Your eyes steadily begin to open at the shuffling noises around the room. You roll over towards your right, feeling around, only to realize Yugyeom was no longer there.
Gazing out the window, you noticed that it was still dark out. Your eyes glance towards the bathroom door connected to the bedroom, watching as Yugyeom walks out.
He stood shirtless with only a dark pair of cargo pants hugging his legs. The steam from the hot shower he took slowly flowed out the bathroom.
You observed his movements as he attempts to quietly opens one of his dresser drawers, pulling out a white shirt.
"Yugyeom."
Your croaky morning voice catches his attention and he glances over at you, surprised to see you awake.
"Where are you going?" You questioned as it was clear he was getting ready to leave.
"What are you doing up? It's early." He states, completely ignoring your question.
"I could ask you the same thing." You retort.
"I have things I need to do today." He answers, sliding on his shirt and walking over to you. "It won't take long."
You grabbed your phone from the nightstand and turned it on to see how early it was, "It's five in the morning. What do you have to do so early on a Saturday?"
"That doesn't matter, just go back to sleep. I'll be back soon." He spoke softly while brushing the hair out of your face.
You were too tired to protest, or realize how intimate this appeared. You no longer had the energy to question him as your eyes began to close once more, causing your head to fall back against the soft pillow.
• I •
Your body suddenly jolts up and you look around the room. It felt like you only closed your eyes for a few seconds, yet it must've been a couple of hours as the sun had already risen.
You jump out of bed at the sound of a phone ringing on the nightstand.
Taking a better look at the phone, you recognize it to be Yugyeom's. That idiot must've forgotten to bring it with him when he left.
The caller ID on his phone made you do a double-take as you recognized that name, "Park Jinyoung."
It could just be a different Jinyoung, you tried convincing yourself. But something in you told you to answer.
"Hello?" You reluctantly speak.
There was a silence on the other end of the phone as if the person wasn't expecting a female voice.
"..Y/n?" The man spoke, and your brows lifted in surprise.
It was definitely your Jinyoung, and by the sound if it he recognized your voice too.
"Yes, it's Y/n."
"What are you doing with Yugyeom's phone? How do you know him? Where is he?" He bombards you with questions, the jealousy in his voice was evident.
It's been weeks since you've seen or spoken to Jinyoung, yet he has the audacity to sound upset when you're with someone else.
As of right now, you didn't care about that. You needed Jinyoung to explain how they new each other.
"Jinyoung, how do you know Yugyeom? What went on between the two of you to make him hate you so much?" You asked in a more demanding tone, tired of all the mystery.
"Where are you right now?" He asks, completely ignoring you questions.
"I'm at Yugyeom's house. Now answer my questions, and don't lie to me. I can always tells when you're lying." You said, your frustration was starting to build.

"I—" A heavy sigh escapes his lips. "Yugyeom is my—"
Your head immediately snaps up after hearing the sound of a window shattering from downstairs.
"You need to leave, now." Jinyoung voices, hearing the loud crash through the phone.
"Jinyoung...who is that?"
"You weren't supposed to be there.." He mumbles into the phone. "I sent a few people there to send Yugyeom a message."
"What kind of message?" You ask, although, you had a gut feeling you knew what the answer was.
When Jinyoung didn't reply, that only confirmed your suspicions.
"You sent people to hurt Yugyeom?" You were in disbelief.
Yes, you find Yugyeom insufferable to be around, but that doesn't mean you want people to hurt him.
"That's not important, Y/n." He says, dodging the answer, "Look, they should be there any minute. You need to leave." He repeats.
"Just tell me why you sent these people to hurt him." You weren't going to leave until he told you the truth.
"...I know how he's been treating you over there. I did this to send him a message." He answered truthfully, knowing he could no longer lie.
"How would you even know? You haven't even spoken to me in weeks." Your brows furrow.
"I have connections there, they inform me on everything that's been going on with you."
The more Jinyoung talks the crazier he's starting to sound. This behavior is not normal. Something about him— something about this whole situation is changing him.
"What–are you stalking me now?"
"No, I just—I needed to see how you are doing there and if everything was okay." He denies.
"Then pick up the phone and call me. Don't send people to watch me! Do you hear how crazy that sounds?!" You paced around the room angrily.
"Yah! Kim Yugyeom!" A man yell out from downstairs, causing you to jump. "Stop hiding and come out!"
"Y/n—"
"If I die, it's your fault, asshole." You speak quickly before hanging up the phone.
You were halfway serious when you said that, but something in you really believed that you were actually going to get hurt.
Shit, Y/n! Stop being so scared, you've gone soft ever since you moved to Seoul.
You spot a baseball bat leaning against the wall in front of Yugyeom's closet. You quickly snatched it, running inside and shutting the door behind you as quietly as possible.
You turned on Yugyeom's phone only to be welcomed by the passcode screen. Having no idea what it could be, you pressed his emergency contact list.
The only contact listed was Mark's. Feeling conflicted, you let out a shaky breath as you pressed call. You didn't want to bother him with this, but he was the only person you could call.
Obviously, you thought about calling the police, but you are on house arrest while, clearly, not being at your house. You would get in so much more trouble if the police were to show up, rather than just Jaebeom.
You put the phone up to your ear while it was ringing, praying that Mark would answer. Much to your surprise, he did.
"What do you want? I'm busy."
"Mark?" You whisper. "I need your help."
"...Who's talking right now?" You could hear the confusion in his voice.
"It's Y/n."
"Why are you calling me from Yugyeom's phone?"
"Some random men just showed up at Yugyeom's house...they're looking for him. I think they are here to hurt him." You mutter out, quickly.

"What—Wait, did you sleep over at his house?" He questions, his tone laced with disdain.
"Does that really matter right now?"
"No, it doesn't." He clears his throat, awkwardly. "Okay, where's Yugyeom right now and where are you in the house currently?"
"Yugyeom left a couple hours ago, so I don't know where he is but he forgot his phone." You sputter out quickly, feeling as if your heart was about to explode. "I'm hiding in his closet, and I'm kind of freaking out."
"Okay, just stay hidden. I'll be there as soon as I can." He says, hanging up.
You begin to hear multiple footsteps running up the stairs. You flinch after hearing the door to Yugyeom's bedroom being smashed open. The footsteps of two men walked into the room.
"Where is he?"
"I don't know. Jinyoung said he'd be here."
"You check the bathroom, and I'll check over here."
Slow steps could be heard approaching the closet. If your heart could beat any faster, it'd explode.
As if on cue, your mind flashed back to an old conversation you had with Jinyoung back in Busan when you were dealing with your Kai problem.
• II •
One Year Ago
"Why are you following me? I told you to leave me alone!" You spat angrily.
You were walking back to your house from a party at Jimin's place. He lived in the same neighborhood as you, so the walk home was less than five minutes.
While on your way out of the party, Kai spotted you and began following after you like he usually does.
"I've driven all this way to Namjoon's party to see you." Kai says, catching up with you.
You stopped walking and let out a deep sigh, "What is wrong with you? Why do you keep bothering me?! I acknowledged your existence once to be nice, but now you're taking this too far."
He stares down at you and grabs your arm, "You cannot get away from me so easily. Not after what I've done for you."
"You've done nothing, but cause me problems!" You shout. "Let go of me—!"
Suddenly, Jinyoung comes driving up on his motorcycle and glides in between you both, forcing Kai to jump out of the way.
"Get on."
You immediately oblige and Jinyoung speeds off, leaving Kai there all alone, "Who was that?" He asks while furthering the distance
"Some annoying guy that keeps pestering me." You state, raising your upper lip in disgust.
That was the first time Jinyoung ever met Kai, your stalker.
Kai was completely different when you first met him.
In the beginning he was kind and gentle, but as time grew he became more aggressive and cold. It got out of control.
A Little Later
You were walking home at night from a pool party at Jimin's place, when suddenly a familiar car pulls up in front of you, cutting you off.
A man gets out and you internally groan seeing as it was Kai. You were freezing and soaking wet from the pool and you didn't have the energy to deal with him tonight.
"I'll drive you back."
"Why do you keep bothering me? Why do you insist on following me around?!" You ask, demanding an answer.
You were sick of his stupid games. All you wanted was for him to leave you alone.
"I'm only doing it out of love." He furrows his brows as if he was stating the obvious.
He really thinks you're that gullible to believe he is in love with you. You're not stupid. You know he's faking it, but why?
"If I tell you I don't like you, can't you just stop?!" You spat, dropping your arms to your side in frustration, "What you do is not love!"
You sigh deeply before walking around him, trying to ignore his presence. But he doesn't give up as he continues to follow you.
He grabs your forearm, yanking you back against him.
"I told you that I have a boyfriend, yet you keep trying to pursue me. Just stop!" You shout.
"So what?" He scoffs, "I'll make you fall in love with me."
You raise your hand to slap him, but he grabs it pulling you against his chest.
As you struggled to push yourself away from him, the impact of your tugging forces your body into the middle of the road.
A car with its bright headlights on was heading right for you. The car honks it's horn repeatedly, but you were frozen in shock.
Suddenly, you were thrown out the way, forcefully landing in the grass.
A pained moan escapes your lips as you push yourself up. You glanced over to see it was Jinyoung who had saved you. His unconscious body was in the road as the car had hit him instead.
Kai tries to help you stand up, but you shove him away, running over to Jinyoung.
"Jinyoung!"
You fall to your knees beside him and placed your fingers against his neck to feel for a pulse. You were relieved when there was a faint heartbeat.
"Jinyoung! Wake up!" You shout while shaking him.
Thankfully his eyes flew open and he clutches his ribcage in pain, groaning as he stood to his feet.
"You shouldn't be moving!" You panicked, standing as well.
"I'm okay.." He reassures in a quiet tone.
"You are not okay. You need to be taken to the hospital." You said, but he just shakes his head.
He turns his gaze towards Kai and gives him a deadly glare. You held onto his arm, letting him rest some of his weight against you.
"It's time for you to go." Jinyoung orders in a low tone.
"And if I don't? What are you gonna do, try to run me over with your little bike again?" Kai provokes with a smug laugh.
"No, if you touch Y/n again, I will kill you." Jinyoung threatens, stepping closer.
Kai's expression darkens as he clenches his jaw, angered by Jinyoung words.
"We'll see about that."
• III •
Present Day
After that night's occurrence, Jinyoung, taught you some moves overtime to protect yourself from Kai.
You aren't as good as an assassin or professional fighter, of course, but you could handle yourself against someone for at least a little bit. Hopefully Jinyoung's lessons can finally come in handy.
The room suddenly fell silent. You had a strong feeling they knew someone was here.
One of the two men yanked the closet door open, causing the door to loudly slam against the wall, creating a giant dent.
The man sees you huddled up with the baseball bat and laughs to himself as you try your best not to show any fear.
"Look what we have here!" He announces loudly and the other man appears from the bathroom.
"Seems we've found Yugyeom's little girlfriend." He states, and the other guy laughs.
"What are we gonna do with you?" An evil smirk finds it's way to his lips.
He snatches your arm and forcefully pulls you from the closet. He yanks the bat out of your hands as he shoves you to the middle of the room.
"Don't touch me." You command, yanking your arm from his grasp.
"Oh, she's a fighter." He mocks.
As he begins to approach you creepily, you angrily slap him, causing his face to swing to the side from the force.
He touches his, now bleeding, lip as it split open in the corner. His gaze find its way back over at you, a bit taken aback.
"You're a tough one aren't you?" He spoke through gritted teeth, revealing the knife he kept in his pocket.
He immediately charges after you in which you attempted to dodge. Unfortunately, that didn't work out very well. The knife cut you clean across the cheek.
Warm blood oozes from the injury, and you wince from the pain.
Okay, I admit, that was stupid.
The other man pulls out a gun and points it at you, forcing you to seize all movement.
The man you had slapped earlier caught you by surprise when he grabbed you from behind.
Holding his knife against your neck, he began to talk. "Move and I'll slit your throat."
"Tell us where Yugyeom is, and we'll let you go." The man with the gun orders.
"I don't know where he is, and even if I did...I'd never tell you." You spat.
You elbowed the man behind you in the ribs as hard as you could and he doubled over in pain.
You felt pain forming against your throat as you realized the knife had created a small cut on the side of your neck when he released you so suddenly.
The cut wasn't big enough to cause any damage, but it still stung like a bitch.
The man charged after you angrily and successfully plunged his knife into your left shoulder.
You screamed in pain as he yanked it back out. You immediately grabbed your shoulder, attempting to stop the bleeding.
Before he could even attempt to stab you once more, a loud gunshot blares through the room.
Blood splatters across your face as the man in front of you falls to the ground.
You look up in disbelief to see it was his friend who shot and killed him.
"Why?" Your voice small, unable to process what was happening.
"He was pissing me off." He states simply.
"But, he was your friend."
"Hardly." He scoffs.
You freeze when slowly walks over to you and presses the cold metal of his gun against your temple.
"You better listen to me or I won't hesitate to kill you." He orders.
He leans his face against your neck, taking in your scent. He slowly begins running his rough hand up your thigh.
"Why are you doing this? Yugyeom's the one you're after." You cringe, disgusted by his touch.
"Because it's fun."
You turn your head, trying to look anywhere but his face. He yanks your hair to gain access to your neck and starts leaving marks all over your jaw and neck with his dirty mouth.
You shut your eyes tight, holding back tears. You couldn't bear it.
He rips your shirt and the feeling of cold air hits your body. He kisses up and down your collarbone and neck, groping you.
It took all your will-power not to burst out crying right then and there. Never have you ever experienced anything this traumatizing before.
He eventually moved his hand to unclip your bra, sliding the straps down your arm, and removing it.
You ignored his threats and used your arms to cover your chest. You couldn't take it anymore. Even if he was threatening your life with a gun, you had to do something.
Before he could even try anything else, another loud gunshot echoed through the room. Except, this time it wasn't his.
The man's body created a loud thump as he fell to the ground.
You look up at the door to see Yugyeom standing there with a pistol in his hand and Mark beside him. While Victoria cowered behind them.
Yugyeom shoves his gun back into his waistband and glides over to you.
He stares down at you in your vulnerable state and wipes the blood from your face. Your trembling figure did not go unnoticed by him.
"I'm sorry..." Your voice cracked. You wanted to explain everything, yet nothing left your mouth.
Your eyes widened slightly when he pulled you against his chest, his body covering yours protectively.
"Do not apologize." He aimed to sound gentle, although it came off as more aggressive than intended.
"You didn't do anything to be sorry for." His words caused the tears to spill from your eyes as you wrapped your arms around his waist.
Your hands gripped his shirt tightly, not wanting him to let you go. You felt safe, with him.
"Thank you," You whispered into his chest. "For saving me."
