A/N: I've finally found a good name for our antagonist....
"What did you want to talk about?" Ben says as he leans on the wall. "Look, you can't keep working with Damion. Do you understand me?" You pinch the bridge of your nose and glare at him.
He sighs like a sad father, "Look, I'm doing all I can with work -this is all I can do right now- unless I can get a good... What.. four hundred bucks before next week?" You feel a bit worried for your friend, but all you could do was stare at him and eventually, you smile. "I have to say wagon-boy, that mustache suits you." He runs his thumb and index finger over his facial hair, "Really? Everyone else said it looked a bit silly, especially for an eighteen-year-old."
You hiss, "Don't listen to them. It looks nice."
Ben laughs a little and stuffs his hands in his pockets. "Perhaps."
You smile and look up at the sky, you could see the horizon starting to glow.
"The sun's rising!" You giggle and point. Ben doesn't seem to be as excited about the beautiful sight though, because he gasps and pulls out his phone, "Oh, no-no-no! I have to get home before Maddie wakes up." He frets. You frown, "Already? We just got to talking, man!"
Ben chuckles a little, "Sorry, (Y/n), I have a ten-year-old to take care of."
You felt a bit disappointed that you had to say goodbye, but you smiled at him anyway. "Can we meet up again sometime?" You ask, extending your arm to shake his hand. Ben nods with that same bright smile you remember, "Sure. Be prepared for me to come by unannounced though!" You both shake hands and he turns, "See ya', twinkle-toes." He jests. You smile -then get an idea. "W-Wait!"
Ben turns around in confusion and when he sees you zip into your apartment, leaving the door wide open, he decides to wait. As he steps to the side and leaned against the railing, he recalls those turtles, specifically the ones dressed in hoodies.
---------
You run past the brothers to your hallway. They all tried to ask what you were doing, but you paid no attention.
You open your hall closet and pull out a small box. You look up and find a specific coat. Swiftly, you reach into the left pocket and pull out a key and before you could truly think about what you were doing, you unlock the box and flip the lid open. Inside, sat hundreds of dollars in cash that you'd been saving for years. Swiftly, you pull out a handful of bills and count them. "..Five-hundred." You conclude, locking the box and hiding it -and the key- once more.
And so, you dash back outside. Ben looked at you quizzically as you anxiously fumbled with the bundle of cash. "Sorry about that, I had to get something." You say as you smile and slowly extend the cash out in-front of him. It takes a moment for him to realize what you're doing and when he does he shakes his head at you. "(Y/n), no. I can't." You huff and shove the cash into his face.
"Take it, or I will follow you until you do."
Ben regards you and the money for a brief moment, before a grateful smile appears on his face. Slowly he reaches out and takes the money from your hands. As he holds them in front of him he can't find words as he silently counts them in disbelief. You smile and pat his shoulder. "It's the least I could do after avoiding you guys for so long."

Ben looked up at you again, his face was full of disbelief, yet you saw in his eyes how thankful he was. You could tell whatever words he had were now dried up on his tongue. "No need pal, just go home. Pay those bills, take care of Maddie. I can't wait to see you again sometime." You say, taking his shoulder and turning him around.
Ben begins walking away, but pauses a few steps down. There's a moment of stillness and you can feel a wave of closure. After years of not seeing him, here he was. Right in front of you.
His head turned and he seemed to debate on saying something. However, he just gives a half-grin and waves his hand back at you, continuing his descent down the stairs.
----------
As the sun peaked between the tall buildings and Ben finally left your sight, you felt something nudge you. You look to your right and see Raph, slowly you tilt your head up and feel a wave of nervousness when you see his face. It was blank and musing, but when he spoke you felt relaxed once more.
"What you did there was really nice of you, I'm proud." He carefully pats the top of your head, not wanting to squish you again. "Just don't do something that risky again, got it?" He squints down at you. With a proud smile, you nod enthusiastically. Raph's stance relaxes as the calm city streets begin to carry the scent of an approaching rainstorm.
Raph pats your head one more time before glancing towards your door, "I'm gonna come by every night to check on you until you can get those locks changed, okay?" You follow his gaze, then look back up at him, "Are you sure? I think I'll be fine-" You start, but he shakes his head; cutting you off. "No, it's my responsibility as the oldest to watch out for you and my brothers. No talkin' me outta it."
You smile and lightly shove his shoulder, then lean in and hug his stomach, "Thank you. You guys do too much for me."
He chuckles and pats your back. "Not really, you're important to us."
You let him go and cross your arms, relaxing your posture. "I'm guessing this is the segway for you leaving?" You ask with a small chuckle. "Yeah, I'm a bit tired." He frowns a bit and looks at you, "Keep an eye on my brothers, alright? If they give you any problems, just call me."
You nod and roll your eyes jokingly, "Might as well just take them now in that case." You giggle at your joke. However, Raph gives you a concerned look, "Are they causin' trouble?"
Your eyes widen and you shake your head, "Oh, n-no! They've actually been acting really strange -nice of course- but strange." Raph's mask furrows a bit, where his brows would be. "Do you know why?"
Your face heats up in embarrassment and you bite your tongue. You just shrug, not wanting an embarrassing talk while on such low energy.
He sighs and nudges your arm with his elbow. "Don't worry, I already know why. I was just messin' with ya'." Your words die on your tongue as embarrassment washes over you. He glances at the sun that is almost past the horizon, "Ok, I'll see ya' tomorrow, 'twinkle toes'." He goofily mocks. You snort and wave goodbye, your nerves slowly relaxing as he climbs up your building and starts running off along the rooftops. As some rain finally starts sprinkling down, you hear Leo call for you. "(Y/nnn).. Help!"

You sigh and turn on your heel, jogging into the apartment. You laugh a little as you watch Leo wave his hand and snap his fingers in Donnie's face. Donnie was now sitting on the couch and he looked to have put the blade away, but the poor turtle tech-wizz seemed to be in a trance. You raise a hand and step to Donnie's side. Carefully, you take his hand. "Hey, space cadet, it's time to come back to Earth." You say in a becoming tone. A few seconds pass and his body loosens up. His head turns to you and he blinks a few times. You chuckle, "Hi there." You say tracing circles on the back of his hand with your thumb.
Donnie doesn't reply, he just looks away. His hand hung loosely in yours, it took a moment for him to return the gesture. He hesitated at first, but he eventually gripped your hand with confidence.
Leo rocks side-to-side, then yawns. "Can we sleep already?" He asks, taking off his jacket and beginning to untie his blue mask. You yawn yourself and stretch your legs and free arm. "Yeah, it's already... m-morning." Donnie leans into you as you say that, making you almost forget what you were saying.
Leo smiles and walks into your hall. "I saw some blankets in here earlier when you were using it." Leo says as he reaches to a high shelf in the closet and pulls out a few blankets. He does his best to fold them over his arm before closing the closet.
"Move over, lovebirds." Leo says with a smirk.
You raise a brow at him. "What?"
Leo takes your shoulder and pulls you up. Right when you're on your feet, he leans in and whispers in your ear.
"I've made my moves tonight, it's time my bro gets his chance." He says. Your words dry up on your tongue. Leo pulls away and steps back, tossing the blankets on the couch. "Whelp, I'll sleep on the couch tonight. You two will have to find somewhere else to sleep." Leo remarks suggestively, winking at his brother who had a derogatory look directed back at him.
You rub your arm, "Well, my bed--"
Leo interjects with a loud and excited tone. "Oh! Your bed, great idea, sweetheart!" Leo takes your shoulders and turns you around, pushing you forwards. "You two better get going, I'm dying to sleep." Leo says, faking a yawn then pulls Donnie up by the arm. You stand there dumbfounded, Leo continues. "Why don't you go set the bed (Y/n)? My brother and I have something to discuss." Leo says, sounding like he was about to give a lecture to his brother, so you hurry off to your room.
----------
Once the door shuts the two boys are left alone.
"Ok, you see what I'm doing, right-" Leo's cut off when his disapproving brother smacks him. Leo rubs the side of his face with a pained look, "I see.." He concludes, frowning at Donnie.
Donnie groans quietly and grabs Leo's shoulders, "Yeah, I get what you're doing here, but I'm trying to take things slow. I want both of us to be ready! This is too far!" Donnie gestured towards your room with an exasperated expression. Leo puts his hands up. "Don, you have to take some chances. You gotta keep the spark lit, buddy." Leo brushes his brother's hands off and his expression becomes serious. "Look, Donnie, that girl in that room likes you a lot. You need to man-up and show her that you care too! She must think you're not interested anymore or something. You're so distant!"
Donnie's face falls and he looks away, his brother had a point, he had been distant.
"I know, I know, but I don't know if I'm ready for something like this. How am I supposed to sleep in the same bed as her? We haven't even ki-" Leo covers Donnie's mouth. "You worry too much, man. Just go in there and be yourself. Don't sleep in the bed if you don't want to. Just bring some romance already!" Leo exclaims as quietly as he could.
Before Donnie could respond, Leo turns him around and pushes him all the way to your door.
"You can do this, just be cool. Like me." Leo said, puffing his chest with a laugh. Donnie didn't laugh along though. As his twin backed away and sat on the couch, Donnie could only look on at your door.
He felt himself shrink before it, to the point the silly plank of wood felt like a terrible beast ready to swallow him whole. He glances at Leo, who in-turn, gives him a reassuring thumbs up and smile.
Donnie smiles back as best he could, then takes a huge breath and reaches for the doorknob. As soon as his fingers touch the metal surface, the door swings open and hits Donnie in the face. He stumbles back and groans, rubbing his face.
You gasp and jump forward. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were standing there." You reach out and take his face in your hands. Donnie freezes. Carefully, you turn his face and examine it. "You're not bleeding. That's good." Once you cleared him of any bad injuries, you released his face and moved aside so he could pass into your room. Donnie shakily grins and steps through the doorway, feeling a cold sweat as his mind begins racing.
You peek out the doorway and smile at Leo, "Goodnight, Blue!" You call. Leo chuckles and gives you a wink, "Nighty night, princess."
You bashfully smile and back into the room, shutting the door as you do.
When you turn, you see Donnie standing at your window looking at something. His back faced you, so you curiously skipped over. "What's the matter?"
Donnie Looks at you with wide and -frankly- horrified eyes.
"(Y/n).." He trails off and looks back at whatever he was seeing.
You step back a bit as Donnie takes his staff and hits it against a loose metal rod on your window. As the impact dented it, something was revealed underneath. You didn't quite know what it was, all you could make out was a small, blinking red light. Donnie carefully removed it with a blade he pulled out. Once it was out in the open, he examined it, before dropping it on the floor and smashing it with his staff in disgust.
"A camera.." Was all he said before raising his staff and reeling it downwards for another smash. Your mind drew a blank for a moment, before you realized what he'd said, and the implications it had.
Once the small device was shattered into unrecognizable fragments, Donnie dropped his staff and pulled you into a protective hug. As he held you, you stared down at the destroyed device with a mortified expression.
Someone had been watching you. You didn't know for how long and you don't truly know why, but you know exactly who it was.

His boots squeak across the clean tile floor.
"Boss, she took the bait, but there's been some.. Complications." His voice cracked as he looked at the man before him, hair a mess and suit creased and unkept.
"What do you mean?" He said in a husky voice
"One of our cameras has been.. Destroyed." The man replies, feeling an impending sense of doom.
"Well, then see that it is fixed!" His boss yelled while looking through a large chest in the corner of the room.
"How do we do that? There's more of them now."
"I don't care! Just do whatever you have to!"
"But, Damion-" The man is cut off
Damion Steel finally faces the man.
"Figure something out, Benjamin.
That's not a request."
Ben's guilt-filled brown eyes hit the floor.
"Yes, sir."
