This is gonna hurt,

I know,

I know that it'll take me forever to be an open book,

to wear my heart on my sleeve.

To be the person I wanna be.

It's gonna hurt,

But most importantly it's gonna take time.

It's gonna take time to pick up this baggage you left outside

to fold it up and set it neatly inside.

To bring it in and clean it up.

It's going to take time,

time to recognize that I'm going to be alright

and so are you

with each passing day,

this thing you tell yourself will slowly become true,

though

this process is not a straight line,

there's going to be ups and down,

sometimes it's going to more messy than others.

But, please

be patient and

most importantly give yourself time.

Step back and stop wondering "why?"

stop wondering why it's taking yourself so long,

Instead trust the wave that you came in on.

Sure, this is gonna hurt but in the end. .
