《Teddy Bear | WinRina》Chapter 13

To their surprise, it wasn't quite hard teaching Winter the basics she needs to have in order to blend in their school as soon-to-be an exchange student. All they had to do was list out all the Do's and Dont's for her.
"Don't bow like the first time you meet us."
"People might think you're weird and no one would befriend you!"
"Don't chase after Choco milk."
"No clinging."
"No wall-hugging."
And so on.
Aeri had prepared all the necessities for Winter, with the help of some friends she has. She didn't lie about putting herself in charge of expenses, to Ningning's surprise. She almost thought her dearest friend was a mafia or something. Nonetheless, she kept her words.
"Are you sure you're up to this, baby bear?"
"If school is the only way Winwin can see Katrina all the time then yes!"
"And you should really use reflexive pronouns instead of using "Winwin" all the time."
"But it's cute!" Ningning whined.
"Ningning."
"Aeri."
Winterdidn't say much throughout the "tutorials" she had to go through in order to get in their school really. She pretty much nods at everything, listening attentively. Though she was banned from hugging the wall almost made her pout uncontrollably.
It was all thanks to her personal talent, as the bear herself like to call it. It was a miracle.
Aeri had lay out a blanket on the floor for her and Winter to sleep on and took out another one to cover their body while Ningning sleeps on her bed. After everything is set, they bid each other a Goodnight and called it a night although it was a little early.
—
Except that night, Winter wasn't able to sleep.
"Ughh Aeri I told you the toilet is on the left end." Ningning groans and turns to the other side when she felt light taps on her shoulder. When the latter didn't budge, she taps again.
"Aeri how many times should I-" It wasn't Aeri. "Winter...?"
"Ningning ..." The said girl slowly sits up, rubbing her eyes to adjust her sight. Kneeling on the edge of Ningning's bed is Winter, clenching a pillow in her arms with a pout on her face.
"What's wrong?"
"C-Can I sleep next to you?" she furrows her eyebrows confused, but nods nonetheless. The pout was too strong for her heart. With that, Winter slides herself next to the latter. "Thank you." She mutters quietly Ning raise the blanket up.
"It's okay." Ning turns to her and smiles but it fades when she sees Winter spacing out. "Tell me, bear." she tries to bring out whatever the other has in mind.
"O-oh? Wha- Tell what- What do you mean?" She chuckles when Winwin snaps out of her thought after poking her cheek. "You've been very quiet, you know"
"It's n-nothing!"
"Ah I didn't ask anything, baby bear." The chipmunk can't help but to laugh at the blank bear. "Now you tell me or else we'll cancel the school thingy." She lies.
Winter bit her lips, clenching her pillow tighter, looks like there's no other choice. "Well, I've never spent a night away from home." She draws an imaginary circle on the pillow. "It feels... weird."
"What? Are you saying that my house is uncomfortable?" the latter jokes.
"Wait- NO! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" Winter sits up immediately, waving her hands in front of Ningning who's laughing. "You're cute, baby bear." she pulls her down to lay back. "and I'm just kidding."

"Oh. Heh."
"I know. You're worried about Katrina." She states which made the bear scoot closer eyes widen. "HOW DO YOU KNOW?"
"Baby bear," she turns herself facing the latter fully this time, "I know how it feels like."
"Oh are you worried about Katrina too?"
"LOL not that." The chipmunk sighs. "I mean, I know how it feels like not being able to sleep because of a person." She pauses. "A person whom you'd do anything for to get her attention, but only to be ignored and tossed aside, your hard work. A person who's very important to you."
"Why so?"
"Because that person had found another..... person who's worth her attention more." Ningning thought the bear had fallen asleep when she doesn't answer, so she just exhales loudly. But to her dismay, Winter wasn't as she slowly wraps her hands around Ningning, hugging her making her flinch.
"W-winter??"
Winter hushes her, patting her on the head, "It's okay it's okay, let it out." The latter giggles as she pushes the bear away slightly with a finger to create a distance.
"I'm not crying, bear." She laughs this time when Winter stares at her like she just saw a maniac.
"Why... not? Aren't you sad that you are ignored?" Winter crunches her nose at the end of the sentences.
"Nope! Not at all. In fact, I'm happy." Nothing can get more confusing for Winter now. How can someone be happy when she was completely tossed?
"I'm happy with the people I am with now, I get the attention I never knew I needed instead of wanted," she refers to her two best friends, "Plus, the person whom I used to give my all to is happy to now, with the other one."
Winter smiles nonchalantly listening to her, feeling relief that Ningning wasn't having a breakdown.
"And then, you appeared. The fun seems doubled ever since." She looks up to meet Winter's eyes which are beaming with sparkles and all things nice. She's flattered.
"It almost feels like you're another Aeri but an angel one." She says jokingly. "Speaking of Aeri, why don't you want to sleep next to her?"
"She kicks me in her sleep..."
—
Katrina got into class a little late the next day. She had forgotten that Winter was sleeping over at Ningning's. There was something missing that she felt like she's not ready to step outside the house. Yeah, something was missing. But she doesn't know what it was.
After checking her stuff in her bag for the nth time, she had decided to just take off. Luckily, the teacher for their first period was also late as she arrived first.
"Sorry I'm late!" Katrina says to her two besties before settling herself down.
"No sweats, the teacher isn't here yet either." Her bestie on the back dismisses.
"How's Winter? Is she behaving well?" the cat shifts her seat to face Ningning next to her.
"Oh I'm surprised you actually asked!" the latter replies with a playful mock earning a questioning look from her. "Don't worry, she's really behaving very well! I think she has mastered the basics of all knowledge now." She smirks, eyeing Aeri who returns the same expression.
"What are you talking about?"
"Never mind that, you'll see her soon too." Katrina was about to question further when she sees Aeri's grin, but it looks like the teacher has arrived. So, she just assumed that Ningning will be sending her home after school.

"Good morning, class." He dismisses them to sit down after the class greets him. "my apology for coming late. I have an arrangement to do," he studies the whole class with bored eyes and smirks, "which leads to the surprise we'll be having today."
And with that, the class is now filled with murmurs and confusion.
"DID YOU BRING US FOOD?"
"Uh- no, Bangchan-" he pinch the bridge of his nose, typical Bangchan. "Okay, I'll cut to the chase, our school has received an exchange student from..." he takes out a piece of paper from his file, "A-Alaska? And she'll be going under our classes for the whole month."
"SHE? OMG A GIRL?" the boys starts to cheer, some are even pumping their fists in the air as Ningning and Aeri laughs quietly. Katrina almost thought they caught Winter's crazy.
"Calm down now. You don't wanna scare her." the teacher looks over the door. "Come in, Miss Kim."
The name made Katrina laugh as the new exchange student from Alaska's surname is the same as Winter's. "Just like Winter's, am I right?" She turns to her two besties who's grinning at her not saying anything. "What?" she heard the guys spazzing as well as some girls were squealing.
"What..."
"Hello everyone! My name is Winter Kim, please take good care of me." Standing in front of the class was none other than the bear itself in their school uniform, but ...with eyeliners? Sharping her features even more.
"WINTER!?" without realizing her surrounding, Katrina stands up smacking her palms on her table. Realizing her mistake a few seconds later when all eyes were on her, she shrinks back slowly into her seat.
"Miss Yu, do you know her?" their teacher questions.
"Yes she does." Winter answers him instead. "Apparently, Miss Ning's 2nd cousin and I know her friends very well too." He nods after she gives Katrina a smiting wink. It didn't go unnoticed by the class as the girls' squeal turns louder. Katrina can only shrink more as her besties giggles.
"WINTER OH WINTER!!" Bangchan raises a hand to which Winter nods for him to continue, "You are so pretty!" Katrina scoffs.
"That's not a question," Winter chuckles, "but thank you." She flashes the same grin she always shows Katrina, Bangchan almost faint.
"Winter-shi!" the said girl turns her head to a familiar blonde girl, "Oh! It's you, cutie!" she waves hyperly to Soyeon who's waving shyly back at her.
The trio then threw a glare at her when she only dart her tongue out.
"OMG SHE CALLED SOYEON CUTIE-"
"YOU ARE CUTER-"
"CALL ME HANDSOME PLEASE-"
"CALL ME A CUTIE TOO-"
"Ok now, let's push aside all those... requests first," the teacher pesters when he sees almost everyone raising their hands, "Miss Kim, please introduce yourself further,"
"Oh! Well as I said earlier, my name is Winter Kim." everyone giggles over her cuteness, except for Katrina. "Sadly, me being here is only temporary. But that doesn't mean we can't get along well, right?" again, everyone cheers.
"Do you have any personal talent?" the certain question from a velvet-haired girl made Winter grin.
"I can't tell you that yet, looks like we have to see it along the way, shall we?" she winks at her making the latter almost choking her friend sitting next to her by the collar.
"Is there anything that you like?"
Winter ponders for a minute. "I like Katrina and Choco milk."
Katrina can only face the table.
—
After a whole devastating period for Katrina that feels like a decade though it's only 15 minutes because their teacher came late and he had to bring an exchange student in, she drags her besties out including Winter (not after struggling her out from the circle of new fangirls and fanboys) to secluded area.
"YOU TWO-" she points at Aeri and Ningning, "HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO."
"What? I didn't do anything wrong here!" Aeri raises her hands in defeat.
"EXPLAIN THIS THEN!" she points at Winter who's absentmindedly stares at the yellow butterfly flying around her :D
"It's not our fault, Katrina, it's Winter's wanting to attend the school!" Ningning says calmly while patting her back. "You don't need to worry, we had fixed her up with all the basic knowledge she needs for a normal schoolgirl."
"A cool with a hint of overload cuteness" Aeri mumbles which go unnoticed by Katrina.
The cat took a deep breathe before walking to Winter, grabbing her by the shoulder, "why are you doing this..." the latter only looks at her blankly then broke into a grin as she leans to kiss her on the cheek. "I didn't give you this, this morning right?"
Katrina blushes hard as her friends tease her. She pushes Winter away. "Oh and about that, it's been a while since I get a long stare at you, now that I'm part of your class," She purse her lips looking around as she was thinking, "I can stare whenever I like."
Winter is right, surprisingly.
Because she's just an exchange student, to focus in classes isn't that necessary for her, still, she is reminded by some ground rules from the satan and the chipmunk. Keeping it a low profile is a must unless she doesn't want to get caught for being a....Winwin.
Fortunately AND unfortunately for her, she was seated across the class from Katrina.
"Katrina!" a voice snaps them out of their mini event making everyone turn to its direction.
"Oh boy." Aeri snorts rolling her eyes followed by a scoffing Ningning.
"J-jeno!" Katrina pushes Winter to create a bigger gap between them, making the bear almost falling on Ningning.
"H-Hey"
"How's the paper I asked you to elaborate?"
"It's in my c-class. Let's go get t-them." She stammered making Winter tilt her head in confusion, she never heard her master that nervous before.
"Thank you so much! You're such a big he..." His gaze fell on Winter who just stares back at him without making an expression. "Well hello there," he walks over to her completely forgotten about Katrina's invitation. "I've never seen you before. My name is Jeno." He offers a hand with a smirk.
Winter didn't take his hand and just stand straight in front of him. "So, you're Jeno." Winter's eyes somehow turn cold accommodated by her eyeliner. For the first time ever, the trio felt intimidated.
When Jeno knew his introduction will be left unanswered, he takes it back, shoving his hand in his pocket. "Ah, feisty." He leans till their face are only few inches apart. "I like feisty."
"Jeno," Katrina pulls him by the wrist slightly.
"I'll see you around." With those last words, he turns on his heels and makes his way.
"Well that was intense." Ningning didn't realize she was holding her breathe. "Winter don't do that, I'm scared." The bear looks over to the two and grins childishly, she's back to normal. "I'm sorry."
"I got to go...Winter, please behave." Katrina pleads.
"Where are you going?" She pouts. Yep, she's back to the fragile bear she is.
"Jeno needs his paper back... You two please take care of her." She sigh deep before walking away.
Winter was about to chase her but a voice stopped her.
"Ah there you are, Winter!" a teacher approaches them. "Good morning!" the three bowed slightly to him.
"What's the matter, sir?" Winter asks politely.
"Firstly, I would like to thank Miss Ning here for guiding you into here." Ningning smiles, "Because you are new here, and although it's just temporary. It wouldn't hurt for you to get to know our necessities here, am I right?"
"Of course!" Winter agrees immediately, the prioritize your respect for the teachers point reminded her.
"Good! You listen well!" He laughs, "Someone will be guiding you to show you around the school-"
"We'll do it!" Ningning and Aeri offers in unison.
"Oh no no, three is a crowd!" he jokes, "and we only need one, and luckily someone already offers herself to show Miss Kim around."
"Oh no..." Ningning breathes as a blonde girl approaches them from behind the teacher.
"Hello, cutie."

8 149The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
