"Hawkmoth

Hawkmoth

Hawkmoth"

The way the name was spat with nothing but utter venom like the way it should be.

Her tone was alike to someone who was teasing him but at the same time it was daunting and mocking him and his emotions were in a flurry making him somewhat perplexed for once in his life, being the person he is and his reputation it meant that he was in control of many things including his feelings but they slipped from his grasp and now, he was suffering the consequences from his arch nemesis Ladybug first hand.

He wasn't going to believe that he was going to believe he was about to lose this battle when for him, it had just started despite the fact that he was injured all over and overly fatigued, he hated to admit it but however old the teenager under the red and black spotted mask definitely packed a punch but giving her the benefit of the doubt due to what he's done over the years since he first started using his miraculous, she's been suiting better than he thought she would and he wouldn't lie but he was slightly impressed and annoyed at the fact that he couldn't get that from his own son who seemed by appearance, around the same age as the young heroine.

He knew he was done for and if he wasn't a grown ass man with a dead wife who he didn't even know was dead, a falling fashion empire that he also didn't know was failing all around the world and if he didn't have a seventeen year old son at home who he always had different feelings about because of how he acted.

His time of terror had come to an end and he had no choice but to surrender.

But he wasn't going to without a fight.

He raised his eyebrows but it wasn't like people could see them because of his oddly shaped mask that concealed his identity.

However, one thing he didn't know was that the opponents he was fighting against already knew who the man behind the mask was but they didn't need to tell him that- that would ruin the plan.

That would ruin both of their plans

She knocked him off his feet first before pulling him into a headlock, hearing him struggle with his breathing brought the slightest smile onto her bloody lips but she knew not to get distracted like that unless she was one hundred percent assured victory.

She wanted that assurance and was given plenty but she wasn't about to get her hopes up for something that she was still fighting.

Because getting your hopes up and it all ends up going to waste, you feel useless and annoyed because you let yourself get so worked up and excited for it to all fade away into nothingness.

She took a quick glance to her left to find any form of movement and her arms were suddenly pushed away from around the old mans neck but she wasn't surprised, no not at all she was actually expecting the rash movement resulting in her rolling onto her feet not a single flinch from the many injuries scattered all over her.

This was going to end today and she was sure about that- that was something she didn't need assurance on because what happened next was a complete game changer, something that the purple man gasping for breath as he gripped his neck was not expecting at all. It was so sudden and surprising that he froze in his position.

His entire world came crashing down at once and for once, he wasn't sure what he would do. But then it struck him, he still hadn't put his plan into action. He still had his chance at winning!

Then the world came tumbling down again when he caught a glimpse of the tied up woman with her hands behind her back, her frazzled dark hair and red fringe making her visible and more apparent from a mile away. His heart sank when he realised what that exactly meant and he gave up hope.

The peacock had been captured and the butterfly had been tapped in its hunters net.

He pushed himself from his laying position on the concrete and onto his knees, raising his hands in surrender alike to how the police would ask you during an arrest yet here, he was doing it willingly without being ordered to do so. He felt like a complete and utter fool.

God help him

Little did the purple and grey clad villain know that God wasn't here to assist and come to his aid today.

It-

Yeah

The two words perfectly rolled off her tongue with no force or script, she didn't need to put in unnecessary effort into something she had performed so flawlessly over the years.

The sensation was nothing but blissful and nostalgic, she'd surely miss it but she'd never let herself forget it, it would both feel like and be a crime if she did so

She had achieved her goal but at what cost was it achieved at?

It was achieved at the cost of her

In the end, it all truly was worth it and she wouldn't've had it any other way because she couldn't see her life or even herself in another light.

She had her run and she had all the fun

She fulfilled her duties and it was finally time to hang up her coat and turn in her keys.

She had relished in it all and she loved every moment of it, despite the ups and downs that filled her endless days, she was glad that it was this world she was apart of because this world was now hers; it was always hers though, she just never knew it.

Thank you, from her to you. Thank you all very so much.

Her rollercoaster had gone through its final loop and the tracks have actually come to a stop she never saw coming, it was the end of something no one saw coming and would it be weird for her to say that she kinda wants to cry because of it.

And so she did. The sweetest tear gently travelled down her porcelain cheeks and she laughed to herself at the liquid leaking from her eyes, pretty ironic wasn't it.

It was the end of an era but that didn't mean it was the end of her.

She totally ignored her dying body and relished in her victory, she ignored the fact that she had no more lucky charm and that her ladybugs were already flying around Paris fixing every nook and cranny that had been somewhat damaged during the battle.

All at once, the river of ladybugs came zooming in her direction and she payed no mind, flinching not a single bit and welcomed the magical bugs she had grown to love over the years.

They swirled around her, her body enveloped in light and the magical cure before they sprouted up in the air and exploded like a firework putting a smile on all the peoples faces who were present.

Yeah, she'd miss this but it didn't mean that she was going to stop what she did best, she'd feel useless if she sat around mindlessly doing absolutely nothing.

Yes, this was it and the reign of terror Gabriel Agreste had over the city of love had finally come to an end relieving everyone of their fears.

It truly was a time to celebrate and that is what they'd do.

Celebrate till the world needed them next because when they called, they would come to the rescue no matter how cliché it sounded.

Hawkmoth had come to an end and it was certainly something for the books, it would remain apart of Parisian history till the end and would never be forgotten no matter how hard one tried to erase it because they will always come out unsuccessful and as an utter fail.

There's a league of heroes that needed to be thanked for.

Our story started with a girl called Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a normal girl with a normal life but there was something that no one knew yet because she had a secret.

Marinette had a miraculous but Marinette was also a normal near thirteen year old girl who just wanted to fulfil her teenage dreams with no obstruction.

Ladybug was her persona and a total different person to the one she was concealing from the public eye. In both her forms she had the cameras pointing directly at her but that was nothing new to her, the flashing lights were something she had grown accustomed to.

Martha was the name of a very special woman, a woman who died too young that she didn't get to meet her many grandkids whether biological or not. It was also Marinette's middle name that she would never question as to why it was even given to her.

Wayne was a well known name all around the world and it was the name Marinette inherited. The name she never asked for yet she cherished to no end.

'Who am I?!' Was always a question swirling around like a wild bird in her mind, she had been given many names over the years and she was never given a solid answer no matter what people stated.

The bluenette was happy to say she had gotten the answer to her year long question.

A daughter

A sister

A friend

Ladybug

Great Guardian

Guardian of the Zodiac box

Marinette Martha Wayne

That's who she was.
