I'm grateful.
I'm grateful for today.
Even if I may still be hurting some it's kind of a happy pain that I'm feeling.
Like I'm happy for the present but sad for the past.
Though I know there's no point in being sad over it.
I just need to process it.
Process it thoroughly.
Make sure I pick up every bloody shard of glass puncturing this poor body.
To clean and wrap these wounds neatly with all the love and care I can bare to manage.
Don't overthink it.
You'll gain these memories when you are ready.
When your body decides it can handle it. For me this journey is just beginning.
