《MELODY》THIRTY-TWO/FALLEN

As Kiara rose from bed she stretched and looked over to see Khari still asleep, which was surprising because he usually was awake first. She stood and walked into the bathroom to get herself together for the day, she had a week to graduate and she was becoming impatient. She was so ready to get her degree and happy dance across the stage. As she brushed her teeth she felt warm arms wrap around her body and Khari's face dug into her neck placing mall kisses.
"Good morning." She smiled.
"Good morning mama." He responded causing chills to go down her body as he wasn't fully awake, his raspy morning voice was such a turn on for Kiara and she just wanted to jump onto him. He grabbed his tooth brush and applied tooth paste to it and began to join Kiara. "What we got planned for today mama." He asked.
"Just picking up Noah and watching him for the day, I have to go to the mall to get my shoes for my dress and then run pass the magazine to give Shayla some camera lenses, she's been doing so good, i might hire her at my studio." She said grabbing her face cloth and washing her face.
"So we stealing employees now? Wow." Khari teased.
"Shut up." She waves him off. "But I graduate in a week." She danced in place.
"I know. My baby a scholar." Khari said beginning to hype her up next making a song out of it making her dance even more. They stopped and laughed. Kiara got into the shower while Khari went into the room to get dressed.
Khari went into the room and changed into jeans and a polo tee. Kiara walked in with her towel wrapped around her body. She went to her side of the dresser and took out some clothes and began to get herself together for the day. She put on some jeans and a tee shirt, she went into the closet and grabbed a pair of air force's and the two stared their day. They first went to office and did some last minute things, Khari just went to make sure everyone got their pay and that everyone was doing what was needed to be done. Kiara walked into the photo studio and saw Shayla setting up.
"Hey pretty girl." Kiara greeted her with a hug.
"Hey, Kiki, thank you for the lenses, I got you back." Shayla promised.
"Nah, you good, I got like a hundred of them." Kiara waved her off. "How you been doing? Ima come in next week and help out." Kiara told her.
"No, it's fine, I got it, focus on your studio. Congratulations by the way." Shayla flashed a smile.
"Ok, call me if you need anything." Kiara pat her in the shoulder next walking out. Kiara walked to Khari's office to see him sitting at his desk looking over some papers. He began to rub the bridge of his nose, which told Kiara he was frustrated.

"What's wrong?" She asked sitting across from him.
"Sales have been dropping." He sighed. "Looks like no one is interested in these old ads entrepreneurs, they want some one young and breaking barriers." He sat back looking up at Kiara.
"You know what you should do, this new kid from Brooklyn, he's a up and coming boxer. I had a shoot with him a couple weeks ago. He's a cool kid, he has a good social media following and all." Kiara informed Khari.
"Bet, can you send me his information so I can reach out to him or his management?" Khari asked.
"Yeah, if I can find it I'll send it to you or Mani." Kiara told him.
"Thank you baby." Khari said standing to lean over the desk to peck her lips but was interrupted by Armani.
"I'm about to go up the street to the breakfast spot, you want anything?" She asked.
"Nope, I'm actually about to head out. I'll be back around 3:30 or 4." Khari told her.
"Okay and Kiki, thank you for watching Noah, I really do appreciate it. I wouldn't mind leaving him home because he's old enough it's just his little ass always letting my dog out and run around the damn building."
"It's all good, I got a fun night for the two of us planned." Kiara told her.
Khari and Kiara headed out and ran the rest of their errands, they went back home. Kiara walked into the bedroom and flopped onto the bed. Khari walked in behind her with a bottle of water in his hand. He flopped down beside her and laid his head on her thigh.
"What time we gotta become parents?" Khari jokingly asked.
"Around 6." Kiara laughed with Khari. The room grew silent. "Babe?" Kiara shyly spoke as she brushed Khari's head with her hand
"Hm?" He asked looking at his phone.
"I gotta talk to you about something." She told him which caused Khari to set his phone aside and sit up and give her his full attention.
"What's wrong?"
"So, I've struggling with telling you something and it's because of my own insecurities, but I realized I can't be so insecure about it because it's something I have to live with and I was afraid of saying anything because I didn't want you to pity me or treat me any differently." Kiara began as her voice got lower.
"Kiki, Whatever it is I'm not gonna treat you any differently. We gon get through it together, like we always do." Khari said holding her hand and hearing him say that gave Kiara some hope and she felt good that she was with someone who loved her for her.
"I have a condition where I'll eventually lose part if my vision." She began she began to explain to him her condition and eventually told him about how it's genetic.

"So if I have the same missing gene as you, our potential child could end up having the same condition as you?" He asked clarifying as Kiara nodded. "Okay, that's no problem, we just gon have to work through it. I mean you have the condition so you can teach them how to cope with it and I can help with the encouragement. It's no problem and I don't care about your disability. That doesn't take away who you are as a girlfriend and friend to me." Khari assured. "I love you, no matter what." He said kissing her lips.
"Thank you." She kissed him back. The two watched a movie until it was time to pick up Noah.
"What you wanna eat lil man?" Khari asked as the drove back home.
"Can we get Wendy's?" Noah asked looking up from his IPad. Kbari nodded and glanced over at Kiara who looked as if she was in deep thought. He didn't say anything, he just decided to wait until the reached back home. They all stopped at Wendy's and grabbed some food. Once they made it home Noah's face was in amazement.
"Your house is nice, Mani's house not even half of this." He said causing Kiara to snicker.
"But your home is bigger." Kiki told him.
"I know, but I thought all New York apartments were small like Mani's." He said.
"Nah, but Mani gon get a spot like this soon." Khari told him. "You play the game?" He asked Noah as he picked up the controllers.
"Yeah. Can I play? What games do you have?"
"Madden, FIFA, 2k, GTA, Tekan and sonic." Khari told him as he watched Noah think about his decision. He chose 2k and the two grabbed controllers and then began to play. Kiara just sat on the couch watching them both argue and fight about how the other was cheating.
"And oneeee!" Noah yelled as he got in Khari's face as he made his winning shot.
"Man, Noah move." Khari laughed at Noah's attempt to dance. He next lifted Noah, throwing him over his shoulders and then lightly dropping him on the couch as the two play fought. Kiara just shook her head at the sight. He warned her heart, she couldn't wait to start a family even though she was sometimes she was pretty hesitant on doing so because of the possible outcome but she always tried to not let that get to her.
The three sat in the living room as Kiara and Khari watched Noah finish up the last bit of his school work before Shivani came to pick him up.
"I'll see you Monday." Kiara said as she walked him to the car.
"Okay. I'm gonna be the loudest one in the crowd." Noah said as the two did the handshake they made up a while ago.
"I bet. See you later dude." Kiara said hugging him as he climbed into the car. Shivani let down her passenger side window.
"How was he? He didn't drive you crazy did he?" She joked.
"Nope. Actually he was more occupied with Khari then he was with me. He finished all his school work so tomorrow he could have a free Saturday." Kiara told her.
"Thank you. Here." Shivani said handing Kiara a one-hundred dollar bill.
"No, I don't to get paid to watch my brother. It's all good." She said pushing her hand away. "I'll watch him for free, shoot if he ever just wanted to come over he could, me and Khari don't mind." The two grew silent and Kiara mustered up to ask her the question she was dreading on asking and answer. "Do you have any contact with my dad? I just..just wanted to know in case I can contact him or anything." Kiara asked.
"Kiki, it's getting late, I'll call you in the morning and let you know." Her mother said next flashing a smile starting the car back up. Kiara disappointedly nodded and walked in the house with her hands in her pocket and head down the ground.
As she walked back into the house she was met with a KO'd Khari on the couch. She realized his 'comfort' position was one hand on his chest and the other one hanging down, which she didn't understand because was he not afraid that something was gonna grab him and pull him? She grabbed a blanket and covered it over him, as she began to walk away Khari tiredly held onto her hand and pulled her back to him.
"Come here." He said tiredly. He pulled Kiara on top of him and wrapped his arms around her body as he began to fall back asleep. Khari began to become obsessed with being wrapped up under Kiara. Her body was just so small but so comfortable and he felt safe under her. Somehow he got the blanket over the two and the snuggled off to bed. All Kiara could think about was who could possibly be her father. All her life she wanted to meet the man who her granny said she cared for dearly. All Kiara knew about him was his name, nothing else and it sometimes bothered her that maybe one day she probably just walked pass him and didn't even know.

Kind’s Kiss
MAGIC DOESN'T KILL, NOT BY ITSELF. IT NEEDS A LITTLE HELP. Jessica DeRidder is a substitute teacher and mage in hiding, her daughter Ellen a killer on the run. Their next job lands the mother-daughter team in Hellhole, a small town in the middle of nowhere. All they need to do is their job. For Mom to identify the problem, and for Ellen to... fix it. Easy. Simple. But not this time. The pair find themselves caught in the struggle between the Man-in-White and the Wicked Witch of the West. A mysterious image and the theft of a deadly flower lead the pair to a score of dead prisoners, magical drug dealers, and red-eyed assassins falling from the sky. And somehow it all seems to be related to Ellen's murky past. All Ellen wants to do is do her homework, eat ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order). She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)
8 123Right Side of Hell
Albus Dumbledore was sure he made the right choice sacrificing an innocent child. Too late he understood how terrible that mistake was. Harry Potter was not what he wanted him to be, he was not what the magical world expected him to be. He was not a replica of James, instead, he inherited more of Lily. Far too much to be convenient.
