《Poetry; Sure It May Hurt》Poisonous Lies

Your lies consume me

You see how they hurt me.

You say you only speak the truth but I know a different story. One full of pain, agony, and beauty.

Your eyes they tell a story.

How you've betrayed everybody.

Thoughtless, emotionless words that we'd take in and breathe out again, like second-hand nature.

We didn't know it was so poisonous until

It created pollution.

Everywhere you'd look

There it was in all its hideous glory.

Fogging up the air, condensating the windows of my home.

A home I used to love so, until the poison leaked in.

Reckoning everything, everything in it's path.

Like a weed it grew, it grew and it grew until it soon learned every path every corner, ever nook and cranny in this home.

And finally it just stood there standing.

Growing until those weeds over took everything. Everything in my sight.

I used to hate them, hate them being there, looking at me mischievously, for I knew the reason of them being.

But soon I'd learn to grow being used to them.

Until those weeds and their poison over took every part of me.

I'd soon learn to love them and how they consumed me.
