《His Personal Chef》Chapter 58

"Calm down, Damien." Chris said, as Damien gulped in a glass of rich red wine.

Chris explained to him the reason behind Winnie's appearance on the television. But Damien couldn't help and feel bad. It's not that he is not proud of her. His heart just clenches over the fact that she is going to be so alone there facing ruthless people. He wishes he was there, beside her to protect her from all the wildness in the world.

Maybe she could have asked him for the advice. Well, if he knew that she was going to go in a Masterchef Show, he would have never allowed her.

Never ever. He understands her dreams to be a big Chef so he would have helped her in different ways. Like invest into a resturant for her where she could be the Chef, managing it.

If only things didn't go that wrong.

"She is getting over me." He stated, his head was dizzy due the amount of alcohol and wine he has been consuming.

"Maybe she never loved me." His voice croaked, full of emotions.

...

And in the second competition she enters. It was disappointingly a group round. As she has never really got along with anyone in life, she wasn't the best in the group works. And more poeple just gives her anxiety. The fact that a rude woman was selecting the teams was nerve wracking for Winnie. But on the other hand was the person she had the audition with, Jack. She took deep breaths to maintain her calmness. Hopefully she will go through this day peacefully. Finger crossed.

"Winnie," Muttered Jack, as she was the last one to be selected. She was hurt. It was like old high school days were back, where the mean girls always denied to take her in their teams and she was always left on the last, feeling like a loser; given to or more like forced on a team with unsatisfaction.

Wearing their apron, they all gathered around. "3,2,1 and go."

"So guys, we are going to go with chicken burger and chips." Gave the team caption his opinion.

Winnie didn't like his idea but couldn't contribute or debate against it. But if she doesn't stand, then they might lose. And if they lose, then she'll have to face the dreaded pressure test. Chicken burger and chips, is a nice idea but she thinks the hungry big adults, would desire something more full filling. Burger and chips are something that would captivate kids not adults.

"Maybe we should-" As she tried to reflect her opinion, she was abruptly cut off by a team member.

Not even started a task, she already feels like they are going to lose and she will be in one of those who gets blamed for it. Life isn't easy in any aspect.

...

Wasn't this already expected? Not being a pessimist but she already saw it coming. Her standing here in the pressure test with a black apron.

Even though she tried hard to make those burgers delicious, and even Jack was aware of that. But the other team had to pick the people for pressure test and they chose her as well. Unfair.

Gordon Ramsey put a dish infront of them which was covered. Her heart started beating faster as she wondered, what if there is something that she doesn't know how to cook. There are only 4 people in this elimination round and she doesn't want to be the one going home.

As he slowly raised the cover, to present the dish. Winnie sighed.

Apple Pie. Something so simple but complicated to prepare. However, she gained some confidence in her ownself. She has prepared Applie pies couple of times, those might come in handy.

The time started as all four of them hurried to make an apple pie.

...

At exactly 8 O'clock, he sat down infront of the tv. He was never the one to be watching shows. Never in his life has he entertained himself with Masterchef programme but right now he couldn't help himself but watch it for the sake of Winnie. He needs to be assured that she is unharmed, that no one is mentally abusing her.

And the programme started, he saw how nervous she was. The anger within him risen up as Winnie was the last to be picked in the team.

His hand clenched in a fist, hitting it on the side of the couch he was sitting on. He read her emotions. It was never hard to read her, she was always like an open book. Sometimes he felt he was able to read her thoughts out as well. She was too easy for her own good.

Now that he accepted the term of her in the masterchef show, he doesn't want her to lose. He wants her to stay right there and beat everyone, take the trophy home. He had some plans in mind that he needs to start working on.

I know this all stuff is boring but it is what it is. 💁🏻‍♀️

We need to read all of that in order to have a proper ending. 🤗

And so I wanted to ask, of course I'm not going to give every detail of her in the show. And it wouldn't even make sense if I skip through it all. So how do yall want me to write about it?

And should I make her win or not? I mean, I have it all planned though but I need to know about the reader's opinion, which matters a lot.

And thanks again for reading this book.

'Keep Reading, Keep Voting.'

Stay safe.

Peace ✌🏼
