getting home from school i looked through the window and saw my dad wasn't in a good mood so i climbed the fire escape and got to my window climbing in. I decided to get my homework done and over with. after finishing my homework i see pucky still asleep while Goldie is watching TV

I sigh not knowing what to do so i decide to mix some chemicals to see if I can get a certain color

I carefully pour different chemicals together so it doesn't explode and to turn it into a purple color. pouring in the last chemical it turns purple without exploding, causing me to smile

hearing a tap at the window i notice it was Donnie, then realizing it was already night time. i open the window to let him in

"what did they say?" i ask as i put the chemicals away

"sensei doesn't mind if your pets stay where i live as long as my brothers and i are responsible, also its fine if you bring them over and you can see where we live" Donnie says smiling showing has gap in his teeth

"awesome, mind if i stay the night, its a Friday and i dont think my dad will care about me staying over" i put stuff in a bag just in case

"sure, ill call Leo and have him ask sensei while you ask your dad" he pulls out his phone and calls Leo as I walk into the living room careful they dont see Donnie

"hey dad, is it fine if I stay at a friend's house?" I was nervous

"when did you get home? and fine whatever sure" my dad was playing a game

"thanks and I got home awhile ago" I went back to my room and saw Donnie talking with pucky

"what did he say?" I asked closing my door

"sensei didnt mind, what about your dad?" he grabbed my bag, not giving in to me carrying it

"he said, and I quote 'fine whatever sure'" I picked up pucky and Goldie, pucky still had his hat on with his goggles on it

"wow he doesnt seem to pay attention much huh" Donnie hopped over the window onto the fire escape holding my bag

"nope not really" i hop over the window as well after grabbing my phone and charger with my pets behind me and Donnie

we climbed down to a manhole cover and he opened it dropping my bag down below

"you live down there?" pucky was confused

"its either this or be researched in a lab" he climbs down a bit helping the pets down first

"fair point" I shrug I sit down holding the cover up then slide down the cover falling after I go down the ladder and Donnie catches me making me blush a bit

"thanks" he sets me down blushing

"n-no problem"

we walk down the tunnel in the sewers, Goldie was behind Donnie and pucky was on my head looking around

"welcome to where I live" Donnie said as we got to the end, showing a little living room, a dojo, a big door, a punching dummy, a TV with lots of movies and games, and a kitchen

"this is amazing!" I looked around in awe at everything here

i saw Leo and comet watching a show on the TV, Mikey was eating pizza while watching something going on, i then saw Raph trying to calm down red who was yelling at a girl, but notice it was April?!

"you stay away from master! your just a bully wanting attention!" red was mad and i knew why. Goldie told red and comet what happened when we went to the store. but April acted like she did nothing wrong

"whats going on here?" Donnie came up trying to solve what was going on, i just followed with Pucky and Goldie behind me, they held in their anger at April to not cause more drama

"this girl acts like my master is trash!" red yelled at April but saying this to Donnie to answer his question

"red stop, what happened, happened. we can't change that"

"what is she doing here?" April glared at me as I picked up red and handed him to Raph, telling him to try and get him some food to calm him down. Raph just nodded and walked to get him food while red was still angry

"she's here because her pets are staying here and shes spinning the night, why?" Leo asked looking up from his show

"she's the girl I was talking about guys! shes just going to act like shes better" April crossed her arms making it seem like i'm the bad guy. I sigh not wanting to deal with this

"Mikey I brought Goldie" goldie jumped into Mikey's arms as he just gives goldie attention. I was glad goldie and Mikey were happy

"thanks (y/n)! Goldie lets go eat pizza!" Mikey excitedly runs to the kitchen, Goldie had a happy face while in Mikey's arms. Goldie nodded happily

"im talking to you!" April yelled at me but I ignored her again

"hey Donnie?" I looked at him

"y-yes (y/n)?" he was nervous and I get why

"where is your lab?" I ask, he then points to where it is and I just say a thanks to him

"why do you need to know where his lab is?" April acted like I was suspicious

"because pucky wants to see his lab" I say matter of factly

"yeah, I want to see what Donnie has invented!" pucky couldnt contain his excitement and spoke in front of April causing her eyes to go wide

"d-did he just t-talk"

"yeah? is that bad? I thought you'd be used to it since red spoke to you and because we are seriously around four turtles that are standing like people and are talking"

Leo chuckles at what i said because of whats happened in NYC so far

"y-your pets aren't normal!"

"they were born this way, i never referred to my pets as not normal. i refer to them as special"

pucky and comet smile at what i said, they know i think of them as special, since most people would have been scared of talking animal's

April didnt say anything else just stomped out of the lair mad at how i countered her calling my pets not normal

"were you telling the truth about your pets?" Donnie asks me

"of course i was. they are special, and you and your family are special too. even if you guys don't look like other people, doesn't mean you guys don't have feelings and aren't special. your all special in your own way"

Donnie blushed at what I said but I didn't notice. comet and Leo were laughing but I didn't understand why. in the end me and pucky looked around Donnie's lair and we were in awe, pucky was looking at all his inventions with excitement and I just couldn't find the words to say how cool it was. I could tell Donnie was happy to have someone like what he likes as well

me, Donnie, and pucky ended up talking about inventions and science stuff for the rest of the night
