The first chapter of my new story has been uploaded.

Here's an extract for you:

A shadow of a man looms in the passage dimly lit by the sunlight that gradually gets stronger as the seconds on the clock pass by. There's a strange alertness to his posture and an evident stiffness to his shoulders. The unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach has begun to bubble its way up to his throat.

He knows deep down: something is wrong.

For just a second his attention is captured by the buzz coming from the front door. He ignores it, nonchalantly. Whatever it is, can wait. Back to focus on the crisis at hand.

What is he forgetting...

And then he remembers! It comes to him suddenly like a slap across his face that leave a blazing red mark.

He bolts down the corridor, manic and frantic, hands moving by his side in a purposeful manner. His hair stands up at various odd angles like shards of glass. His eyes mirror the panic in his heart. His loose pajama pants dance along the movement of his legs. Every determined step that hits the littered wooden floor is hard and echoes ricochet from one wall to the other. But as his right foot lands on a slimy cold surface, his brain sends panicked orders to the rest of the body.

ABORT MISSION!"
