As the day went on Khari sat in his office taking business calls. He had trips to make for events and of course it required him to go to Atlanta, he had to go to Georgia then Florida and then Vegas, but he was still considering Vegas because the last time he went there was for one of his college friends bachelor party and he promised his self he wouldn't go back.

"Yeah, I know, I might sell that house, my plan was to stay in New York for a few months but you know, a nigga found love and can't leave." He joked over the phone with Leo. "But when I get back down there next week we definitely linking up bro." He said as a knock was made on his office door. "Bet, ima talk to you later." He said hanging up the phone. "Come in!" He yelled out. His door opened showing Kiara with papers in her hand.

"Hey mama, what you doing here?" He asked sitting up, fixing himself. Ever since Kiara got her studio Khari let her go and Shayla has been filling in.

"Hey, I was dropping these off for you for Shayla, she had to run to get her other lenses." Kiara said as she put the pictures down for the new issue.

"Thank you." Khari said taking a glance at them. Kiara sat down in the office chair across from him and sat her head on her hand. Khari looked at her and she didn't look the same as usual, she looked more tired and she wasn't as cheerful. "What's wrong mama?" He asked standing from his seat and walking over to her sitting in front of her on his desk.

"Nothing, I'm just really tired and hungry." She told him.

"Bet, come on, let's go get something to eat, I can't be out here having my baby hungry." He said kissing her cheek and grabbing his car keys. "What you wanna eat?" He asked.

"I don't know, can we got to Applebee's or something?"

"Yeah come on." He said grabbing her hand. As they walked down the hall hand and hand. "Mani, we'll be back, I'm about to take her to get something to eat." Khari said stopping by Armani's desk.

"Okay, you okay Kiki? You don't look too well." Armani rushes from around her desk and checked her forehead.

"Yeah, I'm just tired and hungry." Kiara told her. Armani looked her over and nodded, Armani never saw Kiara look so bad before. She didn't look like herself and she gaining a little bit of weight.

Khari and Kiara headed over to Applebee's. As they were seated Kiara walked pass a table that had steak and the look and smell made her stomach hurt, she just shook it off and kept walking to their table.

Kiara sat quietly at the table and looked over the menu and all she could think of was pasta, just the thought of meat made her gag.

"Hi, I'm Johnathan, welcome to Applebee's, could I start you two off with some drinks?" The young man asked.

"I can take a sprite." Khari told him.

"What kind of tea do you guys have?" Kiara asked.

"Lemon, is that fine?" Kiara agreed and the boy went along to get their drinks.

"I'm going to Atlanta next week, you wanna go with me?" Khari asked Kiara.

"Sure. I don't have any appointments for a while since we're still new." Kiara told him. She rubbed the side of her head as her head was aching at how loud the music was. "I wished they turned this down, my head is killing me." She said frustrated.

"Mama you sure you okay?" He asked concerned.

"Yeah, just, damn why they music so loud."

"Baby it's not even that loud." He laughed. Kiara got silent and continued to look at the menu. They next ordered and Khari order a steak.

"Wait, can you please not get a steak?" Kiara asked nicely.

"Why not? That's what I want?" Khari said.

"The smell just, I can't handle it."

"Mama, are you sure you okay?"

"Yes, can you just not get it?" She said frustrated. Khari was confused but didn't question it.

"Can we both get the shrimp Alfredo." He said ordering their food.

Once their food arrived they began to eat silently. Khari watched the game that was on the tv and Kiara texted Karla. As she ate a waitress walked by with a surf and turf which made Kiara's stomach turn upside down. She quickly rushed out the booth and ran to the bathroom to let it out. Khari got up and went after her. He knocked on the door and called out for her.

"Kiki, I'm coming in." He said walking in hearing her let out her lunch. "I'm taking you home. You can't work today, you not feeling good mama." He said.

"Ok." She said as she continued. Khari took out his phone and texted Armani. She responded back quickly.

Khari scrunched up his face at the sight of the message, a pregnancy test? There couldn't be any way she could be pregnant, He knew they always used protection and the last time they did the do was a few days ago and Khari knew she couldn't get these symptoms that fast. Once Kiara got out he walked her out and left their money on the table. He got her in the car and drove to the closest CVS near the house.

"Hey, um, where's your pregnancy test?" He asked one of the workers. He walked to where they told him and he grabbed the one Armani told him to. He grabbed two of them and went up front to pay for them. The lady double bagged them like he asked and Khari got back to the car. H drive then back home.

Kiara laid on the couch and Khari went into the kitchen to grab her a bottle of water.

"Baby, I need you to drink this, go in the bathroom and use these." He told her as he gave her the water and pregnancy test. Kiara looked at the two test and let out a chuckle.

"Baby, I'm not pregnant, I probably just ate something bad this morning, I'm fine now." She waved him off.

"Kiki, I'm serious." He demanded. Khari was nervous but he needed to know. Kiara realized how serious it was and decided to take the test.

She chugged the water and waited until she had to pee, once she did she did her do and waited. When time was up she looked at the test reading it. Her face dropped and she quickly threw the two test away. She walked out seeing Khari.

"So?" He asked anxiously.

"Negative." She said sadly.

Kiara and Khari were finally in Atlanta for Khari's award ceremony. He took Kiara's bags and put them in the trunk of his car and the two headed out. As Khari drove to his Atlanta home, Kiara looked at the scenery and she liked it, it wasn't as bad as New York, traffic was okay and he looked more interesting.

An hour passed and they pulled into Khari's driveway. Kiara was shocked by the house. Just looking at it made her wonder why the hell he stayed in New York.

"This is beautiful." She said amazed at the sight.

"Thank you, it's yours too." He sad beginning to grab their bags. As he opened his front door Kiara became more amazed. She would happily move here with him if he asked. It was a gated community, quiet and peaceful. They took their stuff upstairs to the bedroom and they both collapsed onto the bed.

"I'm so tired." Kiara said.

"Same. I don't know about you, but I'm taking a nap." Khari said kissing her head before changing and then getting into bed. Kiara did the same and they both took naps. After their naps Khari just took Kiara around the city and they went out to eat for a bit.

As the day came Khari got up and went downstairs to make breakfast. As he danced to Kompa.

Kiara walked down in a robe and came up behind to kiss him good morning. "Good morning mama, how'd you sleep?" He asked with a smirk knowing exactly how she slept because it was because of him.

"Shut up." Kiara playfully hit him.

"I even got ya ass glowing." He teased. Kiara looked at what he was making and her stomach began to hurt again at the sight and smell of the sausage.

"You don't have to give me any, hungry." She told him, which was a lie, she was starving but she just didn't want the sausages. Kiara jetted out of the kitchen and upstairs to the bathroom to vomit again. She felt terrible for lying to Khari. Her test came out positive last week she was just scared to tell him, shoot she was scared to come to terms so she everything she could to hide it from him but it was like everyday that went by it got even harder and harder. She wanted to tell him but she just didn't know how to. All last week Khari showed mixed emotions when it came to her being pregnant, some days he was okay with her nut being so but some day she actually wished she was because he wanted to build with Kiara.

She headed back back and began to eat breakfast with him. They had a long day ahead of them, They had to get their outfits for the ceremony that was later tonight and Kiara had to get her hair and nails done. Once they finished eating the ran around the city and did some shopping and running around. Kiara's feet were hurting, her breast were sore and she constantly felt like she had to throw up.

Thankfully hours after their errands they made it back home and chilled until it was close to them to get ready for their night. As they laid in bed Khari rubbed Kiara's inner thigh and kissed on her neck, trying to get her in the mood but she wasn't feeling it so he just stopped. He got up to shower and threw on some shorts and a tee shirt. Khari reached into his duffel bag and pulled out a bag of Doritos and began to eat them and just Kiara's luck, there was now a new disgusting smell to her. Kiara hopped up and ran into the bathroom to vomit one more time.

"Kiki, what's going on?" Khari said rushing to her to hold her hair. Her sickness got worse and Khari tied her hair up and grabbed her some shoes.

He called his manager and told them that he's be running late to the ceremony. Once Kiara was finished she brushed her teeth and walked out to find Khari siting on the bed.

"Baby, put your shoes on, I'm taking you to the doctor, this is second time today, yes I peeped this morning so come on." Khari demanded. Kiara did as told and the two went to the hospital. Once he checked in 20 minutes went by and a doctor came to check on Kiara. They checked a blood pressure and blood sugar and everything was fine.

"Okay, Ms. Palet. Only thing we can do for you right now is to ask you to take this pregnancy test."

"We already tried that, it came out negative." Khari told the doctor.

"Well, she can take again to be sure." The doctor handed Kiara and cup and she did as told. Once she was finished the handed the cup back to the doctor and the doctor walked off.

"Mama, that test came out negative right?" Khari asked. Kiara took a gulp before responding. "Right?" He asked once more.

"Khari, when I took the test-."

"Positive, congratulations." The doctor said coming back into the room. Khari looked over at Kiara and walked out.

"Khari." She ran after him.

"Why you lie to me Kiara?" He barked.

"I was scared."

"So was I! But if you would've told me the truth we could've worked something out, figure something out at least!" Khari said frustrated with tears coming down his face.

"Khari, I'm sorry." She softly said,she was more afraid of him being upset with her then anything.

"I'll be in the car, if you need me." He said calmly as he walked towards the car.

Kiara walked back into the hospital and back to her room. "You can lay here, we're just gonna give you a quick ultrasound if that's okay? Would you like a copy of it when we're done." The doctor asked as she lifted Kiara's shirt up. Kiara nodded her head and before she knew it a cold liquid was being put onto her stomach, the doctors assistant turned on the machine and they began the ultrasound. Once they finished up Kiara wiped her stomach off and waited to get her copies of the ultrasound. Even thought there wasn't much she just thought it'd nice to have her first ultrasound. Once the doctor returned she gave her the pictures and Kiara headed off. Once she got in the car, Khari started it up, he was upset that she lied to him about something so serious but he didn't want her to think she was alone either, yes she was afraid but Khari was terrified. He didn't know what fatherhood took, shit he could barely watch Nyla. He let out a sigh and looked over at Kiara, seeing an envelope in her hand. "What's that?" He asked.

"Ultrasound." She said shyly. Khari reached for it and slid the pictures out, the doctor was nice enough to label what he was looking at because he had no clue. As he saw the little dot on the paper he fought back his tears, he couldn't believe she was actually pregnant, he wasn't even concerned on when and how but ok why was the next step. As a tear dropped from his face he quickly wiped it away. "So." He began. "What's next?" He asked looking over Kiara, who looked back at him with teary eyes.

"I.. I don't know." She cracked. Khari wrapped his arm around her and the two sat in the hospital parking lot, thinking of their next plan.
