Devil is on your shoulder

Stranger in your head

If you don't remember

If you can't forget

I thought Google knew everything. Endless search and all I got was an explanation about ravens.

A group of ravens is called an unkindness or conspiracy which seems fitting, since ravens are traditionally creepy. It makes great sense giving my middle is Raven.

I have been trying to get hold of my parents but it's like they've disappeared of the face of the Earth. I can't help but think that something bad has happened to them.

"Hey, Cami. What you doing?" I raise my head to meet Roman's gaze. I roll my eyes and groan.

Why does it always have to be him?

"Go away, Roman," I need to be alone, or I was enjoying my lonely moment. The whole school is currently in the common room seeing a movie adaptation of Little Women, apparently the school is into drama, and are currently working on school production of the book.

He scoffs and he pulls the chair in front of me. I didn't feel like having dinner with the other students, so I just secluded myself. The hostel kitchen is actually great. Made myself a vanilla pancake.

"I mean I could. Tell me about the sign you showed Mulligan," He demands. I knew there was a reason why he came, the last time I saw this man, he was talking about my ass, and not in a good way.

"So, you are stalking me now?"

He snorts and takes a bite out of my pancake. He gives me a thumbs up as he swallows without chewing. What type of human doesn't chew.

"Don't flatter yourself, I heard your conversation with her, you are not the only one with issues," He reminds me with an amusing expression.

What's gotten into him tonight? He is weird, and it's nauseating.

"Good to know. What were you doing in her office?" I ask curiously. Roman can be so cunning and nosy something.

"I never said I was in her office. I was waiting for you to finish your session," He shrugs playfully.

I sigh and lean on the counter. "She said the sign is nothing," I tell him.

He shakes his head. "She was lying," His jaws clenches as he strongly disagrees.

I rest my chin on my hand. "How can you tell?"

He seems to be the eyes and ears of the school.

"For once, she said your conversation would stay in the room, it never did," He informs me.

"What are you talking about?"

"If the sign meant nothing, she wouldn't have gone straight to the Headmaster to tell him."

So much for the conversation staying between us. She lied to me. That's two.

"How do you even know all this?" I ask curiously.

"There is some things called a hearing Spell," He reminds me.

Of course, there is always a magical solution to everything.

"Right."

He looks around like he's looking for something or someone. "What are you doing alone? You shouldn't be alone after what happened earlier," He says with a genuine and concern smile. I didn't think it was possible.

I roll my eyes at his sudden behavior. "I don't know how it's any of your concern."

He snorts and scratches the back of his neck. "Well Saoirse and Artemis are worried about you," He tells me.

I don't think they are worried at all, because if they are, they should have tried asking how I was, but instead they ignored me. I didn't expect that kind of behavior from them, well again I don't know them like I thought I did.

"Why do you call them that anyway?" I ask curiously. The name Brianna and Arianna is beautiful, only Roman calls them that and I don't think it their second name.

He sighs and stare at my almost finished pancakes. "I can call my sister whatever I like," He replies as he looks up to see my reaction.

I blink my eyes. I think am feeling sleepy. Is my hearing fine at all. "Your sisters?" I try not to sound surprised, well I am surprised. "Geez! No one tells me anything, you look nothing alike," I say.

I can list hundred difference between them.

He gets up from the stool and pack my pancakes and juice. "Go to bed Camille, you look like you need to sleep."

Fair enough. He just told me that he is the brother of the creepy twins, which makes sense because he is always himself around them.

He is right about one thing though. I need to sleep. I can't figure it out all at once. And thanks to Roman, am going to bed hungry.

Bloody Nuisance.

I enter the building, somehow this building feels familiar, like I have been here before. Maybe am seeing things again.

I appear inside a large room, there is a man and a woman inside. The man is chained to a pole and the woman is laying on the floor, blood dripping from both their bodies.

I hear a small whimper, I almost didn't hear it because it was faint. I look in front of me to suddenly meet a baby wrapped in a black cloak, sleeping peacefully.

This isn't right.

I look around and notice the man and the woman are gone, leaving me with the baby.

"What the-?"

I see a man, I can't see his face because of the cloak, he tighten his grip on his cane and nods.

I look behind me to see another man dressed similarly without the cane. He raises his hand and suddenly fire appears.

I look around me again and realize that both men are gone, so is baby. Leaving me alone.

I turn to the exit and run towards the door. I try the doorknob but it won't bulge. I notice the fire is spreading. I bang the door loudly.

"Let me out of here, somebody, please help me?!" I scream in pain and pure agony.

I turn so that my back will be resting against the door and slide down. I wrap my hand around my leg and pull it against my chest. And hear a cough, I look infront to a woman clutching a bundle like her life depends on it, I know that bundle is a baby.

I feel the heat on my feet. There is nothing I can do to save them or myself. I raise my head up and scream.

"Camille!" A voice pulls me out of my nightmare.

I thrash on the bed and push away the body beside me. The body is strong because I can still feel his hands around me, keeping me from hurting myself and him.

"Shh, hush now, it's just a dream," Roman's voice gives me peace and the feel of his hand on my hair, soothe me.

I let out a relief sigh. Am out of danger, am safe now.

"It didn't feel like a dream," I say after I regain my sense and realize that I am no longer in danger.

I look around me and groan. "What are you doing on my bed?"

Roman removes his hand around, I feel empty when he withdraw them from my body, but then he pulls me closer to him. "After your little show earlier today, I know something like this will happen," He says as he tucks the loose strands of hair behind my hair.

I sigh and place my hand flat on his chest. "My head's burning," I whisper. Am starting to get tired of all this.

He removes his hand from my hair and places it on my forehead. "What was it about?" He asks and presses a small kiss on my forehead.

"I can't even explain it because it's not clear to me but in the end a woman and her child were burned alive, and I couldn't do anything. I felt really powerless," I explain to me.

I pull myself away from Roman and sit upright. I tuck my leg under my butt and sigh. Roman sits up and I notice he is putting on a shirt and shorts. Apart from his jersey I have never seem him in short.

"But it was just a dream," He assures me.

I shake my head. "It didn't feel like a dream," I try to convince myself that it's a dream, but it is too real to be a dream. "It felt more like a memory and I know it sounds crazy because I have never seen the woman or the baby before."

Roman sighs and pushes his curls away from his face. "There must be a pattern to your dreams," He says.

The only pattern I know is the fire.

"I don't know except everytime it always ends up with me getting burned alive in different scenario," I say.

He nods in understanding and his expression shows that he cares. That's a first, Roman cares about me. "And that's when you scream and use your powers without knowing," I guess he is trying to understand the whole thing.

I need to see a dream doctor.

"I am pyrophobic, I have had fears of fire before I can remember but this is totally different, am not afraid of getting burned, I mean I have heard my fair share of burn in the kitchen but in my dream, it's terrifying."

I can't begin to explain how scary my dreams are.

"Maybe-" I interrupt what he's going to say.

"Maybe am crazy, I just...."

Don't know what to do. Nothing makes sense anymore.

I feel his hand on my naked thigh. I look up to see him staring at me. "Relax, Camille. I will always be here for you," He whispers.

I smile sadly and nod. "If you are always here for me then why do you ignore me and treat me badly when there is a third person in the room?"

Let's face it, the only time Roman and I ever talk is when no one else is around, I don't even know what will happen if someone barge in.

"Because you are annoying," He replies sincerely.

I didn't expect him to answer at all.

I push his hand away from my thigh and shift away from him a little. "Thank you very much."

He frowns at my behavior. "I didn't mean it like that," He tells me.

I scoff. "It's okay," You don't have to let me off nicely.

He moves closer. "I like your spirit, Camille. I like you just the you are," His sincerity amuse me.

"You certainly don't show it, anyway am going back sleep, goodnight," I say and didn't move to sleep.

"I have a rather different way of showing that I like you, and I know your way and mine are very different," He informs me.

I smile. "Why don't you let me be the judge of that, because you-" He cut me off by slamming his lips to mine, hard might I add.

His hands immediately reach for the hem of the T-shirt and he peels it upward off my body. He presses his mouth to mine again, his tongue massages mine and he wraps his arms around me tightly. He moans into my mouth as I put my hands farther up his shirt.

As our lips brush, he gently pulls away, nuzzles his head in my neck, planting a small kiss there, then slowly brings his lips back up. He kisses the corner of my mouth, then my jaw, sending shivers of pleasure through me. His lips brush over mine once more and he runs his tongue over my bottom lip before closing his lips around mine and opening them again. The kiss is gentle and slow, as he laps his tongue around mine. One of his hands rests on my hip, fisted around the material of my shirt where it has bunched up at my thighs. The other hand caresses my cheek as he kisses me; my arms wrap around his back, hugging him tightly to me. He brushes his nose against my cheek as I pull his shirt up and over his head. It strains to get over his hair, but he reaches one hand up and tugs it as he lifts off me. He tosses the shirt and immediately dips his head back down and finds my lips once more. I grab his hand and move it back but the soft and gentle way he is kissing me feels even better than the hard one he started with. My hands travel up his back. His narrow hips grind down on mine, and a whimper escapes my lips.

Post make out session is us cuddling together. I have heard my fair share of kisses but with Roman it's entirely different, he takes care of me with just his mouth, I love the feel of his mouth on me, his soft lips and hard kisses.

"Tell me something fun from your childhood," Roman suddenly asks out the blue as his hand twirl my messy hair.

He is still shirtless, and I love him without his shirt. My hand is rubbing his smooth chest.

I chuckle. "Can't you just Hocus Pocus your way in there?" I ask knowing he can just go into my mind without me knowing, perks of being a telepath. Dean said if I continue with my class and do spell regularly that I might be able to do it too.

"I don't want to invade your mind without telling you," He poke my cheek.

I yawn and look up to his eyes. "Well, I will only tell you if you are willing to share yours," That's my ultimatum. If we are going to do this, I mean be more than friends, I should try getting to know him better, and having a pillow talk is not a bad idea.

He grins and shakes his head. "Maybe we should postpone this talk then," He says.

I roll my eyes at his behavior. "Come on, you can't be that bad," I conclude that maybe the reason he doesn't want to share his past with me is because he was a bad kid.

He chuckles, which vibrates through his chest. "I'm not."

I raise my head up and stare at me as he's staring down at me. "So... are you gonna tell me?" I whine.

He smiles at my behavior. "I will."

"Good," I giggle and press a small kiss on his jaw.

He responds by pulls me tighter. "Story time."

I swallow as I try to remember something fun from my childhood. "I don't remember much from the first five years but I know I spoke the wrong English, at first it was a joke but I realized that I couldn't compose a correct sentence," I tell him. It was very funny when I would deliberately say the wrong thing, the more I did it, the more I realize that I was actually losing my mind.

Roman raises his eyebrows in question. Well I would want to question the revelation, if it was me too. "Why would you do that? Speak wrong English?" He asks curiously.

I shrug. "I have always wanted my own language," I add, ever since I was young I have always wanted to have my own thing, stuff that I create on my own, Language included.

"So the wrong sentence is your way of language composition?" Am not too sleepy to notice the humor in his voice.

I frown. "Shut up," I snap playfully.

"You are funny," He says.

"Tell me something I don't know," I whisper, am drifting off and it's taking everything in me to keep my eyes open.

"Good night, Camille," The last I hear as everything fades to black.
