This is a long chapter
sorry (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

After our emotional discussion, Yugyeom had to leave early. I asked him why, but he wouldn't tell me. He just said it was urgent and he needed to meet up with Mark.
So now I'm walking back home by myself. It wasn't that far a walk as Jaebum's house is only 15 minutes away from the park.
Soon, I began walking through the neighborhood that was near Jaebum's house. It also happens to be where Jungkook and his dad lives.
I slung my arms back and forth while watching my feet as they drag against the hard gravel. But I came to a quick halt once I spotted another pair of feet about four yards in front of me.
I slowly raise my head to look up and realize those pair of feet belonged to Jungkook. He didn't seem to notice me at first until I let out a big huff.
He turns his gaze over to my direction and his eyebrow twitches in despair. I didn't want to talk to him and he knew that. I'm the one who told him to stay away, so I knew he wasn't going to say anything to me. But I knew something was up as he didn't have his usual cheerful expression.
"What's wrong? Why are you out here all alone?" I ask with a tired sigh.
His shoulders slump at my questions and he remains silent. I noticed his brows were slanted. He just seemed lifeless, he didn't look okay at all.
He had dark circles under his eyes and his hair was messy, like it was all scrunched it up because of stress.
"What is it? Just tell me." I state, wanting to know why he's acting all depressed.
I could see his eyes start to water and he open his mouth to speak.
"My dad...died."
I froze at his words. I was completely taken off guard. I had forgotten about his father's car crash.
"..oh.." I blink in surprise.
I hesitantly walk up to him and wrap my arms around his neck. I stood on my toes to reach his height as he wraps his arms around my waist tightly.
He squeezes me against him and he buries his face in the crook of my neck. I could feel his hot tears spilling against my skin as he cries silently.
"..Jungkook..I'm sorry."
He didn't say anything, just held me tighter. My brows contort together, I felt so bad for him. I never thought something like this would happen to him.
I pet his hair gently, trying to comfort him and he just lets out an almost silent sigh. I could feel his pain, but all I could do was try my best to help him feel better.
"you're gonna be okay–"
"Y/n..please forgive me." He says in a sorrowful voice, practically begging.
I flinch at the desperateness in his words. I want to forgive him, but it's only been a few hours since I found out about his secret.
"I'm all alone here. I can't go back to Busan, my mom disowned me. You're all I have left." He says, and his voice breaks at the end.
I didn't know what to say, I just stood there silently stroking his hair.
"Okay."
"..I forgive you."
but I won't forget.

"Jisoo! Y/n! Wait for me!"
Jisoo links her arm around mine while we were speed walking down the corner. I couldn't stop laughing after finding out about Jennie and Jackson's relationship. I assumed they would start dating sooner or later. I noticed how close they gotten after the night of the fair.
Jisoo and I caught them kissing in the classroom and we couldn't stop teasing Jennie.
Jisoo made a kissy face at me and I wrapped my arms around her waist playfully as we continued to mock Jennie.
I would have bothered Jackson about it too, but he quickly left with Bambam to save himself from embarrassment. So Jennie was stuck with us.
"Hey! Stop that!" Jennie whines and pushes us apart.
"Stop what?" Jisoo raises an eyebrow at me. I snickered lightly and Jennie started pouting.
"Stop teasing me!" She complains, stomping her foot like a child.
"You should be thankful that we're teasing you..it means we approve of your relationship." I inform, coyly.
"You're so cute when you're angry." Jisoo laughs, patting the top of Jennie's head.
"I hate you guys." She slaps Jisoo's arm away. Jennie crosses her arms over her chest and glared at us.
"Oh, come on. You know you love us." I state with a grin and Jisoo nods her head, happily agreeing.
Jennie's lips twitched upward as she tried to stop herself from smiling. But it didn't work, her gummy smile was displayed which made her look so innocent.
"Let's just go to lunch." She rolls her eyes, blithely. She turns around and marches off to the cafeteria with Jisoo and I following behind.
"Hi, Y/n!"
I look up once entering the lunchroom after hearing someone say my name.
It was that girl called Lisa that I just recently got close with since she's also one the cheer-team.
"Oh, hi Lisa! Where's Chaeyoung?" I ask with a smile on my face. I watch as Jennie and Jisoo walk away to go and find a table to sit at.
"She's caught a cold and won't be back until next week." She explains with a slight frown on her face.
"Aw, I hope she feels better soon." I say with a small pout, feeling bad for Chaeyoung.
"Yeah, me too."
"Anyways, I'll see you at cheer-practice." I state positively and head over to where Jennie and Jisoo were sitting.
"Aye! Bambam, what's up my guy? Dab me up!" I almost holler once seeing Bambam walk over at the same time as me.
I dab him up in an aggressive manner and he just laughs, very confused with my sudden burst of energy.
I sat down beside Jisoo who was on my right and my left side was unoccupied.
Jennie and Jackson sat across from us on the other side. I smirk at them creepily raising an eyebrow in a provocative way. They began to feel uncomfortable under my gaze. I just laugh knowing they were gonna end up doing something dirty again sooner or later.
"Y/n, if you don't stop staring at us with that creepy gaze, I'm gonna send all my ugly photos of you around the school." Jennie threatens and I gasp dramatically.
"you wouldn't." I point a finger at her, calling her bluff.
"I would."
"Fine, I'll stop if someone goes into the lunch line to buy me some banana milk." I state presumptuously.
Everyone looks over at Bambam, waiting for him to say he'll do it. He freezes, realizing all our eyes were on him.
"Why do I have to do it? Why can't you buy your own drink?" He complains like a child.
"I don't have any money and you're rich!" I exclaim and he just sighs, pushing himself to stand.
"While you're up there, can you get me some chips?" Jisoo questions innocently.
"Only because I'm nice, but you both owe me." He points at the both of us before walking into the line.
Jisoo and I began to giggle at his quick cooperation. It was cute.
I eventually begin to zone out as I played with my fingers. Jisoo, Jennie, and Jackson were talking about something, I didn't know what since I wasn't paying attention.
I was just thinking about how I'm happy Jackson and Bambam finally stopped avoiding me about a week ago.
Bambam comes back over and hands Jisoo a small bag of potato chips. He pokes a straw into the banana milk and gives it to me. A small thanks escaped from my lips and I began to sip on the delicious drink.
My mind went straight to Jungkook as he also enjoyed banana milk as much as me. I was worried for him, he hasn't been to school since his dad passed away.
I knew he still mourning, I just missed him. He was the person I talked to the most since he moved here. I missed his presence and his protection. Kai still bothers me now that Jungkook hasn't been coming to school, but it's not as bad as it used to be. For some reason, Baekhyun stops him from messing with me. It's probably because he thinks he owes me after helping him out when he was being beaten by Yugyeom.
I also missed Yugyeom and Mark's company. I miss our little table we used to sit at. Yugyeom, Mark, Bambam, Jackson, Jennie, Jisoo, Momo, and me.
"...yes!"
"...dance competition...."
I look up after hearing in on their conversation. I furrow my brows in confusion.
"What're you guys talking about?"
"There's this dance competition that will be held on the last week of school." Jackson states with a bright expression.
"If the judges think you're talented enough, you will be able to take their new dance class." Bambam says while stealing some of Jisoo's chips.
"This school has a dance class?" I question, never noticing it before.
"No, that's why Bambam said new. It's a class that will only be added for next year and if your good enough, you'll be put into it." Jisoo explains, clearing things up.
"ohh." I laugh, feeling a little dumb.
"Are you guys joining the competition?"
"I'm not, but they are." Jackson replies and I tilt my head to the side, curiosity taking over.
"Why not?"
"I-I just don't want to." He stutters.
I began thinking, is it because he doesn't want to, or that he can't?
"Could I possibly join?" I ask them hesitantly. I did like to dance every once in a while. I wasn't the best at it, but I was pretty decent. Especially after Hoseok taught me a lot about it back in Busan.
"Of course! You can even join our group or go solo, it's up to you." Jennie says, happily obliging.
I nod firmly with a stupid grin on my face.
"I'll let you know."

I had my phone in my hand, scrolling through tik tok as I walked out the school building. It was finally Friday and school was over for the week, which was a big relief. I was so ready for summer.
I just have to get through these next couple of weeks and then freedom!
Ding!
I look at the notification I just received. It was a text from Yugyeom.

I slid my phone in my back pocket and look up. I was startled to see Jaebum in-front of me.
"Oh God! You scared me." I sigh in relief, putting my hand over my chest. He didn't say anything and had a small grin on his face.
"What's with that face? and did you walk here?" I question pointing to where he came from.
I took my water bottle out from my bag and took a sip of it.
"Maybe, but it's because I wanna take you out on a date." He says mischievously and I almost spit my water on him.
"You said what now?!" I exclaim, choking on my drink.
"Not like that." He laughs at my reaction, "I'm talking about a friendly kind of date, y'know something friends do."
"o-oh right, haha." I chuckled nervously and we began walking again.
"Oh! I just remembered! Do you know how to dance?" I question with excitement clear in my voice.
"Yeah, I mean...I'm not the best at it, but I know a few moves." He states not wanting to boast about it.
"Like what?" I ask truly interested.
"I used to do B-boy type dances when I was in high-school." He say casually like it was nothing. I stare at him flabbergasted.
"That's so cool! You must be a great dancer." I state in awe and he scratches the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Who am I kidding? I actually am an amazing dancer." He says with a smug look on his face and I smile, admiring him.
"You're so cute."
Jaebum seemed a bit flustered at my statement and his ears turned a bit red.
"We should hurry before it gets dark, let's go." He says changing the subject and grabs my hand, pulling me down the steps fervently.
"To where?" I laugh, but he doesn't answer.
He ended up bringing me to a food court and after a couple of hours, we were now sitting on one of the benches in the park.
"I forgot to ask, but why did you want to know if I knew how to dance?" He questions.
"I was thinking about joining a dance competition and I was assuming you might be able to help me practice..if you're not busy." I explain, taking a sip of his drink.
"Yeah, I'll help whenever I'm free. When's the competition?"
"It's in May, sometime during the last week of school." I answer joyously. I was excited to start practicing soon.
"That's more than enough time to master the perfect dance then." He smiles at my happy vibes.
"Yep."
"So what's up with you and Yugyeom? You never told me what happened." He asks blatantly and my smile fell.
"–oh..yeah, nothing's really happened." I laugh awkwardly, not really wanting to talk about Yugyeom, "but he is my date to my dad's engagement party."
"Date?" Jaebum questions a bit apprehensively.
"Not romantically or anything, he's just taking me to make sure Kai doesn't do anything to me." I explain, but his brows furrowed.
"Kai? Why is he going?"
"My dad's getting married to his mom." I spoke with disgust. Out of all people why Kai's mom? That's just gross and disturbing. The thought of him becoming my step-brother makes me want to throw myself off a bridge.
"Damn, I feel bad for you." He laughs lightly. I had a feeling there was something he wasn't telling me.
"Yeah, I feel bad for myself too."
The mood suddenly felt kinda gloomy, so I decided to brighten it up.
"Let's go somewhere else!" I state cheerily and stand to my feet.
"Where do you want to go?" He questions, also rising to his feet.
"There's no better way to finish off this friendly date than to go to Han River." I grin, grabbing ahold of his hand innocently.
"Say no more." He says, returning my smile and takes the lead.
Once reaching Han River, I unlink my arm with Jaebum's and tun towards the railing like a little child.
"The view is so pretty over here!" I exclaim as I jump onto the railing and lean forwards to look at all the pretty stars.
"Be careful." Jaebum sighs, walking over to me.
I giggle and turn around to face him, but I slipped. Thankfully, he caught me and pushed me back up to sit steadily at the top of the railing. He held onto my waist to keep me steady.
"Y/n, you should try to be more careful." He says in a stern tone and I just scoff lightly at his protectiveness.
"You should also control your temper better." He states and I rose my lip upper lip in annoyance.
"and you should also.."
I roll my eyes, thinking he was just gonna complain some more. But he took me off guard with his next statement.
"..smile more." He spoke almost silently.
I froze at first, but then I began to grin.
"Okay, then you should smile more too." I state firmly, pinching his cheeks, "Smile~"
"Okay, I get it~" He speaks in an exaggerated tone, mimicking my voice as he pulls my hands away from his face.
His eyes flicker from my lips back up to my eyes again as he starts leaning in closer to my face. I didn't know what he was doing at first, until I realized. He wants to kiss me.
I squeeze my eyes shut once I felt his lips come into contact with mine. I had know idea what I was feeling in this moment as I've never saw Jaebum in a romantic type of way.
He pulls away to see my reaction before going back in for another kiss. I wrap my arms around his neck, leaning against him to keep myself from falling back
While kissing him, I knew deep down that this wasn't right, because the whole time I kept thinking about Yugyeom. And how he would react if he saw Jaebum and I with each other like this.
I take in this last moment together, and pull away quickly before things got too heated.
I jump down from the railing, taking in a deep breath to process what just happened. This just went from a friendly date to us both making-out.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean t—" He tries speaking, but I cut him off.
"I think you should take me home, I don't wanna be late for the engagement party." I state simply.
I stare down at my feet to save myself from the embarrassment of actually looking into his eyes.
"..okay.."
• III •
Jaebum dropped me back off at his place, since, I assume he had to go back to work. The car ride was quiet, but not awkward. I'm guessing we were both too busy thinking about the kiss we shared to say anything.
I know I should have probably pushed him away sooner, but I didn't want to.
I pull my thoughts away from Jaebum and stare at myself in the mirror. The dress I wore was a dark red flowy dress. It was tight around the waist and had a slit going down the leg.
I just finished putting my heels on when I hear the doorbell ring.
I walk down the stairs quickly, trying not to break my neck in the processing by tripping and falling.
I rush to the door and swing it open.
"Hi." I greet, trying not to come off as too nervous.
"Wow.." He mutters under his breath and my lips twitched upwards into a smile, "You look–"
"Beautiful? I know." I interrupt with a grin.
"I was gonna say you look red.." He corrects while rolling his eyes. "But that works too, I guess."
I look down at my outfit and tried to stifle my laugh. The dress was red, my lips were red, and even my nail polish was red.
I glance back at him with a grin, studying his outfit. He looked pretty good as I eyed him from head to toe.
"Yeah well, you're not too bad yourself. We're even matching." I state after noticing his dark red tie.
"Did you just check me out?" He questions playfully.
I could tell he was trying hard not to smile at my words. The corner of his lips curved up a bit before going back down.
"Maybe."
"Well.." He clears his throat awkwardly, not wanting to start anything he couldn't finish. "Are you ready to go?"
I nod and follow him out the door, shutting it behind me.
After about a long thirty minute car ride, we reach my father's new home he now shares with his fiancée.
I look around as I notice the house was extremely large. There is a huge black gate surrounding the property and it looks very well taken care of.
The guards at the front gate take the invitation I had them and open the door for Yugyeom and I.
Yugyeom links his arm with mine to seem more proper and I take a deep breath to prepare myself for what's coming.

Mana Soul
Like many others across the multiverse, Markus was chosen as this world's hero to fight against the steadily approaching cataclysm. Only, something went horribly wrong. Left with only a handful of memories, Markus has spent years clawing his way up from poverty and officially registered as an adventurer to try and make his fortune. Unfortunately, Artificers are the least combat-capable class of the four classes, and Markus has no connections to join an established party. With the fate of countless worlds hanging in the balance, a chance meeting will determine the course of a war nearly as old as reality itself. Warning: Markus has trauma induced amnesia and will occasionally 'act out of character' or make 'poorly thought out' decisions. These events are rather obvously telegraphed abd represent conflicts between his current personality and the one repressed alongside his trauma. Just something to bear in mind. The story will bounce predominantly back and forth between the primary protagonists every couple of chapters. The time stream is linear, so events are not revisted/rehashed/retold through the narrative format. Characters may comment on something that has occurred, but that's different. Just giving a heads up.Chapters will be around 7-9k and updated 1/week on the same schedule as my other story Ogre Tyrant over the weekend.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

A Bloody Game
Eric Hunter, a boy who took a gamble with his life on the line, soon finds out that the pay off took a very different direction that he thought. Having just awoken from a pre-op only to find himself confused and all alone in a changed world and a hospital consumed by chaos he must do all he can to survive. In a new world where society crumbles and laws are merely pretty words on written paper, how will a boy who has been restricted his whole life live now that there is nothing to hold him back? When everything turns into a zero sum game of dog eat dog, they'll find that The Hunter is an all too willing participant, but he will soon find out that he isn't the only player of this game. First story I'm posting and I don't really have a cool synopsis, sorry everyone, but this story is just another LitRPG apocalypse. I guess the only difference is that the main character isn't a hero. He's not here to save the world, he's not here to make friends, and he's definitely not here to save everyone. He's probably what the villains in other similar stories would be actually. Just writing for fun, advice or constructive critism is welcomed, writing style prone to change. Warning: Incredible amounts of poor grammar, Gore, Profanities, Traumatizing content, and cliches(I plan to have multiple main characters, maybe this is too ambitious for my poor skills, but it seems like it would be fun to try, the other MCs won't show up until later on.) The cover image isn't mine I just found it online. It's a piece by Stephanie Frey This takes inspiration from a lot of great stories on here, but I find the beginning to be most similar to Blood Lust by DefinitelyNotJormlung. Starcraft and Warhammer 40k and survival world rpg by S_Conary will also influenced this (at least that's my plan if I ever get that far or finish this) Also please stay with me until chapter 3. I suck at starting stories, but have been told I get better as I'm further along.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
