Three Months Later
"Jinyoung, your phone's ringing."
"Oh right, can I take this?"
"Go ahead."
"Thank you, baby. I'll make it quick." He smiles and pulls me in, kissing the side of my head gently.
"It's okay, take your time." I catch his hand, placing a quick peck on his lips.
He smiles and stands from the couch, picking his phone up from the coffee table and walks to the backroom.
I sigh in content, happy with myself. I'm currently in Japan, staying with Jinyoung in his small house he's renting.
After the whole situation with Mark, I went back to Jaebum's place and waited for him to return.
Once he finally got back from Daegu, I demanded the truth. I asked him to explain everything he and the others have been keeping from me.
Jaebum confessed to how they're all in a gang called, Got7. That's why he was working as a cop at first, so he could keep them off his members trail while they did their missions.
Jaebum said, that their reason for lying about their ages was because something was going on in the high-school that involved another gang.
Their headquarters asked Jaebum to send a few of his members to check it out. That's why Mark and Jackson attended the high-school even though they already graduated.
Bambam and Yugyeom on the other hand, are still seventeen and haven't finished high-school, yet.
After going to that school for two years, the gang that was involved with suspicious activity was, (G)-Idle.
(G)-Idle is the gang Soyeon is apart of. I always thought she was messing around and wanted me to join her friend group. I never thought she was in an actual gang.
Jaebum revealed Kai and Baekhyun are also apart of the gang, Exo. That's why they both share the same tattoo.
He said that Exo used to work for Got7 when they were in their lower ranking. But after completing so many missions, Exo became on the same level as Got7. Their leader, Suho, refused to let his members do anymore jobs for Got7 after that.
I asked Jaebum to tell me about the stuff that involved Jinyoung and why they became so distant. He was hesitant about telling me, but he did anyways.
The drama all started with Jinyoung's father. Three years ago, Jinyoung and Yugyeom were the closest among all the members.
One day over the summer, Jinyoung begin walking to Yugyeom's house, wanting to hang out.
Upon reaching Yugyeom's home, Jinyoung walked inside only to be welcomed by his father's cold lifeless body on the floor.
He saw how Yugyeom's dad held a pistol in his hand and Yugyeom stood over the dead body with blood splattered across his face. Jinyoung couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was so shocked that he could barely move.
Jinyoung couldn't stand looking at Yugyeom's face anymore. That's why he left to Busan when he was only in eleventh grade.
I was a freshman in high-school when Namjoon introduced me to him. That's how we got so close and eventually started dating.
But after finally being told the truth, I needed a break. So, I took off to Tokyo Japan, deciding to stay with Youngjae for the summer.
I was originally only suppose to stay for two weeks. It was for my mother's funeral, but I didn't want Youngjae to be alone during that sad time.
While hanging out one day, we bumped into Jinyoung who also happened to be staying in Japan as well.
Jinyoung and I began spending more time together and he became good friends with Youngjae again.

After about a month, Jinyoung asked me to be his girlfriend. I obviously said, yes, after catching feelings for him once again.
Ther were times where I did wonder how Yugyeom and Mark would feel about this, but I pushed those negative thoughts away.
I want to stay as happy for as long as I can before I have to go back to Seoul for my last year of high-school.
I glance up, watching as Jinyoung walks out from the back-room after finishing his phone-call.
He stops in-front of me and stares down at me with a blank expression while I sat on the couch, "You have the extra house key I gave you, right?"
"House key?"
"Why? Did you lose your keys?" I ask, turning my body to look through my purse.
I pull out the key he gave to me, since I've been staying over at his place a lot.
I rise to my feet and hand the key to him with a smile, "Here."
He holds his hand out in-front of him and stares at the small key in his hand. He sighs and slides it into the front pocket of his jeans.
I was confused to why he's being so quiet. His aura seems different after the phone-call, but I'm not sure why.
"..Let's end it here.."
"Huh?" I stare up at him, not processing what he meant, "..you want to break up?"
He remains silent and turns to walk out of his house. I follow after him, not comprehending what was happening.
"Park Jinyoung.."
"Go." He states, blatantly.
I stand beside him with furrowed brows as he barely even acknowledge my presence.
"What are you doing?" I scoff.
I want to believe that he's just messing with me, but he stays quiet with an expressionless face.
I move to stand in-front of him and grab his hand, "We just went on a date to the movies today."
"..we came home and ate together, and slept together." I continue, trying to figure out why he would want to break-up so suddenly.
We were laughing and having a good time just a couple of minutes ago. I don't know what went wrong.
"What's making you act like this?" I ask, persisting on an answer.
I'm sure that whoever he was talking to on the phone has something to do with his change in demeanor.
"What don't you get?" He questions in an arrogant tone, removing my hand from his, "I'm dumping you."
"Stop it!" I holler, feeling frustrated.
"Tell me the real reason!" I command.
"What reasons does a person need for their feelings to change?" He asks simply.
His brows raise while holding a smug half-smile on his face as if he couldn't care less about my feelings.
"I've seen that expression before." I sigh, "It's forced.
"You look like that when you say things you don't mean. When you become closed-minded."
"Just tell me, why do you insist on being so cruel?" I question once again, more calm than the last time.
"Wow, you've gotten so much confidence out of nowhere." He's speaks in amusement and continues, "I'm breaking up with you, Y/n."
He repeats and I swallow hard, feeling a lump in my throat as I try to keep my tears in. It felt like my heart was breaking all over again.
"Why? Did you think you were special or different?" He asks in a cocky tone, tilting his head to the side.

The way he said it reminded me a lot like something Kai would do to make me upset.
"Don't you remember, Hwang Youngji?" He questions, coyly.
Hwang Youngji is Yeji's older sister that Jinyoung got together with after we broke up for the first time when we still lived in Busan.
He played with her feelings, like she was a toy and then he dumped her just to see how she'd react.
I didn't find out about it until Jinyoung had gotten back together with me, but at that time I didn't care.
Youngji wasn't really the nicest person. She was never a good sister to Yeji, so I wasn't bothered if she got hurt or not.
"I'm doing the same thing to you." He says, quirking an eyebrow.
I push him back by the chest, angrily after hearing his statement, "Stop!"
"You're the one who can't even admit to how you're feeling! How dare you compare me with her!" I shout and my voice broke.
I couldn't believe he would put me on such a low level with someone like Youngji.
This wasn't Jinyoung, he's never acted like this towards me before. He's never been so mean and heartless.
I stomp inside his place and grab my stuff after realizing he was just toying with me this whole time.
As I walk back out, I stop to say one last thing, "..you know, I thought this time would be different. That we could actually be happy together for once, but I was so wrong."
"Maybe, Yugyeom was right to call you an asshole." I scoff, seeing he had nothing else to say.
I brush past him without saying another word. What I happened to not notice was how his expression fell as soon as I left.
He let out a deep breath and stood there with his jaw clenched. He seemed almost as hurt as I was, like he didn't want to break-up with me, but he had to.
Sadly, I'm not gonna find out the real reason why for quite some time.

"Y/n?"
"Hi, dad." I greet him nervously, "I'm back!"
After Jinyoung broke up with me, I went back to Youngjae's apartment and explained to him what happened.
I told him how I need to go back to Seoul, since school would be starting in a few days. He booked me a flight the next afternoon, paying for everything.
"Come in!" My dad says happily, opening the door wider.
I smile lightly, dragging my suitcase in behind me. I finally moved out of Jaebum's for good and now I'm gonna be staying with my dad.
Obviously, I knew Kai would be staying here as well, but I want to actually live with one of my parents again.
They already had all my stuff set up, so when I came back from my vacation I could just settle down and relax.
I wasn't excited about the, living with Kai part, but I'll try my best to get along with him.
I look over and see Naeun coming down the stairs in her PJ's as I accidentally woken them up from their sleep.
"Hi, honey, how was your trip?" She asks, enveloping me into a tight hug.
"It was good..for the most part." I give a fake smile, trying to hide my bitterness Jinyoung caused.
"How's Youngjae doing?" Dad asks as he wasn't able to visit him.
He wanted to come for the funeral, but it was the same week that his honeymoon was booked. They had already pre-paid for it, so they weren't able to reschedule it.
"He's fine, just a little sad."
"I'm really sorry we couldn't go, I wish we were able to." He apologizes and I just shake my head.
"It's okay, it was really sad anyways. Everyone was practically crying the whole time." I brush it off, trying to lighten the mood.
"Well, I'm glad you're back safe and sound." Naeun smiles in relief and I nod.
"Me too."
"Hey, and now that you're living with us, Kai will be able to drive you to school everyday. I'm sure you both will get along well." She states in a cheerful tone and I had to stop myself from laughing out loud.
"..Oh, I'm sure." I lie, snickering a bit.
"We're back!"
I turn around to see where the loud and obnoxious voice came from.
"Speak of the devil, here he is." Naeun says, watching as her son and nephew burst into the house.
"We brought pizza—" Baekhyun starts, but gets cut off by the sight of me, "Y/n, you're back?"
"Yep, I am." I smile, kind of happy to see him.
"Well, we'll let you three catch up." My father says, and grabs his wife's hand, "Goodnight, Y/n."
"Goodnight."
I watch as they walk back up the stairs together and disappear into the long hallway.
"So, what've you boys been up to?" I ask, taking the box of pizza out of Baekhyun's hand.
I walk over to the large couch in the living-room and sit down. As I was placing the pizza box on the coffee table, I look up to see both boys in a daze.
"Yah! Answer my question, assholes." I demand, throwing a couch-pillow at Kai's face.
He stares at me in disbelief, not expecting me to be here right now. Especially, not acting so friendly towards them.
"Oh, my bad." He laughs awkwardly, catching the pillow before it fell to the floor.
I take a slice of pizza out of the box and lean back on the couch, getting comfortable.
"We haven't really done much." He answers, walking over and sitting down beside me.
"..aren't you suppose to be mad at us?" Baekhyun asks, referring to the Yugyeom situation and he sits on the other side of me.
"Nah, I'm over it. I don't hold grudges for long." I beam, shoving his shoulder playfully.
"You seemed pretty mad about it a few months ago." Kai reminds and I just shrug it off.
"Doesn't mean I have to be mad at you guys forever." I say, watching as Baekhyun also grabs a slice of the pizza, "And besides, I want us to become friends. I don't want to fight with you anymore."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"Y/n, I'm sorry for messing with you all that time." Kai apologizes, "And for doing it when you just found out your mom died."
"You're good, and like I said..I'm already over it." I brush it off like it's nothing.
"Since you're back, are you gonna stay here for good?" Baekhyun questions and I just nod.
"Yeah, Japan was good, but this is my home now." I speak coyly and he just smiles innocently.
"I'm glad."
"That's cute, I'm glad you're glad." I grin.
"Alright, that's enough flirting." Kai interrupts and I just laugh lightly.
"Anways," I stand up and stretch after finishing my pizza slice, "It was good catching up with you both, but I'm pretty jet-lagged."
"Oh yeah, you should probably go to sleep." Kai says, trying to shoo me off.
"Goodnight, boys." I state modestly before heading up the stairs.
I enter my new room, noticing everything was set up the way I like it and all my things were moved out of Jaebum's house.
I change into more comfortable clothes, throwing the dirty ones in the corner of the room.
I sit down on my new bed and get all comfy in the sheets. That's when I glance down at my chest and remember about the necklace I'm wearing.
It was the locket Jinyoung gave to me over a year ago. I never thought I would ever wear it again, that was until Jinyoung and I started dating.
I let out a deep sign and reach behind my neck to unhook it. I stare at it sadly before leaning over and grabbing the little box it my dresser.
I carefully place it in the black box, still not believing Jinyoung broke up with me yesterday.
I bite my bottom lip, not understanding why things had to end in such a bad way. I put the small box back into the drawer and close it.
"You stupid asshole..I still love you."

"Oh my God! Y/n, is that really you?"
"No, Jennie, it's just my ghost form." I speak sarcastically as we stood in the middle of the school hallway, "Yes, it's really me."
"I can't believe it, we thought you were never coming back." Jisoo states, giving me a big hug.
"How come?" I pout as she pulls away.
"..Bambam told us that you and Mark got into a fight so we just assumed—"
"Assumed what? I would just run away because of a petty argument." I answer for her, "Of course I'd come back."
"My turn." Jennie states, giving me a her hug.
"Damn bitch." She says and pulls away, "Does your diet only consist of water and air? You are so skinny, now."
"Really?" I smile and she nods, "I should become a model, then."
"Oh! Did I tell you?" Jisoo asks all of I sudden and I shake my head.
"Tell me what?"
"Bambam and I are dating now!" She squeals and my eyes widen.
"No! Foreal?!"
"Yes, and he has been so sweet to me." She grins joyfully.
"I'm so happy for you! I knew you two would date eventually." I reveal, beaming with excitement.
"You and Jackson are still together, right?" I ask, turning to Jennie.
"Yeah, but.."
"But what?"
"He left to Hong Kong." She admits and I furrow my brows.
"He left?"
"He graduated already, and he wanted to go back and visit his parents." She informs sadly, having to deal with long-distance now.
"Mark left, too." Jisoo adds and I blink in surprise.
"..wha—Why?" I question in confusion. I didn't think he'd leave Seoul as well.
"Bambam said it was because he and Victoria officially started dating, so he moved to France to live with her." She explains and I was left in shock.
Yes, I was angry at him for lying to me, but I didn't think he would just leave. It's partially my fault, because I lied to him, too.
Three Months Ago
"Mark! Go and tell Yugyeom it's not true. Tell him it was a joke!"
I stomp over to Mark as I finally made it to his neighborhood. I was confronting him for telling Yugyeom that I chose him instead of Mark, which was not true.
After finding out about their lies, I wasn't going to choose either one. I didn't want to talk to them for a while.
Mark stops in his tracks and turns around to stare at me with a blank expression.
"Do you have any idea what you've done?" I ask in frustration, "It may be all fun and games to you, but to me.."
"Just tell him it's not true." I command.
He clicks his tongue, letting out a huff, "Okay."
He pulls his phone out of his pocket and goes to his contacts.
"It's not true, I was just joking. I told him because I love you so much. I thought I would be able to forget you this way." He reads his text out loud while typing it and I frown.
"What the hell are you saying?!" I rush over to him and snatch his phone, but he already sent the text.
Suddenly, my phone beeps, letting me know I just received a notification. I open it and see that it was the same text from Mark.
I slowly look back up at him, not getting his motive. He just takes his phone back and slides it into his pocket again.
"I think I understand you now." I state, gazing at him with my cold eyes.
"Is that so?"
"You're such a pitiful human being. That when everyone's mad at you, you can't help but start toying with other people's lives." I scold, feeling irritated.
"I thought that's what you wanted. You said you were going to choose, so I thought I'd make the choice easier for you." He explains, making me scoff.
"I didn't ask you do to that! You're only making things worse for you." I state angrily.
He laughs lightly, and I could tell he wasn't taking me seriously. He wanted to turn himself into the bad guy.
"Sorry." He apologizes, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Choi Y/n." He smiles arrogantly, "Do you know why you're so angry to the point that you're about to burst?"
I remain silent, waiting for him to answer his own question as I was too annoyed to say anything.
"Because you fully know that I was being truthful in what I said in that text." He says and I furrow my brows.
"Tell me something." He states and I gaze at him with a poker face.
"Have you not thought about me?"
"No." I lie, shaking my head.
"Did you not miss me and want to see me when I left?"
"No."
"You weren't happy when we officially became friends on that rooftop?"
"No."
"Are you positively sure, that you have no feelings towards me?" He asks his final question, taking a step closer.
I swallow the hard lump in my throat, making eye-contact with him. He was so close to me, and I wanted to be honest, but I was still hurt from the night of the wedding.
I glance back down at his chest, not being able to look him in the eye as I lie to him.
"..no.."
