Here we go!

"Damien and (Y/n) have known each-other for years, since we were kids even." Ben begins, looking down at the rosie wooden table and tracing one of his rough index fingers along the edge. "Damien eventually took her in when one day she came to our friend group with the news that she had no home, seemingly out of nowhere, it's kind of weird. Literally, one day she's happy with her father at home, next thing you know she's all alone."

Leo patiently listens opposite Benjamin as the sun glares in the small apartment through a window to the left. "It was all through good intention... we were kids, and Damien had a wealthy upbringing, so naturally he was in the best position to help. (Y/n) was actually really grateful."

Leo squints and fiddles with the zipper to his jacket. "They sounded like they were close, what happened?"

Benjamin sighs. "Once our friend group split up and we all grew older, Damien inherited lots of cash, and with that he became abusive of his privilege. All the while, (Y/n) grew up to be a stunning young woman and Damien made up his mind on what he wanted next.." Ben takes a shaky breath before continuing. "Damien did whatever he could to win over (Y/n): practically throwing cash at her, but no matter what he couldn't seem to get her to give in. She didn't like him like that and that made him furious. He had always gotten what he wanted, so someone telling him 'no' made him become obsessive and controlling. It was so bad, she hardly had the ability to leave her own room."

There's a long pause, and Leo could see the tremble in Benjamin's hands. "Damien became spiteful and power-hungry, taking on shady practices and crime to release his frustration, until Damien became a known criminal in many places. Yet, he has everything he wants, almost. But if I'm being frank: with all he's done, it won't surprise me when his karma catches up."

"And (Y/n)?" Leo inquires, pushing for more.

Ben glances up at him with woeful eyes. "She reluctantly followed him. He'd worn her down so much through the years, that he successfully got her to give in." Ben closes his eyes as he begins to tell about the meat of it all. "At first everything honestly seemed like it was going alright, and Damien was showing her affection which made (Y/n) warm up to him and trust him...or so I've been told..." The brunette trails off.

"But?" Leo asks.

"Less than a year into their relationship, Damien couldn't help himself and refused to respect her, and unsurprisingly he betrayed her by fooling around with other girls until she found out. Of course (Y/n) dropped his ass after that, and she stole a huge chunk of cash from him then ran away."

Leo nods, silently affirming the validity of the story, based on what you'd confessed in the past. Yet, he still found himself surprised with all the new details Ben was spitting out.

"Damien... didn't take it well. He's been stalking her for months, because in his mind he owns her."

Silence fills the room for a long moment.

Leo looks down in thought for a long moment, then looks back up with a sickened expression. "Do you think he actually loves-" Leo gets cut off as Ben finishes his thought. "Actually loves her? No, no I don't. I know for a fact that he sees her as another object to own. His obsessive 'love' can hardly be called love at all." There was an angry bite to Bens words as he thinks about his estranged 'boss.'

Before Donnie took you to his planned destination, he stopped by his residence to grab a handful of cash along with a set of brass knuckles (you'd rather not ask why).

Despite the protection his presence guaranteed, you couldn't help but feel nervous. However, Donnie didn't seem to notice your anxious demeanor as the two of you made your way into the city. The crowds twisting and weaving around you made you lose track of Donnie several times, so he took the liberty of guiding you with a hand on your hip.

A smile crosses your face as you feel him flex his arm in a likely attempt to impress you.

Your eyes track the dirty sidewalk as you and Donnie walk in-sync, it was kind of sickening the amount of flattened-dried gum that painted the concrete, not to mention the litter and old food. Hopefully, wherever you were going didn't have this particular New York 'charm' you weren't too fond of. That gets you thinking about where you were off to. What exactly are you going to be doing?

Eventually, you decide to speak up, finding the uncertain silence unbearable. "Where are we going?" You say with a nervous chuckle as Donnie happily walks with you through the bustling streets.

"Somewhere super fun!" He says with a proud boom in his tone.

You gasp with excitement as the building he was guiding you to grew clearer. "Laser tag!?"

Donnie smiles brightly and shrugs lightly. "It's a start."

Honestly, you were very excited, you almost wanted to smack his arm for acting so nonchalant. Whatever he had planned for today had to be special if this was 'a start'. Heck, most couples would stop at laser tag and just call it a day.

Your face reddens a bit as you realize you'd reference the two of you as a couple. Surely Donnie wasn't thinking the way you were, perhaps it's time to take a deep breath and relax your nerves again.

As you were lost in thought, Donnie couldn't help but take your hand and give it a small swing back-and-forth in a playful manner. His sweet action pulls you from your thoughts and the heat in your face dissipates. A flattered grin spreads across your lips as you look up at him in return. "I can't wait to see what else you have in mind for today."

Donnie winks down at you and leans down towards you once again; aiming for your lips. You close your eyes with ease and you grant him a quick peck.

When he pulls away, you laugh softly and squint up at him. "Uh, what's so funny?" his face contorts with confusion as he questions your slight amusement. "You've just been eating up smooches lately." Your soft laughter persists as you lightly tease him.

Donnie blushes as his face stiffens. He looks down at the ground with furrowed brows, feeling slightly ashamed of his heart growing softer each moment around you. "Sorry, is it too much? I'll stop doing it so much, kisses aren't a necessity for functioning anyways." He peaks up at you, seeming to be a bit nervous about what you'd say. The amused laughter from you fades as you begin to smile at him with sincere affection. "Hey, woah-woah-woah, I never said it's too much. I actually really like it when you kiss me, if anything you should put a bit more passion into it." You flash the soft-shell a coy smile as you turn and begin pulling him into the building.

As Donnie was pulled along behind you, he was caught in scandalized-awe as his face slowly became redder and redder. Surely you didn't mean it like... that, Donnie swallows hard as he stares ahead, trying not to think too much about it.

---------

In the distance a tuft of brown hair brushed against the hood of a vehicle as a bitter young man steps out, catching sight of the turtle and his estranged love in the distance.

"So, she really is here with one of them." A gruff curse brushes past the young man's lips as he turns to his driver. "I'll only be a minute, while you're waiting, go get him for me. He should be at home as always on days like this."

And as the older male in the driver seat gives a huff in response, the door closes, and a pair of well-kept shoes walk along the pavement towards the large building full of teens and families looking for a fun experience.

For the first time in a while, the young man's mouth curls up into a smile. Oh, how he was going to savor driving a spike through that soft-shell turtle's heart.

---------

As Donnie runs through the twisting maze scattered with neon lights and wild 80-styles carpet, he runs into someone- someone without a vest or blaster.

It takes him a moment to regain his composure after a small trip from the sudden interruption mid-run, but when he does, he quickly looks up and musters an apologetic grin. "Oh, hey, sincerest apologies- I didn't see.... You..." Donnie slowly trails off and his overzealous tone fades whilst his eyes widen.

"Having fun?" The voice was calm and casual, but laced with something, malice perhaps? Donnie's eyes widen with shock and anger as his expression shifts from apologetic and friendly, to furious. "If it isn't the pretty little rich-boy." Donnie coldly remarks as he grips tightly at the handle for his blaster. Damien stood before Donnie, wearing a dark-red "brand" t-shirt and some black pants, making him blend in with the shadowed environment.

"Playground insults aside, turtle, I'm not here to play some sort of petty game with you."

"Then what are you here for?" Donnie says stepping up to Damien, puffing his chest and emphasizing his extra height he had compared to the brunette. Damien felt a bitter pang in his chest as he glared up at the soft-shell, oh how he longed to get back at this purple-wearing monster.

This soft-shell turtle was one of the four responsible for manipulating you and keeping you far away from Damien after all, but now was not the time or place.

"I know you're here with her, I just wanted to discuss something."

"Funny coming from someone as insane as you."

Damien points a finger in Donnie's face and gives him a threatening sneer. "Listen, you abomination- and listen good- I'm here to tell you one thing and one thing only. Maybe if you listen, I'll spare you some anguish down the road."

Donnie's teeth clenched tightly; this snob was really working a nerve. Donnie almost wanted to grab him by the face and toss him out a window, just for being so unapologetically arrogant. With crossed brows and a stiff frown, Donnie was about to open his mouth to speak, but he heard something that grabbed his attention. In the distance the sound of conversation began to bleed through the 80's nostalgia soundtrack, and somewhere in the mix was your beautiful voice, full of excitement and a carefree sentiment. Donnie couldn't let you see Damien, it would surely startle you and ruin this whole day, not to mention what Damien might do if he has the chance.

As the sound of footsteps drew near, Donnie panicked, somehow he had to get away from the entire opposing team without Damien nor himself being seen. In a moment of acknowledging the disadvantageous effects of what'll happen if he doesn't move, Donnie grabs Damien by the back of the expensive shirt he wore and drags him along.

"Hey, watch it! This is my favorite casual-shirt!" The brunette spurts as he hurriedly tries to maintain his footing as Donnie yanks him around the twisting maze. "You may need to work on redefining your idea of 'casual.'" Donnie flatly states.

The dark carpets and walls mixed with the bright neon lights, made the area more stressful to traverse, or more specifically: to find an adequate place to hide. The sound of laughing teens echoed throughout and with every noise, Donnie blew air through his clenched teeth from frustration. It was like he was going in circles. He began to lose hope in finding a hiding spot, and debated on just ducking in a corner and hoping you didn't notice. However, something glinted in the darkness, catching Donnie's eye. A metal sign hanging above a door managed to reflect some light at just the right time. Donnie does a double-take and squints to read the text on the small label; ""

Donnie's eyes light up and he feels the anxiety fade away.

The lucky sight of the closet causes Donnie to make a b-line in its direction. At this point, Damien had given up in trying to keep up and had gone slack as Donnie approached the closet. Damien huffs as the heels of his shoes drag along the floor.

If Damien was being honest, he was surprised at how strong Donnie really was; with no more than one hand, the soft-shell mutant was able to hold him up by the shirt and carry him for a good length of time.

Donnie finally let's go of Damien's shirt, causing the stuck-up young man to fall backwards onto his rear with a grunt. "You're really giving me a run for my patience-" Damien is cut off as Donnie opens the door to the small room and grabs the irritated brunette's arm.

"Good. This'll build your tolerance." Donnie sasses, to which Damien rolls his eyes as he shakes Donnies hand off once the soft-shell pushes him to the wall.

"We should be safe to talk here..." Donnie begins as he closes the door. "...so, what could you possibly want?"

Damien growls as he searches for a lightswitch in the darkness, having only Donnies neon-lit vest and laser-blaster giving a small illumination to the room. After bumping his elbow one-too-many times, his scarred hand finally finds a switch and he immediately flips it.

Donnie stares blankly with dwindling patience as the light above slowly flickers and buzzes, until it finally comes to a stable luminance. "Jeez, this place needs to have better standards for appliances." Damien quietly says, with what seemed to be a look of slight-disgust for the old light-fixture above as well as the dilapidated light-switch. "Seriously, this must be a safety hazard."

As much as Donnie disliked Damien, he had to silently agree with him. Although, the soft-shell did feel a shameless disappointment that Damien hadn't been consequently electrocuted. Donnie cracks a small grin at the thought, despite the cruel and twisted nature of it.

Damien wipes his hand off on his pant leg and gives Donnie a stern look. "Ok, listen, because I won't repeat myself." Donnie's face returns to an apathetic state as he focuses entirely on Damien. Despite Donnie's cold exterior, Damien made it clear that he wasn't intimidated easily. "I know you must want to ring me by the neck and teach me some sort of hypothetical 'lesson'- if you can even call it that- similar to that overly-confident brother of yours." Damien stares into Donnie's eyes and his brows cross as he analyzes the soft-shells expression; so blank but so angry.

"Are you offering me the chance?" Donnie instantly responds, a threat clearly present as he steps closer. Yet, Damien stands his ground. "I already expected as much from something like you."

Donnie jolts a little at the statement, something about the way Damien said it, stung. Damien sees the miniscule change in Donnie's expression and seems satisfied with his disposition. "It's no wonder she'll do anything with you four turtles, she must be so scared. What small lady wouldn't fear four mutant bruits?"

Donnie looks to the side for a moment, trying not to think about if Damien may be right.

"That's why I'm here talking to you."

Donnie snaps to attention as he stares intently at the brunette who's lips curled in the slightest smirk. "Get to the point." Donnie demands, still not trusting this brat in the slightest.

Damien grins fully as he shoves his hands in his pockets. "Hopefully, you're clever enough to understand." He mutters.

Damien pulls out a small slip of paper and holds it out for Donnie to take. Reluctantly, the soft-shell takes the folded paper and unravels it. Inside was a cell-number written in purple ink.

"What is this?"

"I'll get there."

Donnie sighs and refolds the note, tucking it away the pocket of his pants. Damien pinches the bridge of his nose as he hesitantly leans against the deteriorated wall. "You are close to (Y/n), yes?"

Donnie clears his throat, trying not to let the nervous rush he felt show. "Yeah, a little. What about it?"

Damien scoffs. "No need to lie, I've seen things that suggest you two are more than just 'a little' close." Damien felt anger and disgust at the thought of you cuddling, kissing, and holding hands with anyone other than himself. However, Damien swallows his anger quickly.

"I'm sure you have, but no matter how you see it, I love her." Donnie boasts, no shame or hesitation in his voice.

Damien can't help but chortle. "That's hilarious, don't be so ridiculous." Damien shakes his head with a smile. "An abomination like you can't feel love, and don't even get me started on anyone loving you, something like that is impossible."

Donnie's hand begins to shake with fury as he grabs at his laser-blazer so hard that the plastic strains under the pressure. Damien gives Donnie a condescending look as he stands straighter. "If she ever shows you anything resembling love, it's because she's afraid of you."

Donnie's heart sinks slightly. No... there's no way you're scared of him, right?

"She must feel so helpless when she's with you, you're practically taking advantage of her fear with every touch. Just look at you; bigger and stronger than her in so many ways, she'd be a fool to run."

Donnie can hear his own heart pounding as his body shakes, he was feeling so angry, and Damien wouldn't stop. "She must dread even hearing your voice." Donnie grunts in anger as he grabs Damien by the collar as his emotions show their face, the comments had gone far enough. "Enough. Just tell me what you're here for."

Damien's smile is gone as he grips at Donnie's wrist in an attempt to make him let go. "All I need is to take her home, she has to come back to me." He blurts, pulling at Donnie's wrist. Donnie's angry expression fades as he processes Damien's statement, but it isn't long before his expression flares with disgust and disbelief once again. "You know that isn't happening."

Damien raises his head to talk better. "It's not really something to debate, turtle. She owes me her skin and bones."

Donnies expression grows more stern as he burns a hole through Damiens skull with his gaze. "Like hell I'll let you take her, you're beyond delusional."

Damien huffs and shoots Donnie an irritated look. "I can offer you a guarantee of her safety, as well as protection and wealth for your family on my behalf. Who knows, maybe if all goes well, I'll allow her supervised visits"

Donnie expresses how baffled he was upon this sudden bribe with a look.

Damien sighs and clears his throat. "Could you let go?" He requests with an unamused tone. Donnie frowns and releases Damien's shirt from his grasp, though he is reluctant. Once the irritated brunette composes himself, he sighs. "It'll be a hassle for me, but it seems right to offer such a reward. No need to thank me, but if you want to know more and are ready to make a deal, call the number on that paper. If you don't act in a timely fashion, I will simply take things into my own hands."

SIlence fills the room, and a long pause follows. It was almost unreal. The arrogance. The delusion. The nerve.

"You can't possibly be serious." Donnie was in pure disbelief that Damien was going about your life as if it were some sort of business exchange, and a disgustingly possessive business exchange at that. Damien waves a hand in dismissal. "Like I said, such a reward is called for, trust me when I say it's worth thinking about."
