GK woke up with a start. He calmed his racing heart being worried about Anuj. The door was locked and he sighed. He knocked on the door and continued for a few minutes. He gave in a furious whisper and the door was unbolted. Anuj's state was a clear indication of his turmoil, who was staring at that the horizon before the day began with his regular routine. The sight haunted GK like anything. He gently dragged Anuj with him and made him sit on the bed. The dressing was changed.
said GK patting his head.
Anuj listened to it and nodded his head in acceptance whilst fresh tears threatened to fall.
finished GK, and with that, he left the room giving some space to Anuj to ponder over that ill-fated incident.

Devika had woken up with a jerk. She walked towards the room to check on Anupama when she found Samar leaning at the door looking at the petite figure of his mother. They both looked at each other and walked to the kitchen knowing that it was time to have some conversations over tea. Anupama was soaking in the rays of the sun, with her hair loosely braided that were swaying in the air. The cool morning breeze was giving her some solace when Samar engulfed her in a hug. The hug was magical and it brought a genuine smile to her face when she spotted Devika with a tray holding three mugs. She handed over the two cups to mother and son. The serenity was blissful and even before Samar or Devika could speak, they glanced at Anupama, who was deeply thinking about something. She was absentmindedly sipping her tea when Samar kept his head in her lap and let his tears flow freely. Anupama caressed his head lovingly and said in a compassionate tone, She gently patted him till he calmed down. said Samar stutteringly. The last statement caused her to crease her eyebrows for surely situations and relationships had changed now. She had a battle to fight. This was seen by Devika. finished Samar, with a finality in his tone, and went away picking up the tray. The ladies were glad for the privacy.
The fire in her best friend's eye did give her an inkling but still, she wanted to hear from her. Anupama heaved a sigh as it was arduous for her. She voiced out her thoughts as she looked at the horizon.
Devika counter-questioned.
, asked Devika after a momentary pause. Anupama was speechless. She was clueless as to how would she reveal the clandestine affair lest she had some proof or unless the family saw it with their own eyes. Heck, she was unsure whether the affair had really ended or it was another lie. She looked up in the sky hoping that Kanhaji would show her some way.

Anupama asked, her voice strained with fear The shock would be an understatement for Devika for she was unable to figure out Anu's intentions and the course of action that she was going to take by involving Anirudh, of all people. Sanjay Bhai was still understandable but she could sense the storm brewing within her best friend's heart. The doorbell rang, indicating their arrival, bringing Anupama and Devika out of their reverie. Sanjay had an inkling about what was to unfold whereas Anirudh had been appalled when Devika had reached out to him stating that Anupama wanted to have a talk with him. He was speechless and so simply nodded in affirmation. Anirudh was baffled for he had known Anupama to be a sweet and loving lady, whereas Sanjay had a glint of proudness in his eyes. No sane woman would stay under one roof after being deceived. said Anirudh. Anupama gestured for him to continue while the conversation went on over a cup of tea. Anupama said, Anupama wanted to move out with grace and dignity rather than washing the dirty linen in public but that man had left her no choice. It was an oddly awkward situation yet these two men stood up to her. Maybe that's what pain did. It brought people together.

Vanraj Shah had been lost since he had returned home last night after his conversation with Anupama. He feared the consequences and wondered whether Anupama was going to come out all in open. He felt nervous and scared for the first time in his life. It was a delirious situation for him as the affair had been his secret from the family and with Anupama being distant he was denied the liberty of easing out his worries by having a conversation or by confiding in someone. He was walking on fire and either way it will be him who would lose it all. Kavya's absence had been a relief for him. He needed a break from the chaos and so made an excuse of work, thereby staying at some resort for the next four days. The family did find it weird but he had all planned it very carefully citing that it was really urgent or else he would have stayed back for Anupama.
Paritosh felt a tug in his heart after the confrontation with his mother. He was in a dilemma for he had always seen his father dish out anger on his mother for even a small mistake. He was caught in a fight between his parents. He always wanted to be like his father, hard-working and dedicated. He sighed as he had always considered Anu to be an embarrassment. He felt that his mother would never understand his issues and studies given the fact that she was less educated and the generation gap between them. It was difficult for him to choose between either of them. The betrayal had left his mother jaded and he did not want to lose his father. He knew that his father had committed a wrong yet he could not help but worry about his mother who had been rock solid until two days back. He shared his worries with Kinjal as he simply could not hear bad about both of them from anyone when he heard a loud crash only to find his younger brother at the threshold of his room. Samar had gone to Shah Household to prepare a surprise for his mother. A frame of his parent's journey of togetherness when he overheard Kinjal and Paritosh's conversation regarding the illicit affair as he wanted to show his gift to his elder brother. The frame came crashing down.

Samar was livid with rage. He looked through the exterior personalities of his parents. They were poles apart. One was selfish whereas the other was selfless. One was giving and the other had always been self-centered. He now loathed his father and locked himself in his room lest his anger gets better of him.
Somewhere on the outskirts of Ahmedabad
Kavya Gandhi had been on a guilt trip since the entire fiasco. She had been fretting out about Anupama's health and her V had completely cut her off. Her phone calls went unanswered. It was unexpected for her. Sometimes, she wondered whether loving Vanraj was a mistake or had she failed in knowing him as a person. The turbulent waters did make her realize something. They both were hot-headed and he was always full of himself. She lacked the courage to step into the Shah Household and enquire about Anupama. Heck, she was clueless about the happenings as she had moved out of the neighborhood for her sanity. She had been staying at a resort since her flat had been under repair.
Vanraj was perplexed to find Kavya at the resort. He decided to make a move from there lest she spotted him. He was screwed up. The situation was getting murkier. He walked away with long strides when he heard her calling out to him. The pace of walking increased and he was cursing incoherently under his breath, while Kavya caught on to him. He felt for her sultry voice and the emotional drama that she managed to pull off by coaxing him. They both shared their worries and now were staying together. Anirudh's aid had spotted them together two days later after the meeting that had taken place. He clicked their pictures and sent them over to him. Little did both of them know, that it had been Kanhaji's play all along. The truth would be soon out in the open.
The next two days passed in a blur when Anupama called up the family stating that she wanted to meet everyone. Kavya was perplexed when she received Aniruddh's call and he had expressed her desire to meet her. The Shah household was taken by surprise. The sudden change in Anupama's demeanor was alarming.
Ghatlodiya, Ahmedabad
Everyone was seated in the hall awaiting Anupama's arrival. The family members were shocked when they saw Kavya and Anirudh together. Baa had been swinging the swing at an even pace with her mind conjuring up various scenarios. She feared the tone in which Anupama had delivered her message. It had sent her bells ringing. Samar had been strangely quiet after he had discovered the unthinkable- an extramarital affair. Paritosh and Pakhi were curious whereas Vanraj was anxious. Anupama was clad in a simple saree as she entered the house along with Sanjay Bhai holding a few papers in her hand. Anupama looked different. There was a spark in her.
Anupama took a deep breath as she gazed at everyone. began Anupama as she gestured to Anirudh for the photographs. The photographs made everyone rooted in their place. It was of Vanraj and Kavya being found together in the resort. asked Baa still reeling under the jolt. It was unbelievable for her that her son would do something horrendous.
answered Anupama in a heavy-hearted voice. Vanraj was about to begin his narcissistic manipulation when Anupama's claims were supported by Anirudh and Sanjay. He tried to refute and put forth a different perspective when Dolly spoke up, Bapuji put forth a question. The warning look made Vanraj scared for his life. He dare not lie. He accepted it begrudgingly. answered Anirudh whereas Kavya and Vanraj closed their eyes. Anupama stumbled upon learning this while Samar held her. Bapuji sat down with a thud whereas Baa looked at her son blankly. Paritosh and Pakhi looked on bewildered. Vanraj grunted and said, Anupama stared at him in horror. This man had clearly gone nuts. He was getting on her nerves now. finished Anupama steely. That was enough for Vanraj to shut himself up. She looked at Kavya and spoke, She turned to Vanraj and said in an impassive manner, , and with that Anupama walked out of the household with her head held high after handing over the papers to that man.
spoke up Samar with certitude.

Curiosity Killed The Imp
A/N: On hiatus (higher priority). The story is planned out but I need to do some rewriting for clarity and cohesiviness. Still very interested in the story though. Aeris is a place of endless conflict. Bloody evolution is the way forward, and the closed fist is the path given. Life is a luxury granted only to the strong. In a tiny corner, at the edge of a volcanic land, is born an imp. An imp no different from any other save one thing. An anomaly in its code. A blip in its creation. For unlike other imps, this one was born…curious. Book Cover by Betty Elgyn: https://www.deviantart.com/bettyelgyn

Yet Another RimWorld (Dropped)
*Fanfiction based on the game RimWorld*A more realistic take of RimWorld, where we follow the pawns that must struggle to survive in yet another Rimworld. Their stories, guided by a particularly playful narrator, will tell the tales of survival, defeat, gains, losses, triumph, and ultimately ruin. Trials faced by people, in places of various circumstances, will be observed and presented to its audience. What will be presented here are insignificant snippets of history, merely few of the innumerable tales and prospects to be found across this wide galaxy; The things we discover from these pawns, so many yet so few. Ultimately, they are just more drama meant for enjoyment, albeit in a twisted way. A/N:This is a fanfiction, based on the game "RimWorld". Using my personal gameplays as a basis for this fanfiction, in addition to some embellishments here and there. Unlike the silly antics that caused grave consequences if you had ever played RimWorld, my rendition will (hopefully) stay more grounded to reality, whereby no one will go beserk and dig up corpses if they can't eat on a table for 3 days in a row. That's all I need to say, you get the point. I'm writing this for fun. So please expect me to be inconsistent. Lastly, I am incredibly grateful to Tynan Sylvester for the game he created, "RimWorld", which is loved by many across the world and it will always remain a special place in my heart. For without his game, my work would not exist.
