The cool breeze brushed past your shoulders, covered with a thin white shrug, making you shiver in result.
"Hey Princess," You heard Mark come up behind you.
You instantly took his arms and wrapped it around your arms for warmth.
"Are you cold?" Mark asked you and you nodded yes, pressing your body into him for more heat.
Mark chuckled as you snuggled against him and said,"I told you to wear something warmer."
"I am wearing a jacket," You replied, you voice muffled due to your face being pressed against his chest.
"This," Mark said, gesturing to your shrug,"Is not a jacket. Why did you wear a dress when you know you get cold."
"Because I wanted to look pretty. And everyone wears dresses near the oceanfront." You replied.
"You look pretty in everything," Mark said, playing with the loose strands of your hair.
"You're just saying that because you're blinded by love," You said, looking up to him.
"No I'm not. You really look good in everything,"
"Even when I wake up and my hair is all over the place."
"Especially when you wake up,"
"Even if I wear bright orange eyeshadow and black lipstick?"
Mark paused for a second before replying, "No. You don't look good in orange,"
You let out a little gasp and pulled away from him by hitting him lightly on the chest as he laughed.
"You just said I look good in everything," You say, pretending to be mad.
"Okay...well not everything. Not in orange," Mark said.
"I can't believe you,"You tell him as he intertwines your hands together and the both of you start walking down the little pathway.

The both of you were currently in Thailand for a four day vacation as you were still on your break from work and Mark also had a two week long break. Initially the both of you were going to visit your respective families, with Mark flying out to America, however his parents decided to visit South Korea instead, allowing Mark to stay in Seoul.
So he proposed going away somewhere with only the two of you before they arrived and you agreed.
You had just finished having dinner, and the two of you were walking on the pathway along the beach which eventually led to a pier overlooking the ocean.
As the two of you walked, you filled him onto the gossip of your workplace as you have always done, and Mark listened on quietly, occasionally making comments here and there.
Soon enough, you both were standing on the pier, walking towards the very end of it, your hands still intertwined.
"It's so calm here," You say leaning against the pier once you reach the end of it, listening to the waves crashing against the legs of the pier.
Mark just stared at you sideways, giving you a small smile before asking, "Do you remember when we first met?"
You smiled and said, "You thought I was crazy."
"You yelled and jumped at me," Mark replied
"You looked like my friend from the back!" You exclaimed, defending yourself.
"Do you still hug all of your male friends," Mark asked, his eyes suddenly narrowed.
You rolled you eyes playfully and said, "Are you jealous? You know I hug everyone."
Mark let out a deep breath knowing this was a conversation he would eventually lose. He walked so that he was standing behind you and pushed your hair so that it was on your left shoulder.

"What are you doing?" You asked him, confused. However Mark did not say anything and instead grabbed your wrists and lifted them to your sides so they were horizontally in the air.
"You always say you want to do this whenever you watch Titanic," Mark whispered into your ear.
You were silent for a minute before saying in a quiet voice, "You're missing something"
"What?"
"You should've have played 'My heart will go on'."
As you leaned into Mark, resting your head on his shoulder, you could feel him laugh silently at your suggestion. You closed your eyes, enjoying the cool breeze blowing by and the sound of the ocean below you both. Mark also grew silent, bringing both of your arms down to your front, and crossing them against your stomach so that he was hugging you from the back.
More than a minute passed by before Mark spoke, "I'm so glad you jumped on me that day,"
"Yeah?" You responded and he pressed a tiny kiss on the nape of your neck.
"Because then I wouldn't be doing this," He said before taking a step back and making you turn around to face him.
You looked at him, confused, as he bent down on one knee and held out your left hand. Mark took something out of his pocket to reveal a silver ring with a diamond on top.
You let out a little gasp, predicting what was to come next.
"Marry me," Mark said, his eyes filled with love, "I'll always love you and take care of you,"
You stared at him in shock, your eyes getting watery, as you never ever expected Mark to propose to you.
You smiled, knowing that there was only one answer.
"Yes."

In the shadows, Ardalian rebels successfully unlock an ancient magical gate. Their desire? A soldier, immutable, unstoppable, and enslaved. Eli Stuart and his fiancee Patricia Secord find themselves thrown into a strange world. Trapped in a land of hostile magic and alien politics, the two of them must use their newfound powers to make alliances, stop their enemies, and ultimately reunite. However, something goes wrong. In this chaos, as the world begins to unravel in foul ways, something else stirs. Something else found its way through. Author's Note: I will update this story as often as I can. I am quite busy and write this during breaks at work. This is one of those goon-squad stories with a million characters, so "dizzying" might be a good way to describe the energy. Much of what builds up to the first arc happens in the first ten chapters, which are quite long. For that reason, if you have difficulty getting through the story, I understand, though things don't really start happening until Chapter 8-10.
