Kiara sat in her last class of the day, dreading for 3 o'clock to hit. She only had a few weeks to graduate and she couldn't be more excited. Her and Troy were officially about to be college graduates. She waited for the day since she got accepted into college. Kiara crosses her legs as the AC in her class was blasting. It began to get warmer as the days went by in May. As she listened to her professor speak she felt her phone vibrate, he ignored it because she didn't want her professor to see her looking down especially because she sat in the very front.
"Now, are there any questions? We're through with our lesson. Remember, y'all last exam is this Friday. I'm ending class short." Her professor said to the class as he cut the projector off. No one raised their hands and with that he packed up his things and walked out. Kiara gatherer her things and headed out as well. She took out her phone from Khari saying he was stuck in traffic, which she was completely fine with because she wanted to go to the cafe and grab something to eat. As she stood in line for her food she scrolled and texted some costumers, she was getting booked back to back for graduation pictures, thankfully she didn't have any shoots at the magazine so she was able to focus on her photography and school. She was more excited to do her and Troys photos. Ms. Gonzalez wanted them to have a photo shoot so she could hang it up in the house and post the pictures on her Facebook. Kiara and Shivani began to get closer and Kiara was okay with it. She even invited Shivani to her graduation mainly because she had one ticket and she had to give to someone, it was initially for her granny but she was no longer here so she gave it to her mother. It bothered a bit to know she didn't have any other family sometimes but she always reminded herself that Troy and his family were her family.
Kiara got her food and paid the cashier, she walked outside to sit in square. She scrolled down her phone next dropping her phone as she bumped into a person. She picked her phone up and and looked up to see Darien.
"My fault Kiki. I wasn't paying attention." He apologized as he looked her over and it made him nervous, she looked so beautiful, of course her hair was curly and her baggy tee shirt looked good on her, Darien didn't know if it was the sun beaming if her skin or if she was actually glowing but regardless she was beautiful.
"You good." Kiara said wiping her phone off. Luckily it wasn't cracked because she really didn't feel like getting a new one even though Khari offered over and over again to buy her a new one and she always denied, she didn't want him spending his money on her, especially on anything as small as a phone.

"Listen Kiki, I just wanna apologize if I-." Darien began.
"Hey baby, I was looking for you. Still wanna go get something to eat?" The women said as she linked her arm to his.
"Yeah, I'll meet you in there." He said kissing her cheek.
"Okay, hi." The girl greeted Kiara. She seemed to be very cheerful and sweet and Kiara smiled at her and said hello back. "I'm Ava." She said.
"Kiara." Kiara smiked. Her phone vibrated one last time and the text was from Khari.
💕
"Nice to meet you, I'll see you guys later." Kiara said knowing damn well she wasn't planning on seeing neither one of them again. She walked off meeting Khari at the car. She saw him standing against the car looking down at his phone. He had a fresh hair cut and he wore some sweatshorts and a graphic tee, he had a fresh pair on air forces 1's on. The sight made Kiara blush because she loved when he got a fresh cut, not only was his hair lined up but his beard and everything looked neat and smooth.
"Okay, I see you. Fresh line up." Kiara hyped him up. Khari looked up and smiled.
"Man stop it, you know I had to do it to em one time." Khari blushed. "How was your day?" He asked as he opened her door for her. Kiara climbed in and strapped in. Khari got in as well and did the same.
"It was good, how about you?" She asked.
"It was chilling, just ran around and paid everyone, then checked this months issue to make sure everything was fine and got my cut. I got a surprise for you back home." Khari told her as he pulled off.
"Khari-." Kiara began.
"Nope, ion wanna hear it, yes, I bought you something, it's nothing too big. You'll be fine. It's not gonna kill you." Khari told her. He wanted to spoil Kiara but she wouldn't let him so he had to do it when she wasn't around him. He was so used to buying his significant other things he didn't mind doing so for Kiara and she never asked for anything because she always treated herself but he just wanted to spend something on her for once.
"Wait, can we turn here real fast." Kiara asked as she pointed at the upcoming street. Khari did as she wanted and stopped when she told him to. Kiara looked at the empty one floor building and looked to see if the for sale sign was still up. Once she saw it was no longer in the window and replaced with a sold sign she frowned to herself. "Okay we can go." She said disappointed. She was saving up to buy the space for her photography studio. She had to get one more payment and she was honing to able to buy the space for herself.

"It's okay mama, you'll get your space soon, okay." He said rubbing her shoulder, Kiara had been having Khari drive by the studio for weeks now and he could see the twinkle in her eye once she envisioned herself in it. The rest of the car ride was silent until they made it back home. Kiara flopped down onto the couch and silently scrolled down on her phone. Khari walked in behind her and went straight to his room. Once he came back out he sat beside Kiara, throwing his head back. "Baby?"
"Yes." Kiara asked still looking on her phone.
"You ready for you surprise?" Khari asked her.
"I guess, maybe it'll cheer me up." She told him. She sat her phone down beside her and folded her legs and turned towards him.
"Okay, put your shoes back on, I just had to get the finishing piece to it." Khari said standing up. He grabbed his car keys and Kiara just slipped on a pair of her slide and they left back out.
"Where are we going?" Kiara asked as they drove through the unfamiliar neighborhood. Khari ignored her and turned the corner. Once they did so, Kiara started to recognize the area, Khari parked the car and grabbed her hand. "Close your eyes." She did as told and her guided her to their destinatio. "Open your hand." Khari said, Kiara opened her hand and felt an object fall into her hand. "Open." She opened her eyes and she was standing in front of her photo studio. Surprise!" Khari cheered.
"You playing me?" She asked in disbelief.
"Open the door." Khari pointed to the key. Kiara walked to door and out the key in and pushed the door open. Her jaw dropped and a smile spread upon her face. She ran in and did a happy dance causing Khari to laugh.
"Thank you. Why didn't you say anything earlier." Kiara hugged him.
"Because then it wouldn't have been a surprise and I forgot the key at home to I had to get it." He said hugging her back. "The landlord said you can come in and set everything up on Saturday." Khari told her. Kiara did one more look over the place and began to plan out where everything would be. She saw it was two more rooms and then a restroom. She came to the conclusion she'll have more than one room for a studio then the smaller one would be her office.
Later that night Kiara decided to go to dinner with her mom and Armani as they all ate at Armani's small Brooklyn apartment.
"How's work going for you two?" Shivani asked them as Armani washed the dishes and Kiara dried them and put them up.
"It's fine." They said in unison.
"That's good, Kiara how's you and Khari?" She asked.
"We're good, guess what he did today? It's was so sweet." Kiara beamed at the thought of her new photo studio.
"What?" Armani asked as she handed her s glass.
"He bought the studio space for my photo studio." She danced as she put the glass in the cabinet.
Aww that's so nice. I like him. He seems like he's good for you." Shivani said as she walked over to the two girls. "Mani, this weekend can Noah stay with you while me and your father go out?" Shivani asked.
"I have a date this weekend. Sorry. I can ask Nina if she could swing by and watch him for a few hours." Armani rod her.
"It's fine, we'll figure out, that girl always eats up my damn food and don't replace shit, I'm good." Shivani said causing Kiara to snicker.
"I can watch him. I haven't really hung out with Noah since Christmas, I'm pretty sure Khari wouldn't mind and Noah my dawg." Kiara shrugged.
"You sure, Noah can be crazy sometimes?" Shivani asked.
"Yeah. If he's anything like Khari's sister Nevaeh, he'll be fine." She assured her.
They finished cleaning and began to watch tv and relax of Armani's coach. Kiara's mind wot drifting to ask her mother what happened to her dad. She was too afraid to ask because she was scared of her mother's response. She always assumed the worse, like what if he didn't want to be bothered with Kiara, what if he was dead. She didn't want to find out but she still wanted to find out if he was still alive and if she could get in contact with him. The night came to an end and Shivani drove Kiara home. As they pulled up to Kiara's building Kiara took a deep breath and turned to her mother.
"Who's my dad?" Kiara asked bluntly cashing Shivani's eyes to widen a bit.
