"Jungkook?!"

"Y/n? Is everything alright?" Jaebum questions, looking up from his paperwork as he saw the panic on my face.

"Yeah, everything's fine." I chuckle nervously. He just shrugs and continues to do his work.

I look back at Jungkook who held a toothy grin on his face. I lightly push him back as I fumble outside, shutting the door behind me.

"What are you doing here?!" I whisper-shout, alarmingly. His smile fades and forms into a small pout.

"What? Can I not just come and visit my best friend." He tilts his head to the side like a puppy.

"Without there being some ulterior motive? No," I cross my arms as I continue, "and why would you come on a Wednesday, of all days?"

"..because I like Wednesdays?" He says more like a question than a statement.

I raise an eyebrow at him, waiting for him to tell me the truth.

"Okay," he sighs, crumbling under my tough exterior, "I may have kinda gotten kicked out of the school and now my mom is forcing me to live here with my dad." He explains trying to look all innocent.

I stood with my mouth gaped open and widened eyes, "What the hell did you do that was so bad to get you kicked out of the school?!"

"Well..you see, I forgot to take my gun out of my book-bag and brought it to school," He pauses as I was staring at him like he was crazy. "and then I kind of used it to threaten someone."

"What the–are you crazy?! Why do you even have a gun?" I question him flabbergasted.

"Yes, and I don't want to talk about it." He answers both of my questions, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Hey, but look on the bright side! You'll be able see me everyday now that I'm transferring to your school." He states with bright smile on his face and I was not beaming with joy at all.

"You better not pull any of those shenanigans again, my school's already crazy enough as it is." I point a finger at him threateningly and he just raises his hands up in defeat.

"I won't, I promise." He complies playfully and the corner of my lips began tugging into a smile.

"Good. Now give me a hug, I've missed you." I command, making grabby hands at him like a child.

He displays his signature bunny smile before wrapping his arms around my waist. I return the gesture, sliding my arms around his neck and taking in his scent.

I missed him so much and now I have the chance to actually talk to him without Yeji getting in the way. Yes, I love her and all, but she could get really annoying. Whenever I would try and talk to Jungkook, she would always get in the way and butt into the conversation. I don't have to deal with that now that Jungkook's here in Seoul.

My body jumps in fright after hearing the sudden sound of the door swinging open. I quickly pull away from Jungkook as I see Jaebum standing in the door way with his arms crossed.

He held a hostile expression upon his face, glaring straight at Jungkook. I furrow my brows as I've never seen him look so serious before.

"I think I'm gonna go," Jungkook says hesitantly, also feeling uncomfortable under Jaebum's gaze.

"Okay..I'll see you later." I state waving him off as he walks off the porch and drove away in his car.

I face Jaebum who hasn't said a word this whole time.

"What's your problem?" I ask, pushing past him to walk inside.

"I don't want you seeing him anymore." He says in a demanding tone and I stare up at him completely baffled.

"What the fu–" I cut myself off, trying to calm down, "you don't even know him."

"I do know him. He and his friends are not good people." He states firmly, shutting the door with a little too much aggression.

I roll my eyes, knowing he was starting to get angry with me. I was really getting tired of his anger problems, he needs to learn how to control it.

"I grew up with Jungkook and his friends! They are good people, they've never done anything to hurt me! Why do you have such a problem with them?!" I shout in aggravation.

"Look. I'm not talking about this with you, you're too immature, you wouldn't understand. This is my house, so you have to follow my rules." He states sternly, giving me a hard glare.

"Whatever." I scoff, "I'll just leave then."

A Few Days Later

"So did you leave?" Jungkook asks as we were walking through the school hallways. I was telling him about the fight Jaebum and had when he first got here.

"No..it's not like I have anywhere else to go." I mumble almost silently in a pout.

"You could always stay with me and my dad." He suggests and I almost laughed out loud if I hadn't stopped myself.

"Yeah, sure. Does it look like I want to interfere with that drama?" I state with a raised eyebrow, "You both fight everyday and I don't want to be put into the middle of that."

"Well it was worth the try." He says and stops in-front of his classroom, "Thanks for walking me to class."

"No problem. Now could you let go of my hand, it's getting really sweaty." I complain and he quickly let go.

"Right, sorry." He chuckles nervously.

"It's fine." I laugh, wiping the sweat from my hand onto my jeans, "I'll see you at lunch."

"Don't forget to come back here or I'll get lost." He reminds me before walking into the classroom.

"I won't."

I began heading to gym since I was meeting up with Jisoo and Jennie for cheer practice.

They told me about everything that happened during our phone-call on Friday. I honestly felt so heartbroken, I thought Momo was my friend. I never expected something like that from her. But at the same time I felt guilty, if I never had said 'yes' to Yugyeom that night of the fair then none of this would've happened.

I almost wanted to cry when they told me Momo transferred to a different school. I don't know why, I just felt like everything was my fault and not hers. Now none of them are speaking with me, not even Bambam and Jackson.

Anytime I saw one of them in the hallways, they'd completely ignore me, like I was invisible. To be honest, it hurts, but I deserve it.

Everything went back to the way it was when I first moved here. Yugyeom and Mark are still friends since Mark explained to him what happened and they both decided to avoid me for the time being.

Yugyeom went back to being mean to people like he use to. Mark is acting like his old self. He's quiet, he doesn't smile or talk as much, and he just watches as Yugyeom blatantly pushes around other students.

At this moment I really wish that Victoria would just come back and set them straight. I hate seeing them like this, but there was nothing I could do. I ruined their friendship once, I didn't want to do it again. I'm just upset that, that also means not being friends with Jackson and Bambam either.

As I was nearing the gym I heard two people arguing around the corner. One of the voices I knew, but the other I didn't. I hid behind the wall so I wouldn't be seen and began peeking to see what was happening.

My eyes widen as I see Yugyeom punch this guy straight across the face which causes the boy to fall back against the wall. Mark was standing behind Yugyeom with his arms crossed, not looking amused at all.

"Tell us what you know!" Yugyeom commands, grabbing ahold of the guy's collar.

"I'm not telling you sh*t!" He replies, pushing Yugyeom off of him, "We don't work for you anymore."

"Yah. Baekhyun-ah! This is your last chance. Now tell me!" Yugyeom threatens, clearly frustrated by the guy's refusal.

"No." The boy simply states and I notice Mark raises an eyebrow, trying not to laugh at his response.

Yugyeom threw another punch to the his face which cut his bottom lip open. I wince as I watched the scene play out, the site of the boy's blood pouring from his lip made me feel sick to my stomach.

"Alright, I think that's enough." Mark steps in, placing his hand on Yugyeom's shoulder.

Yugyeom just shrugs his hand off, "No. We're not finished until he tells us everything."

Yugyeom kicks the guy in his ribs, causing him to fall to the floor from the impact. I furrow my brows at the site.

I watch as the boy stands up with an arrogant smirk on his face, wiping the blood from his mouth.

"Is that the best you can do?" He mocks, provoking Yugyeom.

I study the boy's movements and began to feel confused. He didn't look like the good-boy type. He seemed as if he knew how to fight, but his goal was to provoke Yugyeom..like he wants to be beaten up. He had messy hair, piercings, and a very familiar tattoo on his right hand.

E. X. O.

Those three letters were written just above his knuckles. I start to get frustrated as I can't remember where I know that tattoo from.

"Not nearly." Yugyeom replies, getting ready to throw another hit at the boy.

"Oh my gosh! Hi..Friend! Why didn't you call me last night?" I exclaim, speed-walking up to them. I had already forgotten the name Yugyeom said earlier, so I shouted the first thing that came to mind.

I wrap my arms around the boys waist, protecting him from the punch, but Yugyeom stops his fist before it came into contact with me.

The guy's glare fades away as he looks down at my innocent face as I hug him tightly.

"Sorry, I must've forgotten.." he says in a soft tone, going along with my lie.

"It's okay..I forgive you." I accept his fake apology and he just laughs lightly at my innocence, "but maybe we should talk elsewhere."

"Yeah, that'd probably be better." He agrees.

I release him from my grip and turn around, wrapping his arm around my shoulder to help him walk as he began limping.

I glance over at Yugyeom and Mark while I walked by. Mark puts his head down, not wanting to face my disappointed gaze.

Yugyeom on the other hand did not feel ashamed at all. His glare shifts from the boy to me as he was now pissed that I interrupted his work.

"What do you think you're doing?" He says through gritted teeth.

He grasps my wrist harshly and pulls me back.

"S-Stop! Let go!" I wince in pain.

"Yugyeom, let go of her..can't you see you're hurting he—" Mark begins to speak, but gets cut off.

"Shut up! You don't get to talk about her, you're lucky I accepted your friendship again." Yugyeom spat.

I look over at Mark and could see the pained look in his eyes as he stares down at his feet and kept quiet.

"Do you think that just because I gave you the time of day that you can do whatever you want without there being consequences?" He questions as his grip around my wrist tightens.

"What's the matter with you?! Why are you acting like this?" I ask, not understanding why he had to be so cruel.

"You're the one prancing around the school like you own the place and last I checked..you don't." I argue, sending him a deathly glare.

"Yugyeom, just stop. If Jaebum finds out about this, he'll get angry and who knows what'll happen." Mark warns.

"He won't find out."

"Not unless I tell him. I hope you didn't forget that I live with him." I threaten.

"You think you're funny don't you?" Yugyeom scoffs, squeezing your wrist tighter, it felt as if it was about to snap.

"Let go! You're hurting me!" I shout, trying to pull away from his hold.

I suddenly feel Baekhyun's body tense up at my words. He pulls away from me and walks in-between Yugyeom and I.

"I suggest you let go of her before I actually get pissed off..mate." He spat out his last word in a chilling tone.

I felt goosebumps run up my spine. His aura did a complete one-eighty turn.

Yugyeom clenches his jaw before reluctantly releasing me from his grasp. I had a feeling Baekhyun was a lot stronger than he looked and Yugyeom knew that.

I rub my newly bruised wrist and glance up at Yugyeom. His empty eyes stared down at me, feeling no remorse.

"Let's go." I demand, pulling Baekhyung along with me.

I couldn't bare to speak another word to Yugyeom, let alone look at him.

"Are you sure you don't want me to take you to the nurse's office?" I ask Baekhyun once again.

He finally told me his name right before we got to our class that we apparently share.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." He says removing his arm from around my shoulder, "Thanks for saving me back there."

I look up at him silently as he held an alluring gaze on his face and I notice he still had a little blood on the corner of his lip.

"You got a little uh–blood." I say awkwardly.

"Huh? Where?"

"There."

I lean in slowly, pressing my thumb against his bottom lip. I gently wipe the blood from his mouth as he just stares at me without saying a word. He held a small glint of amusement in his eyes as he watches me close the proximity between us.

"Thanks." He almost whispers. I flicker my sight from his lips and up to his eyes at his response.

"Y-your welcome."

I quickly pull away and walk past him and into the classroom once I start to feel my cheeks heating up. I don't know why, but I suddenly began to feel all embarrassed.

I took my bag off and sat in my seat, putting my head down to cover my red cheeks.

"Class, I'd like to introduce you to my son who just transferred here today, Baekhyun." Mrs. Byun states proudly, "You may sit in the empty seat in-front of, y/n."

I raise my head at Mrs. Byun's sentence, I began to feel a little sad as it use to be Momo's old seat.

I look over to the front where Baekhyun just nods at Mrs. Byun before heading over. He gives you a small acknowledging glance and sits down.

"I'd also like to inform you that my nephew, Kai, just transferred here today, but he won't be in any of my classes." She explains happily and my head immediately snaps to look up at her.

Kai.

Kai.

Kai.

Where do I know that name?

Oh no.

This can't be happening!

This cannot be happening to me! Of all times, why now?! I can't believe I just became friends with my crazy ex-stalker's cousin. What the hell is wrong with me?!

That's why I knew Baekhyun's tattoo..Kai has the same exact one on the left side of his collarbone. Don't ask why I know all that information..it brings back bad memories.

What am I suppose to do now? Avoid Baekhyun? Avoid Kai? Or maybe I should just avoid them both. See this is why I should have never interfered in Yugyeom's problems! It was none of my business anyways.

I raise my hand in a dash, the feeling of puking suddenly hit me, "Mrs. Byun!"

"Yes, y/n, is everything alright?" She questions with worry.

"May I use the bathroom?"

"Yes, of course, go ahead." She accepts and I quickly run out of the classroom, not looking back.

I run to the next hall and stop, leaning my back against the wall. I began to feel myself breathing heavily, like I was hyperventilating.

I place my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath, but it wasn't working. It felt as if I would pass out in any moment.

"Y/n?"

I heard someone say my name, but I couldn't focus on it as it felt like I was running out of air.

"Y/n! Hey! What's wrong?!"

I heard the voice again, but the pain in my chest hurt more than anything and I fell to my knees. I was having a panic attack.

"Hey! Look at me. Look at me!"

I finally found out who the voice belonged to as the person dropped to their knees as well. He grabs my face with both hands, forcing me to look at him as I was running out of air.

Yugyeom.

"What happened? Why are you acting like this?" He whispers, feeling his heart breaking at the site of me. He's never seen me like this before. It was like I was so scared that I couldn't breath, like I didn't want to.

"How do I help? Tell me how I can help you!" He shouts, he was frustrated with himself for not knowing what to do in this kind of situation.

I shake my head, tugging at the hems of his shirt as I felt my fingers going numb. I began feeling weaker as I started leaning more of my weight against him.

"Fuck!" He curses.

He forces me to look up at him as he leans in, pressing his lips against mine.

I began feeling the pain in my chest being relieved as my breathing became steadier.

I held onto his wrists, leaning into his touch as I return the kiss.

His kiss was so gentle, it seemed as if he thought he would break me if he made one wrong move.

But he suddenly breaks the kiss, pulling away. I take a big breath in, trying to calm down.

"Sorry..it was the only thing I could think of to help." He apologizes while standing up. "Don't apologize. You helped me." I state as I bend my knees to stand too.

I stare up at him like he was the most amazing person I ever set my eyes on.

"Don't look at me like that." He deadpans, becoming more serious now that I was feeling better.

"Like what?" I furrow my brows, not understanding.

"You're giving me the same look you gave the night of the carnvial." He explains, crossing his arms. It seems he put his barriers back up again.

"..it's just..I'm really grateful." I say almost silently while fumbling with my fingers.

I look up at him with a sad smile. He was trying hard to keep his poker-face, I could tell.

"I'm sorry, I really am. If I could take back what I did..I would, but I can't." I explain, referring to the kiss with Mark.

I try to keep the smile on my face, but it didn't seem to be working.

I stare at Yugyeom, waiting for a reply, but I didn't get one. He looked as if he wanted to say, 'It's okay and that I forgive you,' but he didn't. He kept quiet, like he was battling his inner-self.

"I can't give you the answer you want..yet." He states, keeping his hard emotionless expression. But I still had hope from his words.

"I understand." I nod silently, "I'll let you be."

• III •

"No! I told you, there's no news!" I whisper-shout through the phone.

I was standing outside on the football field, behind the school bleachers during gym class. Jinyoung suddenly called me out of nowhere, expecting there to be some new update.

"Well, what about y/n?" Jinyoung asks once again.

"Like I said! none of the members are speaking with her. They are all avoiding her, even Jaebum." I explain once again and I could hear Jinyoung sigh in relief through the phone.

"Good, she should stay away from them." He says in an overprotective tone and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, whatever.." I lean against the back of the bleachers as I just remembered something, "There is one thing that happens to be new."

"Which is?"

"Baekhyun's here, which means that asshole, Kai, is too." I state, already annoyed by my mention of his name.
