《MELODY》THIRTEEN/ LETS GET THIS RIGHT

It was now November and the weather was changing drastically. It went from hoodies and sweatpants October to freezing cold with bubble coats November in a number of 7 days. Kiara was finally out of her funk and back on her feet. Her Geanny's funeral would be this Saturday and it was very small. Granny didn't really mess with alot of people and the people that she did mess with heavily were definitely invited to the funeral. Kiara was walking to the library on campus to get some studying done due to her missing a few days of classes. Luckily Troy bought back her class work and thankfully she only had one test and a quiz to take and that her professor was letting her do so. Kiara listened the Kendrick Lamar as she walked and prepared herself for the amount she was about to sit down and tackle. She walked onto the elevator to go to the second floor of her schools library which was the quiet area, while for downstairs was like where people met to study and tutor. Kiara walked over to a empty table and put her book bag on the chair beside her and began to do her work.
Kiara kept her focus as people got up to leave and come in the area. She read and annotated all of her work, she finished that up and begin to do some work for her business management class. She loved her major and she was ready to graduate and start her photography business. Other than her being busy with school she was busy with her photography as well. A young lady hired her for an event she was doing and was paying Kiara a good 150 for it, her internship at the magazine had her ripping and running from location to location. She just wanted to be done and work for an actual company until she got herself together, her money was right and she was happy that her ending of the year was going to be done with a sturdy cash flow. Her apartment searching was pretty difficult, she was currently stuck in between a place here in Harlem but also one in Manhattan. She loved her hood but Manhattan was such an aesthetic for her it was crazy, even though they were so close to one another. Kiara looked down at her math problem for her accounting course and grew frustrated. She didn't understand anything the paper was saying and the problem pissed her off.

"How do you do this bullshit." She whispered to herself. She attempted the problem one last time and she kept getting stuck at the same point. She followed her notes Troy gave her but something wasn't adding up. She gave up, tossing the pencil not paying any attention where it flew to.
"Ah." She heard a groan But ignored it, picking up her phone and texting Troy. "Uh,I think you're pencil kinda flew and hit me in my neck." The low yet deep voice spoke as it tried to stay silent and not interrupt anyone, handing her back her pencil. Kiara looked up seeing a young man she's seen around campus plenty of times.
"I'm so sorry. It's just this school work is stressing me out." She apologized as she took the pencil away from him and sat it on the table.
The young man glanced at her textbook then at her notes. "Accounting? Who's your professor?" He asked.
"Dr. Schmidt." Kiara said.
"I have him every Tuesday we just finished the chapter, I can help you if you want." He offered.
"Please? Thank you" Kiara thanked graciously. She needed to get this down so when it came time for her test it wouldn't bother her.
Before they started she went to get a drink.
The young man took the seat beside her and slid the notebook to himself and a pencil and began showing Kiara how to work the problem. He even showed her some new shortcuts and tricks.
"Sometimes the answer is in the question you just have to follow these.." he said as he wrote down new instructions for her. "And you'll ace your test." He told her with a smile while sliding the note book back to her.
"Thank you." Kiara smiled, she beamed like a little kid once they learned how to ride their bike with no training wheels.
"No problem, thank you for coming to my TED talk." The young man joked causing Kiara to chuckle a bit.
"What's your name?" She asked him as he began to stand from his seat.
"Darien. How about you?" He asked.
"Kiara."
"Nice to meet you." Darien put his hand out for her to shake,

"You too." Kiara said shaking his hand.
"I hope you use the steps wisely and pass your test." He said with a smile as he walked over to the table he was at and putting on his coat and backpack.
"What you mean wisely? They're just notes." Kiara laughed.
"Just use them." He grinned and shook e his head as he walked off. Once he was out of the area Kiara opened her notebook seeing
Kiara read the phone number and note Darrien left. She thought of when he could've written it and thought maybe it was when she went to get something to drink. She thought that was pretty smooth of him to do. She typed the number into her phone and texted the number.
👏🏾👏🏾
😂👏🏾👏🏾
Kiara shook her head at his response and locked her phone. Gathering her things and heading out. She had photos to edit and get back hoke because Troy wanted to have a game night with Kiara and his girlfriend. Kiara hasn't officially met her but she's heard them on the phone and being the bestie she was she was ode and talked to her from over the phone, she seemed really nice and she could tell that Troy really took an interest to the young women.
Kiara called herself a Uber because she left here metrocard at home. Once her ride arrived she texted Troy and told him she was on her way. As she sat she texted away and responded to some dm's on her business account. As she did so her phone rang interrupting her, showing the unsaved but familiar phone number.
"Hello?" Kiara answered.
"Hey Kiara, this is Khari Francois. I really enjoyed your work the other day at the magazine. Your photos are amazing and so is your work and professionalism. I was calling to let you know that me and the rest of the staff would love to have you join our team, would you like the position as our new head photographer?" Khari asked.
Kiara mutes herself for a minute and danced and sang in her seat.
"Thank you god! Granny this is all you!" She sang. She took herself off of mute and answered spoke professionally.
"Yes. I would love to. When do I start?" She asked.
"Monday morning. We'll have a meeting and discuss your salary and company rules and such."
"Great. Thank you." With that the two hung up.
"Good news?" Kiara's Uber driver asked.
"Yes. New job." She said going to her and Karla's messages.
"Good luck." Her Uber driver said as the pulled up to Kiara's home.
Kiara thanked the man and stepped out of the car. As she closed the door she scanned her surroundings as usual and then began walking across the street to her home. She began to walk up the stairs to her granny's old home, next seeing a white paper on the door.. "Eviction Notice." It read. Kiara snatched the paper down and barged into the apartment seeing nothing but beer cans, alcohol bottles and Dutch wrappers. As she walked deeper into the small home she saw needles and women's clothing on the floors of her old bedroom and granny's old bedroom. She quickly grabbed a bag and got the rest of the little bit of stuff she had left, jetted out of the apartment before her uncle appeared. She hasn't seen him since her granny was announced deceased and she was happy she hasn't seen him. She hoped that he was as fucked up in the head fo not even show up to her granny's service.
Kiara walked out of the Harlem apartment and crossed the street to go to Troy's house. She took out her key and walked in seeing him on the couch with his girlfriend Julia.
"Hey Kiara, nice to finally meet you." Julia beamed, with arms open for Kiara to hug her. Julia was a hugger, she was very affectionate.
"Hi." Kiara smiled back at the small mocha women hugging her. "Nice to meet you too Julia..."

Acting quickly, General Tarvish works to find Hefty and uncover the Brown’s Stadium plot. Hefty finds a way to bomb the stadium, using an order that the president enacted putting all combat planes: no matter where over the US, had to be fully loaded and ready for war. Tarvish didn’t plan this into his counter measure. Hefty has set up ambushes against the Caliphate of ISIS… but the joke turns on him when he forgets to delete his code, and his terror attack on Brown’s Stadium goes off. Hefty’s location goes live, and an air campaign against the Caliphate starts. The US President angrily tries to drop a nuclear bomb on Hefty and the Caliphate. Tarvish kills the President before he can order the attack. The King flees by truck into the desert, but brings his cyber weapon: Hefty. Fed up, unafraid, and frankly pissed off, Hefty grows some balls and kills everyone in the car, giving the King his just reward, and careening down a mountain in the process.
