《Got7 Imagines》Jinyoung - Candy

"Annyeonghaseyo"
You look up from your desk to see Jinyoung staring down at you. You worked at the front office desk at JYP entertainment, and although it may not seem much, sometimes the workload could become overbearing. You mainly handled phone calls regarding schedules and sorting out emails for the four divisions of the company, as well as sending emails to different variety shows.
You've been at JYP for two years by now, becoming on friendly greeting terms with most of the artists, staff and the trainees here. Being at the front desk may mean arriving the earliest and leaving the latest sometimes, however you didn't mind because it allowed you to know pretty much everyone in the company, something you secretly prided on.
"Annyeonghaseyo," You smile at him and gave him a little bow, standing up.
"Annyeonghaseyo Jinyoung-shi," Your co-worker greets from beside you as she slips into her seat.
Jinyoung gaves her a smile and says, "Annyeonghaseyo,"
Jinyoung reaches out to behind the counter and grabs a candy from the basket of candies you kept on the desk for yourself, your eyes following his arm.
"Have a great day, Y/N-shi," Jinyoung said.
"You too," You say, but Jinyoung has already walked away towards the elevator.
You sit back down with a sigh and turn around in your chair, only to see your co-worker smirking at you with her arms closed against her chest.
"What?" You asked her, feeling uncomfortable under her gaze as you reached for your iced coffee from the counter.
"You're so obivious, " She stated.
"What?" You repeated, taking a sip of your coffee.
She leaned on the counter and said, "You so like him,"
You swallow at your coffee, frowning at the bitterness, saying, " No I don't,"
"Yes you do," She says, and you ignore her, getting up from you chair to find sugar you could put in your coffee. Seeing as she got no response from you, she proceeded on, "Also, you let him eat your special candies which you don't even let anyone touch,"
You were about to reply back with something that probably wouldn't have saved your case, when the desk phone rang, grabbing your attention.

You thanked the gods for whoever it was for saving you and tended to the phone as your another front desk attendant came in, forcing your co-worker to return to her work as well.

You look up from your phone to see the elevator opening its door. Thinking you have reached your destination, you almost leave but immediately realize that the elevator has stopped at the 6th floor and you still had to go up to the tenth floor.
Nayeon from Twice walks in and greets you. You put away your phone and greet her as well. The two of you strike a simple conversation while riding the elevator.

The elevator bell ringed, indicating they had reached their floor. When both you and Nayeon are existing the elevator to go to the JYP cafeterias, she asks you, "Hey how did your blind date go by the way?"
You thought for a moment before replying, "It was okay. He was very funny. But I don't think he's that interested in me romantically. Honestly, I'm not that attracted to him either, but I think he'd be a good friend,"
Nayeon hums in response and you both walk into the cafeteria.
Nearly six hours later and you're packing your back, ready to return home. You look at the digital clock on your table, which reads a little past seven. By the time you will reach your apartment, it will nearly be eight and it there is a lot of traffic, which there probably is, it will take even longer.
You quickly decide to grab ramen and instant rice from the convenience store, feeling too tired to actually cook something.
Walking over to the bus stop, you wait there for about five minutes before the bus arrives, ready to take you home. You spend your thirty minutes on the bus either going through social media or staring outside the window of the bus, just looking at the daily hectic life of Seoul.
When you get off at your stop, you start heading towards the direction of your home, which is about five hundred meters away. You stop at the convenience store on your way, grabbing your dinner.
You're at the cashier, paying for your money when someone calls your name, "Y/N-shi?"

You turn to your left to see Jinyoung standing in the entrance of the the store.
"Jinyoung-shi?" You say, making it come out as a question because you were pretty sure that he did not live around here.
"What are you doing?" He asked you.
"I'm just getting some food."You say, gesturing towards the food which the cashier was putting in a carry bag.
Jinyoung scratched his head and said, "I'm getting some food too...and if you don't mind, I kind of don't want to eat alone,"
You slowly nod you head, understanding what he is gesturing to. Ten minutes later, you both are seated on the bench outside the convenience store, eating your dinners.
"If you don't mind me asking," You say and Jinyoung nods for you to continue, "What are you doing in this neighborhood,"
"I was visiting a friend," Jinyoung says after swallowing his food.
"Did you eat there?" You asked out of curiosity.
Jinyoung was silent for a while before saying, " I did,"
You frowned, confused, "Then why are you eating now?"
Jinyoung swallowed a lump and diverted your eyes, "I was hungry again, " He stated.
A comfortable silence stretched over the both of you as you finished your dinners, saying a few things here and there. You got away to throw both of your thrashes away and when you came back, Jinyoung asked you, " How was your blind date?"
Taken aback by his question, you freeze and say, "What?"
"How was your blind date?" Jinyoung repeated.
You titled your head slightly and narrowed your eyes. "How did you know I had a blind date?" You asked skeptically.
"I heard you and Nayeon talking about it today when you were leaving the elevator," Jinyoung replies with a blank face, "I never got to hear your answer. How was it?"
You slowly sit back on the bench and hesitantly say, "It was nice...but I don't see it happening again,"
You look at Jinyoung who is staring back at you. Suddenly a huge smile breaks out onto his face and he asks you, "Do you want ice-cream?"
Confused at his sudden change in mood, you just sit there baffled. Before you could even reply, Jinyoung has stood up from his seat and is quick to grab your hand, making you stand up as well.
"Let's go," He says.
"Where are we going?" You ask, baffled.
"To eat ice-cream. My car is near, we can go in that." He says.
"But it's late," You protest, "And won't people recognize you?"
Jinyoung stops in his footsteps and turns to face you. His grip on your wrist is so light that you nearly forget he is holding you.
"Do you trust me?" Jinyoung asks and when he receives no reply from you, he repeats again, "Do you trust me?"
You slowly nod your head yes. You got a feeling that there was a much deeper meaning behind Jinyoung's words and somehow you trusted him with everything even if you didn't know him much.
"Can I tell you something? I really don't like the orange candies you keep on your counter," Jinyoung says and seeing your shocked and betrayed look he continues, "But I had to eat them everyday if I wanted to talk to you."
Jinyoung is staring into your eyes and you don't know what to do. You are shocked and surprised at his confession and can't help the blush from creeping into your cheeks. You were just grateful it was dark so he couldn't see you looking like a tomato and change his mind.
"And I'm glad your date didn't work out, because I don't want anyone with you. I don't care if people see us because I will be here to protect you," Jinyoung softly says, and you were pretty sure he could hear your heart beating as fast as the speed of light.
"Say something," Jinyoung whispers, feeling himself growing anxious at your silence.
Instead, you stand on your tiptoes and quickly kiss his lips before moving away. Jinyoung looks suprised at your actions but quickly recovers and pulls you up to kiss you again, this time longer and softer.
When the both of you break apart this time, Jinyoung keeps your faces still say relatively close so that you could feel your breaths on each other.
"Do you still want ice-cream? Cause I'm kind of full and I was just using it to spend more time with you," Jinyoung says and you can't help but laugh at him.
Jinyoung starts laughing with you and pulls you in for a hug.
