Jungkook looks at the person who has her whole focus on the white banner. She's not even looking anywhere except the banner in front of her. As if she's in her own world.
He doesn't know why he takes notice of how thin her body...she should eat more. Then he realizes he has never seen her eating in the cafeteria.
The students in the hall starting to leave for a break, everyone was walking in their own group... chit-chatting as they making their way to the exit. Jungkook glances at the same person.
She still there. Park Chaeyoung.
No one comes to her and invites her to eat together.
Thinking back, he never saw her with anyone except her few so-called privileged students.
"Jungkook, let's having lunch together..." Sana with another few students came at him.
"Hm...it's okay. I'll go with Taehyung," He said politely.
Sana smiles widely, "Okay, see you at the cafeteria."
Jungkook sits on the chair as he waits for his friend. He slides on his phone to kill some time. Unconsciously he opened his IG and saw a new post from Chaeyoung. He had followed her IG using his other account. The account that he used to only post his photography and no one knew it's his account except his closed friends.
She posted a picture of her sketch on the banner. His eyes automatically glance back to her, still working.
He wanted to leave a comment on her post but stop when he gets an incoming call from Taehyung. The older already waiting outside of the hall.
Jungkook walks off leaving the hall but before he reaches the exit, he turns back and saw Chaeyoung still on her knees, painting the banner on the floor.
Taehyung was talking non stop about that one girl who rejected his confession. But Jungkoook didn't pay attention to it as he's busy choosing what he should eat. He's hungry, drawing and painting took a lot of his energy. Thinking about that made his mind drift back to the person who might still be working in the hall.

She must feel hungry too.
He takes a box of sushi rolls and a cup of ice shake...
"Sushi? I thought we want to eat hamburger..." Taehyung looks at Jungkook with a weird face.
"Not for me..."
"Then for who?"
Jungkook didn't reply.
After choosing another food and paid everything, he asked Taehyung to choose a table and excuse himself for a while.
The older didn't get to say anything because Jungkook was quickly leaving the cafeteria with a cup of ice shake and a box of sushi rolls in his hands.
But less than 10 minutes he came back and continue eating with Taehyung.
Eating with his friends normally will take more than 1 hour..especially when Kim Seokjin and Jung Hoseok join their table. It will be hard to resist hearing campus gossip from them both.
As Jungkook hearing Seokjin talking about the lecturer, his eyes caught a familiar figure walking into the cafeteria. He wonders if she noticed the food he left beside her bag. He saw her takes quite a lot of buns and snacks.
Maybe the food he gave was not enough.
She turns her head and their eyes met.
Jungkook's heart stops beating for a second.
She turns to the other side looking everywhere. She's avoiding eye contact. Of course, there's no way she would look at him after what he did to her in the past.
He sighs when he saw her leave the cafeteria. He takes out his phone, and leave a comment on her recent post.
nice sketch, you work hard.
And again, his heart stops beating for a second when he gets a reply from her.
He wonders what will be her reaction if she knew it's him.
Jungkook never felt this way...
He had experienced the feeling when his heart stops beating for a second, it's not that bad...it kind of nice.
But he never expects to feel like shit when he saw Chaeyoung didn't touch the foods he placed beside her bag. The foods stay that way...untouched, the ice crush melted.
And the extra foods she bought was actually to share with Namjoon.
So this is the feeling when your good intention get ignored.

Mistbound: Eternity
The world is said to be formed out of duality of man. Good and evil, right and wrong, light and dark. And with duality, comes conflict. A meaningless clash of ideals results in pointless wars. Azlan is wanderer who doesn't falls in either category. Tired and done with the redundant world, he lives his secluded life, hunting monstrosites for coin in the crumbling province of Mountaliya, situated in the land of Forsa. The premise follows Azlan as he explores the province, experiencing the culture and its people as they try to stand unshaken amidst a cold and unforgiving world. The story is a dark fantasy that is a balance of action and world building but most importantly, it follows the people going about their daily lives. The world has entered a state of stasis, there are no high stakes, no glory to be had, only a decaying realm of ice remains. Everyone awaits for Heaven's descent, an event prophesied to bring the world out of stasis, by granting the champion of the event a wish. Heaven Shall Descend. I wanted to write a high fantasy story that doesn't focuses too much on Magic and Swordfights, but rather interactions between people, a bit of politics and ideals. This is my first attempt at writing something this huge, please let me know if you see mistakes or any problems in general, so I can learn from them. (The cover picture is from the year 1818, "Wanderer Above the Mist" by Caspar David Friedrich). I also write Short stories set in the same shared universe. You can read them here: Dark Fantasy Short Stories.

"Looking at the sunset behind me, I realize something. There is a long red trail following me. Sitting on the surface of the ocean, following the small waves and darkened by the twilight sky. "That's my blood, that is a lot of my blood," I say aloud. As if I didn't have enough to worry about already. Now I need to make sure I don't die from blood loss. I need something to stop the bleeding. With nothing better to use, I rip off my sleeve and use it as a bandage. It will help a little but without anything to disinfect the area, I'm at risk of it turning really ugly. I will just have to work with what I have for now. Shore can't be that far away. The island of Kheran is fairly close to the mainland. I've already been out here a while, drifting in the right direction. I estimate to be out of here by the end of the night. That is, if I don't freeze to death. With the water being as cold as it is, I need to keep kicking and paddling to get my heart rate up." In this thrilling, first-person narrative, a defected soldier finds himself adrift in a dire, life-or-death situation. With missing memories and few guesses as to how he got here, his lif quickly becomes a game of survival. Follow his journey through this exhilarating heart-pounder, with fluidly woven descriptions and page-turning surprises. With room for the imagination to bound with unpredictable twists and turns, this realistic science fantasy novel will have pages turning until the end. Patreon page: The Bringer

People have always thought that the undead would come from hell - that they would rise from their graves to bring their torments upon the earth. They never thought that they would come from the heavens instead and rain upon the world like divine judgment. Ten years had passed since that day. Evan had thought that he had seen all there is to see. What remained of civilized society couldn't recover. Millions of zombies wandered in every city, and thousands more roam the countryside. Every day was a struggle to survive just as it had always been. He, as well as most of the survivors that remained on earth, had resigned themselves to a life of wandering until their deaths. Their last hope was news of an underground settlement being constructed to the far west, outside the eyes of the wandering and falling undead. But then they encounter a girl who had survived in the middle of a heavily-infested city. She claims that she knows of a way to end the apocalypse once and for all. What should he and his group do?

You always were something else, weren't you? Those eyes, too brown for your own good, and that old jacket that you loved to death - falling apart, but you didn't care.Looking at it now, I suppose it was inevitable. That it would always end up like this - you, in a hospital bed, and me, on the outside.Note: This is a work that has previously been posted on AO3, so if you follow me over there, it might look familiar!
