"Hey.. you've reached my voicemail. Leave a message after the tone."
Beep.
The sharp sound rings in your ear as the line falls silent excepting you to leave a message. You squeeze your eyes shut in frustration. Drawing in a long breath to compose the pulsing headache you look up to face six sets of eyes looking at you expectantly.
"Nothing." You simply state with a shrug. As the single word leaves your lips and echoes in the practice room you see the look of disappointment on the faces of the others, some even angry.
"There's no point sitting around waiting for Jungkook to come. Let's carry on with practices. Y/N will do what's necessary." Namjoons says to the other and then looks at you with a tight lipped smile and you nod taking responsibility.
As the 6 men move around taking their positions you get back to the task of tracking Jungkook down. You had made it a point to remind him about today's practice, there's no way he could've forgotten right?
You hold your phone to your ear listening to the monotonous ring you've been listening to since the morning. When the the calls goes to voicemail for the 30th time you feel worry churn in the pit of your stomach.
Where could he have gone?!
The boys had been certain that he wasn't home when they left this morning leading them to believe that he'd have left early. No one had seen him since last time. He wouldn't answer anyone's calls or texts.
You push open the door but not before grabbing a packet from the snack table and putting it into your pocket and step out allowing yourself to think in the corridor which is quite. Leaning against the wall you try calling him again, this time a little more in your heart.
Jungkook's fine. He's just running late. You reassure your thumping heart.
You impatiently pace along the length of the corridor. You had to do something to occupy your mind and body. Suddenly, you near footsteps coming from the far end. You stop. It's not unusual to have people moving back and forward through these hallways yet there's something about the sound of the oncoming foot steps that cause you to stop at listen: they sound as if the individual is dragging his feet with a lot of effort.

You straighten as you see a hooded figure walk your way. He has his hanging low but you don't need to see his face to know who he is.
You walk towards him slowly. He lifts his head to look at you and it takes even ounce of strength not to gape at his appearance.
His bloodshot eyes meet yours for the first time that day and you feel something twist painfully in you. His hair is a mess as it stands out at awkward angles.
"Are you alright?" You voice is gentle as it leaves your lips.
He snorts. "Oh.. and you care all of a sudden?"
"What is wrong with you? Stop acting like a complete lunatic-"
Jungkook shoves past you and into the practice room.
The music stops immediately.
"Jungkook-ah," Jimin is the first to speak. "Where have you been? We started practices two hours ago-"
"I'm here now, aren't I? Why are you wasting time interrogating me?" Jungkook raised voice echoes through the room. Your eyes widen at his tone, you've never heard Jungkook raise his voice not at his hyungs especially not Jimin. From the looks of complete horror on the others faces it's a first for them as well.
"Yah! Jungkook-ah! Is that any way to be talking to someone older?" Taehyung moves protectively closer to Jimin who's looking at Jungkook with hurt evident in his eyes.
"No, he's right," Jimin says. "Let's not waste anymore time."
"Jungkook! You're in the wrong place!" You hear Hoseok say for the fourth time in the last 10 minutes. The irritation is clearly etched into his face as he places both hands on his hips.
"Okay, looks like we need a break." Namjoon announces trying desperately to defuse the growing tension.
You watch as everyone disperses to different corners of the room. Your eyes follow Jungkook's figure are he walks to the back of the room, slumping against the wall he slides down to sit on the floor. But just then you catch some movement from the corner of your eye..
You gasp as two hands wrap around your waist. The familiar sound of chuckling rings in your ears making you smile.
"Jimin," you whisper afraid someone will see you. "Someone will see us."

With a some struggle you manage to loosen his grip on you and turn around to face him. "So what is somewhere sees us?" He asks with an impish smile.
"Aren't you tired?" You try to avoid the topic all together. You were confused about the way you really felt about Jimin. Jimin was always so nice to you, always a gentleman. Yet, you couldn't bring yourself to feel the kind of affection he always showed you which made guilt well up. He's perfect, but why were you having trouble returning his feelings...
Jimin have must seen something change in your expression as he bends low to peck your lips. Your eyes widens in shock as the sudden gesture but it's over before you can react.
Trying to hide the reddening of you cheeks you reach for the white towel hanging around Jimin's neck and wipe away the glistening sheen of sweat on his forehead.
"Jimin?" You hear you voice softly say his name.
"Hmm?" He hums, his eyes never leaving your face.
"About the way Jungkook spoke to you earlier-"
"Oh that's nothing," Jimin's quick to cut you off. "He must be just stressed about the concert. It's nothing to worry about. I shouldn't have bugged him as he walked in anyway." You tighten your fist around the soft fabric of the towel and search his eyes for any sign. When your eyes meet his you realise he truly means every word uttered.
How can someone be this understanding?
"Yeah.. you must be right." You find yourself saying.
"Seriously hyung!" Jungkook's voice drips with annoyance as he glares at the older man.
"Wot?" Jin manages to push the word out of his full mouth.
"You ate all the Oreos again!" It wasn't a question. Jungkook hears the sound of muffled crunching as Jin not so secretive tries to hid the wrapper in his fist and give the younger a look that barely convinces his innocence.
"Unbelievable." the younger mutters rolling his eyes before walking off into the very back of the room.
As he slides down to the floor he tires hard to ignore the two individuals standing not very far away from him. He tries to ignore how close they stand. He tires to ignore..
Last night, he had got off the bus and gone straight as he told you he would but lying on his bed he could fall asleep despite feeling exhausted. He couldn't get you off his mind. Jungkook knew all too well that he should distance himself from you but he had given into temptation that day and let his guard down. He had let you take care of him. He had let himself get close to you. He had let himself touch you.
Unable to calm his mind he had left home and realised he had no place to go. He couldn't go to Han River and let the cold breeze by the bay engulf him like he would've on another day because he'd be thinking of the time he'd sat beside you at the bay. And he most certainly couldn't go to the roof top of BigHit..
He had walked the streets of Seoul all night like a lone ghost. He hadn't gone home at all that night...
Jungkook's thoughts are interrupted when two feet appear before him. He looks up to see you.
"Hey," You voice is cool and light as you squat down to meet his eyes. "I got you something." He raises his eyebrows questionably.
"What?"
"I know how much you like these so I saved you one." You hold out a packet of Oreos. For a minute he's confused and then he reaches for them.
Turning the cylinder shaped object in his hands he looks up at you.
Why Y/N, do you have to make it so hard on me? Can't you just left me suffer on my own without making it harder on me?
"Gee thanks!" Your brows furrow at his over sweet tone but done say anything.
He stands up and you do the same. Jungkook moves past you and you turn just in time to see him toss the Oreos into a bin before walking right out of the practice room slamming the door behind him.
