agreed to meet up at the dinning hall, I told Nate and Jessica that I'll meet them during lunchtime, I still have to submit my English essay.

When am positive that every one is out of the class, I approach him and clear my throat when I get to his front.

"You wanted to see Professor Holme?"

He drops his pen and remove his glass. "Ha, yes! Cami. Please take a sit," He offers gesture at the stool in front of his mahogany desk.

I pull the stool and sit on it. "Thank you," I say and swallow.

He sighs and places his intertwine fingers on his desk and lean forward. "It has come to my attention that you took a copy of The Demon and Witch from the library," He begins.

Fuck you, Groff.

I nod. "Yes I did," There is no point in denying it.

"Do you know why that shelf is restricted?" He asks.

Because it the only thing stopping the students from going into the dark museum and seeing the dark objects and the grimoire for dark magic.

"Because it's filled romance novels, and I'll say your book is more like a New Adult genre than Romance."

He bite the inside of his cheek and recline on his chair. "You think?"

I nod. "I know."

He nods. "If you say so," He mumbles.

"If that is it, can I go now?"

"One more thing before you go," He stops me when I was about to stand up from the stool. "How was your trip to Australia?"

And he just confirmed that I am on surveillance, I won't play your game Holme, you- you and Roman will be the one playing my game.

"I didn't go to Australia," I shrug nonchalantly.

He raises his eyebrows in question, he is debating whether to believe me or not. "You didn't?" I nod. "I thought you were going to visit your parents."

He thought wrong. For someone who calms to be a Mastermind, he is shitty with getting an information from an asset.

"I was because I couldn't get hold of them, I don't know where they are exactly so I just figured I'd go after the semester ends," I lie.

He nods. "I can help you find them if you want," He offers.

Maybe when hell freezes over which is impossible.

I shake my head. "Nah am good. I need to focus on my school work, I think they need their own time, am sure they'll contact me when they are ready," I tell him giving him the perfect expression, not letting anything show.

He nods. "Good then, academic comes first," He agrees with me.

I nod and give him a fake smile. "Yeah, thanks though."

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask," Speaks like a true idiot.

I smile. "Sure," I stand up from the sit and walk away from the Lab.

"Inviting Alyssa to our table is just crazy, what were you thinking?!" Jessica whispers yelling at me.

The three of us are sitting on our usual table at the dinning hall, the both of them freaked out when they heard that I invited Alyssa to eat lunch.

"The both of you were a part of their clique like a month ago, aren't you being hypocrites," I roll my eyes at them.

Jessica's mouth drops open. "Actually you are right," She says.

"Incoming," Nate whispers.

Jessica and I turn our head to the side to see Alyssa approaching. She smiles when she reaches our table with her lunch. "Hey guys," She tucks the loose strands of her blonde hair behind her ear.

I smile and shift for her to sit. "Hi, how was potion making?" I ask curiously.

She shakes her head and show us her hand. "Bad," She frowns.

Her fingers are black, something definitely went wrong with it. "Nice paint, Al," Nate mocks and winks at her.

Jessica clears her throat and nudge his stomach with her elbow. "What-" Jessica fills his mouth with fries to stop him from talking.

I cover my mouth to stop myself from laughing so hard. "Real classy Jessica," I mention.

"Are you guys going for the post test party at the old barn?" Alyssa asks.

I look at Nate and Jessica. "I don't do parties, so no am not going," I have more pressing matters to figure out.

"We are coming," Jessica answers for the both of them.

"Cool."

Cool my ass.

"Ohh, will you look at that," I close my eyes and shake my head at the sound of Penelope's voice.

She and Alicia are approaching our table. I look ahead to see Roman and his creepy sisters looking at out table.

Not today girl. I don't care if her sister is on this table. I stand up from the sit and stand, waiting for them to say something that will earn them a punch.

"Step aside, Cami. We are not here for you," Alicia says.

I chuckle. "You are approaching my table, everyone on this table is my friend, I'll say you are here for me. Step away and everything will be okay, nobody will go spend useless hours in a Chambre de Shit."

Penelope scrunches her nose and stand toe to toe with me. "You think you are so tough, Cami but you are nothing. You don't want to cross me," She warns.

I pinch the bridge of my nose. "I think we both know who is crossing who here," I whisper but I know my words carry weight.

She sighs and release a deep breath as she back away, I also release a deep breath when she walks away pulling a confused Alicia with her.

"That was epic," Alyssa squeals as I go back to sit. "Those two scare me, especially Penelope, I can't believe you scare her off......"

Nate and Jessica chirps in. I zone off the entire conversation.

On our way to my room, Jessica and Nate can't stop arguing about the answers they got at the chemistry test. I roll my eyes at them before I hear my phone vibrating, it's a strange number.

"Quiet," I screech at Nate and Jessica.

"Is this Cami Starling?"

"Cami Stark, yes. What can I do for you?"

"Any relationship with Corinne and Richard Starling?"

"Yes, my parents. What's wrong?"

"Am sorry to inform you that Richard Starling was found dead in his hotel room and Corrine was found-"

"Just say they were both murdered."

"Am sorry Miss-"

I remove my phone from hear and throw it against the wall.
