The last school bell rang, allowing the students to go home. You eventually made you way down the stairwell that lead to the rooftop.
Your mind was racing as you couldn't stop yourself from thinking about the hug with Mark. There was something off with him today, maybe it goes deeper than his feelings for Victoria.
Before you could properly collect your thoughts, you felt yourself being yanked into a dark and empty classroom.
Your back was slammed up against the cold wood of the door, causing chills to run up your spine.
"Hey!" You shout. "Yugyeom? What are you doing?!"
"Let go of me!" You struggle against his grasp as he had your arms pinned down by your sides.
"What gives you the right to try and entice my best friend?" He speaks in a low tone.
His eyes were narrowed as his grip around your wrists tightened.
"Entice? Looks like someone's been brushing up on their vocabulary." You laugh, not realizing that he had witnessed what took place on the rooftop a few minutes ago.
"Don't try and change the subject."
The displeasure on his face was quite evident at this point. The smile fell from your lips as you try to pry his hands off of you, only to fail.
"Even if I were trying to entice him why do you even care?" You question, quirking an unamused brow. "You do not have any control over the decisions Mark or I make."
It's clear Yugyeom thinks he has some kind of control over everyone. Yugyeom and his arrogance pisses you off like no other.
"It's not Mark that I care about." He spoke through gritted teeth.
"From the looks of it, it's pretty obvious you don't care about anyone but yourself." You spat. "Now get your hands off of me!"
His grip tightens at your words, causing you to inhale a sharp breath as your wrists felt as if they were about to snap.
"Yugyeom, you're hurting me." You wince in pain, "Let me go, please.." You plead.
His eyes snap down to his hands and he immediately releases you. He notices the red print of his hands around your wrists and finally realizes how rough be was being.
"..I'm sorry."
His cold expression turns into an apologetic one as he looks back up at your face, and you scoff.
"I doubt that." Your eyes hardened, glaring up at him with disdain. "It took me three times to tell you to let me go before you actually listened."
You take one last look at him before turning and opening the door. You quickly rush out of the classroom, wanting to get as far away from his as possible. You didn't want to be anywhere near him again.

It was finally Friday, the day you've been dreading this whole week.
Some may ask, 'Why would you be dreading Friday? That's the best day of the week.'
Well, it's because Victoria's birthday party is today.
You wanted to be excited, but you couldn't get Mark out of your head. It made you feel even worse when you realized that Victoria might have feelings for Mark just like he has feelings for her.
You don't want to get in the way of whatever those two had. You feel it's best that you just don't go, but Victoria personally invited you herself so you can't really refuse either.
Now that you know Yugyeom saw the hug between you and Mark, you were afraid that he might tell Victoria about it or that she might already know.

You're certain that the reason she came back to Seoul is for Mark. You remember Jackson telling you that she was Mark's first love. You didn't want her to think that you're trying steal him away from her.
That's why you're dreading the party. Parties are the one place that drama like that always occurs.
You sigh as you pulled your phone out from your pocket, scrolling through and answering unread messages from your friends in Busan.
You continue to walk through the school hall as you make your way to class.
Suddenly, you felt a hand grip your forearm and yanking you to the side. You look up with furrowed brows to see Yugyeom staring down at you intensely.
"What the–"
"Don't start yelling at me." He cuts you off, "You almost ran into that girl's locker door, I was just pulling you out of the way."
Your eyes follow to where he was pointing, and you see a girl with long brown hair pulling books from her bag and shoving them into her locker.
"Thanks..I guess." You mutter.
Before you could walk away, he takes your hand and places a bright pink envelope in it.
"What's this?" You stare at it puzzled.
"It's an invitation." He answers vaguely, "It's for my sister's party. She wanted me to give it to you."
"Oh." You state, not really knowing what to say.
Just as you begin to walk around him, he grabs your wrist. His grip was gentle and cautious, unlike last time when he was rough and aggressive.
"Yes?" You turn to look at him, "Is there something you need?"
"I was meaning to ask you something." He states, clearing his throat. "Do you.."
He pauses for a moment, not quite sure how to put it without coming off as overbearing and nosy.
"Do I what?" You ask, "I don't have all day. I need to get to class."
"Do you have a thing for Mark?"
"What?" Your brows raise, "What do you mean?"
You felt your heart start to race thinking about it. Yugyeom frowns at your flustered state and tries to rephrase his question.
"Do you have feelings for Mark?" He repeats, releasing your wrist from his grasp.
You honestly have no idea what you feel towards Mark. You can't tell if you genuinely have feelings for him or if it's just a little crush.
"Why does it matter?" You ask, "It's none of your concern wether I like him or not."
"You're right," He looks away, "Sorry that I asked."
You could tell something was bothering him. But at the moment, you didn't want to know.
Once again, you turn back around and head to your class. You needed to hurry before the bell rings so you have extra time to copy Bambam's homework since you didn't get to finish it all last night.
As you walk into the classroom, you walk to the back and take a seat next to Bambam.
"Hey, bestie." You smile at him innocently.
He looks over at you with an eyebrow raised and a small smile appears on his lips.
"Bestie?" He questions and you nod.
"Yes, is there a problem?"
"No, I guess not." He chuckles
"Hey, so do you think I can copy your homework?" You ask, finally popping the question.
"You always need my homework." He rolls his eyes, "Here."
He passes it to you as it was already out on his desk, waiting for the teacher to collect it.

"Thanks," You smile. "You're a life saver."
"So, are you going to Victoria's party?" You ask as you begin to copy down the last two answers on his paper.
"Of course I am, who wouldn't want to go?" He states. "But I have a plus one and I have no idea who I should bring with me."
"I think I have someone in mind." A small smirk appears upon your face.
"Who?"
"Momo."

The school day has finally ended after some terribly boring classes and you were ready to go home.
As soon as you took one step out of your class, someone snatch your hand. You already knew who it was as the person liked to drag you around all the time.
Other students watch intently as he pulls you through the hallway and out of the school doors.
"Kim Yugyeom!" You holler. "Let go of me."
You were now in the parking lot as he maneuvered his way to his car.
"Victoria asked me to give you a ride. She thought it'd just be easier for me to take you."
He opens the passenger door and pushes you inside, closing the door behind you. He walks over to the other side and sit in the driver's seat.
"I can get there perfectly fine myself." You retort. "And you need to stop doing this. I'm not some toy that you can drag around all the time."
You try to open the door to leave, but he quickly locks the car before I could pull the handle.
"Yugyeom, I swear to god–"
"Can you just be quiet and listen to me for once?" He snaps.
"Look, I don't mean to be so jagged. I've just never learned how to be..gentle." He says, letting out a deep breath.
He had more of a benevolent expression while speaking, something you've never seen. He was at least trying to improve. That counts as something, right?
"Fine." You sigh. "Let's just get this over with."
He starts the car like nothing happened and that weird feeling in the pit of your stomach came back.
The whole car ride was just silent, while you rested your head against the cold window.
You eventually found yourself falling asleep after a while. But you were immediately being shaken awake after the car had finally stopped.
"We're here." He states, before stepping out of the car.
You sit up, taking your seatbelt off as Yugyeom came around the other side, opening the door for you.
"Thanks.."
"Come on." He beckons and you follow him to the front entrance.
When you both reach the front door there were two guards standing on either sides of the door.
Yugyeom begins speaking with them in a whisper. You look around in awe while stretching you arms. He literally lives in a mansion.
"Inform my father that Vic won't be staying for long. Her visit is temporary." Yugyeom says, which catches your attention.
"Yes sir. I understand." One of the guards speaks.
She's leaving again?
Both guards nod as they finish up their conversation and Yuyeom walks on through. You go to follow him, but the guards stop you from moving any further.
"She's with me." Yugyeom informs.
"But sir, isn't this the girl that y—"
"I said, she's with me." Yugyeom cuts him off, speaking in a more stern voice.
"I understand that, but what about Kai–"
Your eyes widen at that name. The palms of your hands felt sweaty and you didn't know how to react.
It could be any Kai, right? It can't be the same one you know. It can't be.
"Do you want me to fire you?!" Yugyeom growls, "I won't hesitate to cut off the money that supplies your family. You'll have no way of surviving. Do you want that?"
You watch as Yugyeom threatens the poor man and you felt awful.
"N-No sir." The guard stutters out. "You can come through, ma'am."
Just as you thought Yugyeom was trying to change. He goes and does this. You have no idea what he was so mad about, but to threaten to cut off this man's money supply..that's just plain cruel.
"We're very sorry for disturbing your date, Mr. Kim." The other guard finally speaks up.
"We're not—"
Before you could finish, Yugyeom takes your hand and pulls you inside.
"Victoria is upstairs in the third room to your left." He states. "She's waiting for you."
It's safe to say that if you tried questioning him what his outburst was about, he'll probably get angry again. So there's no point in asking now.
You head up the stairs without responding and walk into the room that Victoria's supposedly in.
You spot her laying on the bed with her phone in her hands. When she notices you, she jumps off the bed and runs over to you, engulfing you in a hug.
"Y/n! I'm so glad you came!" She exclaims while releasing you.
"Yeah, me too." You smile sheepishly.
"Now, I can finally give you that make-over I was talking about." She grins. "Come, sit down."
She sits you down on the edge of her bed and picks up a giant bag full of makeup.
"What time are the guests going to arrive?" You question curiously and she shrugs.
"They should be showing up soon with their invitations." She answers while pulling down the zipper, "So, should we get started?"
"Woah, that's a lot." Your brows raise after looking at all the makeup inside her bag.
"This is what it's like being a model." She says playfully.
"So, how do you like it in Seoul so far?" She asks, starting with your foundation. "I've been told that you're new here. You used to live in Busan, right?"
"Yeah." You nod, "It's nice, but I haven't quite adjusted yet. There's a particular person I'm not too fond of."
She laughs lightly while applying some concealer under your eyes, "If you're talking about Yugyeom, then I can definitely say he's a little pompous."
"A little is an understatement." You mumble. "He's so overbearing and he's always dragging me around."
"That's the beauty of it, though." She states, "I'd be worried if he didn't act like that. It's how you know he cares about you."
"I mean, it's not a very good way of showing affection, but at least you know it's there." She explains.
You've never thought of it that way. But why would you? People like him piss you off.
"Well, what about Mark? How do you feel about him?" She questions as she begins to apply the eyeshadow.
"What up with people asking me that today?" You frown.
"I've noticed Mark has been opening up to you recently." She mentions, "Which is surprising, he's never gotten close to someone this fast."
"What? How do you know that?" Your brows crease with uncertainty.
"I saw the hug on the rooftop, Y/n." She reveals, "I can tell he really likes you."
"There's no way." You shake your head in denial.
"It's true." She smiles. "Mark wouldn't hug just anyone.
"It didn't mean anything." You try to explain. "Mark's obviously still in love with you."
She gave you a look of curiosity, confused on the situation.
"Wasn't he your boyfriend at one point?" You ask, noticing her confusion.
"No, not at all. I think he had a little crush on me when we were younger because I was kinder to him than most." She confessed. "Besides, it's been a long time since we've seen each other. He should've gotten over me by now."
She backs up after finishing with the makeup, making sure everything looked perfect, "I'm done."
"Here, take this and go change." She hands you a dress and leads you inside her huge walk in closet.
You close the door behind you and quickly change into the dress. You reach behind your back, zipping it up.
Victoria walks back in, flashing a wide smile. Her eyes sparkled in excitement as she stared at you.
"You look gorgeous, Y/n!" She compliments.
"Thanks to you."
"Now that we're finished, let's head downstairs. The guests are already here." She grins.
She links her arm around yours and walks you out of the closet.
When you walk out of her bedroom, she stops in front of the balcony and sees many people are already here.
"If you need anything, I won't be too far from here." She reassures, before leading you down the stairs.
You look around until you spot Mark standing next to one of the dining tables while talking with one of the guests.
He notices you and gives a small smile. That's when Victoria's beauty gained his all attention. She walks up to him, leaving you alone.
You could tell that he's still in love with her. The way he stares at her while she talks and each time she smiles, his eyes light up.
You look away to see Yugyeom staring at me from afar with sharp eyes. His gaze held a hint of amusement as I stood there all alone.
"Y/n! Come over here!" Bambam hollers, catching your attention.
"Where's Momo?" You ask, after heading on over.
"She's went to go some water, she'll be right back." He answers, "Where's your date?"
"I don't have one." You state, unsure why he assumed you did.
"I thought you came with Yugyeom?" He looks at you confused.
"What? No!" You blurt out. "He just gave me a ride. That's all."
"You sure? Cause he's coming over here right now." He states, pointing behind you.
You turn around, watching Yugyeom make his way over through the crowd of people. You observe his outfit as he wore an all black suit with a black tie.
Well, now you know his favorite color is black.
"Can I have your attention everyone?"
The music cuts off and everyone stops what they're doing. Victoria stood in the front of the room with a mic in her hand.
"I have an announcement to make." She smiles solemnly, "Tonight is the last night I will be in Seoul. Tomorrow I'm moving back to France and I will remain there for good. I won't be returning here."
Your eyes bounce around the room, searching for Mark. You notice him in the corner of the room, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He was clearly displeased with the news.
"I came here to celebrate my 20th birthday in my hometown as it will be my very last one here." She voices with a sad smile.
"I hope you can forgive me for this.." She states, "I'm truly sorry."
You could tell her apology was towards Mark as she began to tear up while gazing into his eyes.
She puts the mic down and quickly rushes out the room. Mark immediately took the chance to storm off after her.
You felt bad for the both of them. It's obvious they mean a lot to each other. But you won't intervene, it's not any of your business anyway.
You head to the kitchen to get yourself a drink and to steer clear of the now awkward atmosphere.
You open one of the cabinets and reach up to grab one of the cups. While grasping the glass, it slips and falls to the floor, shattering into tiny pieces.
"Shit!" You whisper-shout.
You squat down, picking up most of the big pieces and placing them on the counter.
You suddenly felt a presence behind you and you hastily stand up straight. Your body tenses up seeing that it was Yugyeom.
He notices your guilty expression and glances down at the mess you made on the floor.
"I broke one of your cups." You inform.
"I can see that." He chuckles lightheartedly, shoving his hands into his pants' pockets.
"But you're rich, so you can just buy another one." You said halfway jokingly as he didn't appear to be upset.
He walks over to the utensil closet, swiftly pulling out a broom before making his way back over to you. He reaches out to hand you the broom waiting for you to accept it.
"How about you sweep.." You state, pushing his hand back over to him. "..and I'll pick up the rest of the big pieces."
"You're the one who made the mess." He retorts.
"Well, if you didn't keep your cups so high, I wouldn't have made a mess in the first place." You argue, squatting down again.
You begin to collect the glass shards and putting them on the counter.
"I should be making you pay for it." He mumbles under his breath.
You bit back a smile, not wanting him to see you laugh. After all, you were supposed to be mad at him.
"Yugyeom." You called out to him, gaining his attention.
"Earlier, when you were talking with one of your security guards..." You began, hesitantly. "When he said the name, Kai, was he talking about Kim Jongin?"
