"Camille!" I hear Dean's deep voice behind me, he looks serious this time.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Ere eketa engji ya va Ulrik El Noe El, Camille Raven Stark, stop this Now!" He yells and like that everything change back.
I take a deep breath as I feel something leave my body. I sigh as I come back to my sense, I look around to see the damages I have caused. I wasn't myself but I loved what I was doing.
I notice the witches holding themselves, casting some spells, I can't hear what they are saying but fog suddenly covers the whole school.
"What is going on?" I ask no one in particular, they are all busy doing something with the weather.
"They are making them forget what you did," Dean's voice sounds deep and firm.
He didn't make eye contact with me, which means he is disappointed. They whole school clears and everything becomes normal, Xander and his friends are still laughing, it's like they return them back before I started attacking, Thank God no one suffer any injury.
I watch as the guys walk back to their sits, they aren't looking me. It seems almost like the are afraid of me.
What have I done?
"Dean-" He interrupts me before I get the chance to say anything.
"Save it for my office, Camille," He says and turns to the remaining students. "I know you are all exhausted, we can either forfeit the game or continue playing, your pick?"
They player exchange looks, I can't even look at Roman, he must be thinking that am crazy, maybe I am.
"We'll continue playing," Roman says and stands up, they rest follow behind. They all pass by me without sparing me any glance.
That is how bad my situation is.
Am left standing. "Cami," I raise my head to Jessie's voice. "Hey, you okay?"
I raise my eyebrows. "What do you mean?" I ask with a chuckle, of course am fine. If she saw what I did, I know she'll also be moving towards the opposite direction, but thank God they made them all forget.
"I saw what you just did now, Cami. Are you a witch?"
My world is spinning, I feel like am being swallowed alive.
"Are you all witches?" She asks again.
I use my hand to cover her mouth and pull her away from the crowd, I notice something on the back of my hand, it's an arrow, it looks like a tattoo, and it's already fading.
I think am starting to get it now, all these strange marks appears on my body whenever I do magic, and I don't know what they mean. After what happened today, I don't think I want to do magic again.
I slam her back on our bus, not hard enough to hurt her but hard enough to sting. "Why didn't the Hocus Pocus work on you?" I ask.
"Hocus what?" She tries to play dumb.
I slam my hand on either side of her head. "Don't play dumb with me, Jessica. They wiped everyone's memory of the incident."
She furrows her brows. "So that's what that was about, I thought they wanted to make it rain," She shrugs.
I slam my left hand in frustration, she jumps. "Why didn't you forget?"
She shrugs. "I don't know," She denies, and I can tell she's lying.

"Jessica tell me the tru-"
"I swear I don't know, I just wanted to ask why you didn't tell me that was the real reason you transferred and please unblock my number."
"I will, and I didn't tell you because I don't know how to tell you," I lie, I didn't want to tell her.
She reaches her hand up and push my hand away, breaking the cage I made around her. "I don't blame you, can I come with you?"
I raise my eyebrows in question. "To The Vale?"
She nods. "I wish I could take you with me, Jessica. But that place isn't for you, am still adjusting to the life there," I answer sincerely.
Honestly, I wish I could take her with me, we can be roommate and shit, she knows me more than the people in The Vale.
"Just promise to unblock my number and keep in touch."
I close my eyes. "I promise."
Am surprised she isn't asking questions, I know how Jessie can be.
She pulls me into a hug, I wrap my hand around her and sigh. "Keep in touch, Camille," She whispers and this time it's like she is ordering me. Weird.

"I almost didn't see you, Cams," Nate says, his voice brought me back.
I roll my eyes at. "Can I help you with something, Nats?"
Am surprised he is talking to me. The game finished ten minutes ago, and some guys are already in the bus, no one looked my way, I thought I was the center of attention before, but now am invisible, something am not good at.
After telling Jessica that am okay, I entered the bus and sit on the last sit, I don't even want to talk to anyone.
He shrugs and sits beside me, he smells like sweat. "Your friend is hot," He says as he pushes his wet curls back.
I smile. "I know," I answer. And I also know he has the hots for her.
He leans closer to me. "Look! You lost control, don't worry about it, Dr Wallace won't even punish you, at least no one died," I know what he's doing, he is trying to make me feel better, but I am not feeling it.
"They would have, if he didn't stop me," I whisper and cover my eyes with my hand.
"At least they won't remember what happened," He assures me.
Them not remembering is not the point.
I sigh and remove my hand from the back of my head and bury my head in my hand. "But you guys remember, and now am the freak am afraid of becoming," I can't even recognize my own voice.
"On the bright side, you were a total badass, I have never seen that happened with anyone. But are you okay? It seems like you weren't you, I mean your hair changed color and your eyes, they were glowing, you were glowing," He tells me.
I don't even know what to think or say anymore.
★†★
"Detention, why? I lost control, you saw," I am having a hard time keeping my anger at Bay. Nate said I won't be punished but this is the exact opposite. A detention?
"You were in control, you admitted it," Roman says. Am not sure what relationship Roman and Dean share but I hate Roman hanging around me.
I was not deaf to everything they were saying on the bus, apparently am not too cool for WestHigh and too much of a freak for The Vale.

I hate the way Dean is sitting comfortably on his sit. And stupid Roman pacing around the room like he owns it.
I turn and glare at him. "Shut the fuck up Roman," I say the grit teeth.
He stops pacing and drops his hand. "Really? Why don't you go shove it down your demon ass," He snaps back.
I let out a fake laugh. "Oh fantasizing about my ass already," I mock as I place my hand on my hip.
He rolls his eyes. "You bloody wish."
I blink my eyes and shake my head. This is not point in prolonging this issue. "This is the part where you tell us to keep quiet," I tilt my head to Dean's direction, he is looking at us like we are some sort show for his amusement.
"Right, I was waiting for you to stop talking on your own terms," He says.
He raises his hand from the desk and sigh. "You are still serving the detention with Roman and Penelope," He reminds me.
I roll my eyes. No point trying to drag the matter. "What are they in for?" I ask curiously, I might as well know since I'll be the one stuck with them.
"None of your business," Roman mutters besides me.
"I wasn't talking to you, Roman," I say without turning to him. "Dean can you tell him that."
Dean sighs and shakes his head. "Get out of my office both of you."
I don't have to be told twice.
★†★
I need to know what I have been seeing. I noticed that the Raven symbols only appears whenever I use magic, I need to know why.
After Dean dismissed me, I went straight to my room to freshen up and came to the library to do some reading and research about my new found powers.
I still have some bone to pick with Dean, he said he wasn't a witch but he managed to bring me back from my power state, even Roman was unable to make me snap out of it. Why do I feel like Dean is keeping something from me.
The library is silent, it's weird the whole is quiet. I know everyone is tired from the game and the heavy magic they did for me. At least it wasn't dark magic, Dean told me dark magic is the first rule to be followed in The Vale, no Dark Magic or dark objects allowed. What are Dark Objects anyway?
"So.... What am I looking for?" I ask no one in particular. It would have been easier if I knew what am looking.
Okay, let me break it down. I need a spell book or books of spells and symbols. I need Dean's Hexcraft, and Dean is not exactly in a festive mood.
I walk around the library and see if I can find anything. "Starting from...." I look around the book shelves nothing says magic except that one. "Here."
The shelf is at the extreme end of the Library, and something about the arrangement of book is weird, it's like a lock or something.
"Going somewhere Missy," A voice says behind, startling me. I didn't know anyone was around.
I turn around nervously to see Mr Groff, all changed from the school's jersey to a plain shirt and pants. I don't know why am nervous, am not doing anything wrong.
"Hey! Mr Groff. How are you doing today?" I ask cheerfully, trying to brighten the sour mood, everyone has been a little on edge since my power breakout.
He places his hands in his pockets and smiles. "Am doing great, thank you, Camille. What are you doing at the restricted area?" He asks curiously.
I look around. I don't see any yellow tags or a do not cross sign on the shelf. I knew something was up with this particular shelf.
"I didn't know it was restricted. Why is it restricted?" I ask curiously. No one said anything about it being restricted, only I want to know what is inside the books.
He sighs as he gaze upon the books. "This section is filled with romance novels," He answers.
My mouth drops open at the revelation. Romance novels? I did not know The Vale is into kinky stuff.
"And it's restricted because?" I don't really see the use of the restrictions, it's just Romance right?
"Book like this is not for kid under eighteen," He informs me like I don't know, I have never followed a single rule in my life especially if they have age restrictions.
"Then why do you have them in a school full of kids?" I ask. Almost all the students in The Vale are under eighteen, why place a romantic book in a library full of kids?
I can tell Mr Groff isn't telling the truth, I can recognize a liar when I see one, I lie all the time, and I know a very skilled liar maintain eye contact in order not to get caught.
Something is wrong here, and I will figure it out.
"I have never actually really thought about that. Thank you Camille Stark, off you go," He shoos me away.
He is trying to get rid of me quickly. He isn't settled, I can tell from the way he keeps tapping the floor with his feet impatiently.
What I don't understand is why everyone is keeping secrets.
"Do you ever sleep? I mean you guys just had a big game, aren't you tired?" I ask, not because am curious, I need a reason to continue this awful conversation.
He shrugs. "No, not at all, I saw what happened at the game, wanna talk about it?"
I shake my head. "Nope." I don't have time for pep talk, all I need to know is everything else.
"Goodbye, Camille Stark."
I hum and nod my head. "Goodbye, Mr Groff. And it's Cami."
★†★
Mr Groff won't help me. So, I decided to go see Miss Mulligan, the school counselor. Rumor has it that the woman is very powerful and knowledgeable, she knows everything.
I sit in front of her on a grey couch in her little office. Her office isn't like other counselor's office, it's more like a therapist office. There is a desk and a chair at the end of the room, a book shelf beside the wall and that's it, no decorations or fancy stuff on her table except the frost glass that says her name 'M. Mulligan'
"What can I do for you, Camille?" She asks in a cool and firm tone, am glad she's not asking about my outbreak.
I shrug. "Nothing much, and it's Cami," I correct her, I don't understand why people can't just call me Cami.
She chuckles but it didn't reach her eyes. "Cami, what can I do for you?" She tries again.
"I have been seeing some signs," I explain. "I don't know maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me."
"What kind of sign?" She asks curiously as she leans forward.
I show her my palm, she raises her eyebrows in question. "I see a burning bird on my palm, and I noticed that they only appear whenever I use magic," I explain to her. I need someone to tell me what it means.
I notice her tense as I await her answer. I look at my palm and then at her, I wave my hand to get her attention, she seems to be lost in thought.
"Miss Mulligan, what is it?" The sign means something for her to be behaving like this.
She snaps out of her thought and swallows. "Nothing, it's nothing," She shakes her head. "I have never seen it before, you probably saw it in a movie, I am not familiar with it," She lies.
I don't know what gave her away but I know she is lying to me. They are all lying
I nod and get up from the couch. "Okay, thanks."
Nobody is willing to help me, I guess am just going to have to figure it out on my own. Why do I feel like something bad is going to happen?
