Jungkook has feelings for Y/N.
Jimin stares at Taehyung who's still fuming at the other. He's chest rising and falling rapidly as he tries to compose his anger towards the whole situation.
How can that be? Jungkook never said anything to me..
"What makes you think that?"
When Taehyung snorts at his question Jimin immediately starts feeling stupid. "How can you not see it, Jimin-ah?" His voice softens as he takes in his best friend's reaction to his harsh snort.
"Remember that time Jungkook suddenly disappeared and you covered up for him despite not knowing where he was? When he finally told us he was in Daegu did not not for a moment think why he was there in the first place?" He waits for Jimin to reply but the other seems to have lost his ability to speak, his mouth suddenly dry and a tight knot in his throat choking him. "He had taken Y/N to see her grandmother. We've known Jungkook for years and we know he only goes to those extremes when he really cares for someone."
"How did I not see it?" Jimin's voices is barely audible as he asks himself that question. "Why didn't he tell me?"
"Because he knew you liked her too."
Jimin finally looks away from the floor to his friend who returns his looks on shock with one of sorrow.
"I was so blind. How could I-" His voice cracks not allowing him to continue. Jimin buries his head in his hands that tighten around it, trying to make the throbbing pain in his head go away.
"This is why I didn't want you to know! I knew you'd end up blaming yourself." Taehyung moves to sit next to his best friend, and places a hand on his shoulder.
"How could I do that to Jungkook?" Jimin no longer cared to keep his voice steady.
"You didn't know, Jimin-ah."
"I should've know. I was so selfish." Thinking back, it all seemed to make perfect sense. Jungkook's constant teasing should've been enough evidence, he only ever teased the people he truly cared for. It was his childish way of getting their attention. Or even the way his eyes always followed you around a room. The way he'd got flustered when your name was mentioned. But it still didn't answer a lot of the questions Jimin had.

Why did you leave? Why hadn't you told him anything?
Jimin springs to his feet standing straight enough to resemble a rod. "I have to talk to Jungkook."
"Jungkook, open up! I know you're not asleep!" Jimin pounds his fist against the door not caring about the time or waking up the others who are most definitely flouting away to dreamland. He had started off nice when he first walked up to the younger's door and had knocked quietly which was followed by a unresponsive long wait. But his patience was running thin and he desperately needed answers.
His ears perk up as he hears the sound of the bed spring whine and feet shuffling around. He hears Jungkook sigh. The sound is so clear, only partially muffled due to the door, that Jimin anticipation intensifies. The door knob twists and the door cracks open ever so slightly.
Jimin shifts his body weight from one leg to the other but the door doesn't open any further. He places a tentative hand on the cold surface of the door and pushes it open to see Jungkook sitting on his bed his eyes trained on the floor.
The older man hesitates before stepping in. But the second he's over the threshold his desperate need for answers vanishes into thin air. He licks his parched lips and opens his mouth to speak but words fail him. When he looks over at the younger man taking in his thinning form, Jimin can't help but hate himself for what he's done.
He walks over to the desk in the room and places the plate of food he brought with himself. As he sets the plate down his eyes hand on two objects that are placed carefully on the centre of the desk: a yellow umbrella and a phone. On close inspection, Jimin realises it's not Jungkook's phone and briefly has memories of having seen it elsewhere. He's quick to push away any unnecessary distractions when he sees a white plastic bottle hidden away by the piling papers. As Jimin picks the bottle up the pills move inside noisily.

"I.. Uh.. I brought you some food," Jimin manages to find his voice. "You should have something."
"I'm not hungry. But thank you."
The silence is suffocating. Jimin, bottle still in hand, walks over and sits next to the younger. His eyes wonder around the room as he gulps trying to get to the point. "Jungkook, what's happening?"
"Umm.. I have trouble sleeping. So I take those pills."
The younger refuses to look up and the lack of movement is seriously starting to make him look like a statue. Jimin hesitates at first unable to bring himself to ask what he wanted to know.
"Why didn't you tell me about Y/N?"
Jungkook's heart skips a beat at the mention of your name. His head whips around to face Jimin. The look on his face in enough evidence to prove Taehyung's claims and something inside Jimin shatters. Some selfish part of him was hoping everything he'd found out today would be a lie.
"W-what are y-you talking about, Hyung?"
Jimin shakes his head unable to vocalize his inner thoughts. He knew it was wrong to be angry but he couldn't help the energy from rolling in his gut. "Don't even call me that! I-I thought that we were close, Jungkook."
"Hyung.."
"Why didn't you tell me you had feelings for Y/N?!" seeing Jungkook flinch Jimin feels the guilt begin to raise up to his throat.
"How could I, knowing you felt the same way about her? I'd never do that to you.. I'd never want to get in the way."
If Jungkook was trying to make the older man feel better he was failing miserably at it. The words sting as they echo in the dimly lit room. While Jungkook would never do such a thing to his Hyung Jimin had gone ahead and done just that.
"You're right for her," Jungkook continues. "You've always been nice to her. Remember the first day you met her-"
Jimin lets out a low chuckle despite the situation, "How can I forget? It was quite the sight.. you two were."
"You didn't even know who she was yet you helped her. Asked her if she was okay, gave her painkillers and took care of her while I was the one to cause her pain."
"I'm sure you would've done the same if you weren't hurt too."
Jungkook lets out mirthless laughter which sounds rough yet sad. "Until the very last moment I was nothing but cruel to her."
Jimin is taken back by the bitter tone but pushes forth anyway. "Do-does she know... About the way you feel?" He almost regrets asking the question, he's afraid of what the answer would be. Drawing in a steady breath he tries to ignore the chilly fear the seizes his heart.
"No-" Jungkook's voice cracks. He shakes his head no, just in case it wasn't clear before. "She must think I hate her for the way I treated her."
"Jungkook-ah..." Jimin inches closer and wraps him arms around the younger who finally relaxes at the warm gesture.
"It doesn't matter anyway." Jungkook straighten up and looks directly at his hyung. "She likes you."
Despite his words Jimin doesn't feel better. He knows deep down the reality behind that statement. He has seen tears in your eyes for Jungkook. He has seen you worry for Jungkook. He has seen you always put Jungkook first. As much as he'd told himself it was all part of your job, he knew there was more to it.
However, Jimin doesn't share any of this with Jungkook. He prefers to keep these thoughts to himself.
Jimin sighs, "I guess it really doesn't matter, now that she's gone."
