Конечно, то, что Гарри совершенно случайно был замешан во все это меня радует, но даже при этом мне тяжело принять его объятия или поцелуй. Его глаза, руки, волосы - все складывается в единую картину передо мной - те самые фотографии. Отвращение, которое я испытываю глядя на него берет надо мной верх. Мне просто стоит уехать от сюда. Забыться. Забыть все это и приехать уже совсем другой. Живой.
Отходя от него с каждым шагом все дальше, я чувствую его взгляд. Такой болезненный, усталый, но любящий и добрый. С каждой секундой мне хочется вернуться обратно и обнять его с такой силой, с какой я не обнимала еще никого и никогда... Но стоит ли это того? Думаю да. Но Гарри и сам понимает, насколько трудно и тяжело сейчас мне. Я ценю его понимание, но укоряю себя, за то, что не могу так быстро простить ему этого.
А что было бы, если бы я тогда не отпустила бы его? Что бы она придумала взамен этому? Было бы это хуже, чем это есть сейчас? Или бы она просто сдалась бы? Нет. Точно не сдалась. И я не сдамся. Гарри мой и только мой. А я его, и он это знает...
Всего месяц, два и вся боль утихнет. Пройдет так же незамедлительно, как и пришла. Останутся лишь воспоминания и сожженные фотографии, пепел от которых я сложила в пакет, который отдала ему. Я не хочу, чтобы он знал, на сколько было больно мне, но он и так знает это, ведь он - Гарри.

She is introduced to a world of Prophets, Runners and Mages led by an Oracle and a Watchmaker. Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet. In order to have a chance at overcoming this force of nature she has to revisit the darkest and most desolate corners of her mind. ***** The total word count of the first 12 chapters amounts to about 85.000 words.
