, 100k 🥳. I am really happy and I appreciate all of you for being so supportive and patient enough to read the story. And we are on chapter 51. I can't believe, we came along this far together.

I am very thankful to all of you.

"Not now." Damien snapped at Melissa who just visited him in the office, wearing the shortest skirt possible.

"But baby, I haven't seen you in a while." He hissed at her voice, clenching the pen in his hand; breaking it into two pieces.

Melissa wasn't fazed by his unpleasent mood, she stood up and came towards him to give him a hug but before she could, he directed her with a serious no, he glared at her as spoke sternly without emotions, "We are done."

"No." Melissa gasped.

"Let me make it clear for you, Rivers. If you don't get out of my face in few minutes, I'll make sure you and your pathetic father regret this."

Though there was no need for him to snap badly at Melissa, Damien couldn't help himself. His relationship with Melissa was all for business, just so he could get a project in Spain, along with her father; that was one of their strategy. It's not like he did this for his own benefit, everyone gained benefit with the project and now that it's done, he doesn't see the point of maintaining the relationship with a girl who jump from one bed to another.

On the other hand, it was another one of his torture inflicted on Winnie, the girl had feelings for him and knowing he was already engaged pained her. He huffed at remembrance.

"But I love you."

He rubbed his forehead at her annoying confession. It was crystal clear Melissa didn't love him, if not for him being good in the bed and her father pressuring her to stick around him.

But either ways, he wouldn't date someone like her. She doesn't have the qualities he is looking for a life partner. Only one girl has it, and he managed to lose her.

His phone rang, he looked at the caller id, his heart raced in hope.

"Did you find something?" He said, picking up.

"Yes, Mr Knight, we got Greyson Davies' location."

"Ok. I'm coming." Cutting the call, he smirked to himself. I'll find you soon, Winnie. He said to himself.

He left the crying Melissa in office not pitying her situation. It's not like she didn't see it coming, she should have been better prepared. He asked the guards outside the building to escort her out and never let her inside the company ever.

He got out of the building; towards his car, he saw Chris leaning against it. Damien raised his eyebrows in question at what might Chris want as of now, he had little to no patience to deal with Chris' shit.

"Now what the fuck do you want?" Damien snapped, pushing Chris out of his way. He unlocked the car and got in, Chris followed him inside the car and sat on the passenger seat.

Damien glared at him in question, "Get out, Christopher, now."

"Did you find anything about her yet?"

"What made you think I'll share the information with you." Stated calmly.

"I'm here to help."

"Again, what made you think I would need your help."

"The girl might be in a serious danger and all you care about is your ego, really?" Chris raised his hands in disbelief.

"You could be involved for all I know."

"I wouldn't do something like that, and we both know it." Chris dared him to say otherwise.

"Help yourself out." He unlocked the door for Chris.

But Chris stubbornly locked it back and proceeded to wear the seat belt.

"You were so quick to judge and never listened to my side of the story, not only making us lose the years of friendship but also the years of Oakley's life."

Damien took a sharp breath in, calming himself. He wasn't in a mood to talk about unnecessary stuff.

It was the best moment to let him about certain thing that he wasn't aware of, "She's back."

"Who?"

"The love of your life."

"Sareh?"

"Sareh," He chuckled. "Can I say that? Of course my dead sister isn't back from her grave."

"Sareh was the only love of my life."

"Amelia,"

Chris scoffed at the name, not getting the point; he became tensed just hearing that name.

"And she kidnapped Winnie."

Chris looked outside of the car, adjusting all the information in his head. If what Damien says, is true then things will be blasted. She has already managed to make them fight and with now her back, Chris doesn't even wanna think what will happen, the kind of games she must be aiming for this time.

But he wasn't gonna leave Damien alone at this. They will find Winnie together. And Chris will make her utter the truth to Damien putting the end to this hatred.

"Okey, let's go and find your Winnie." Said Chris.

"Will you start the car or what?"

Damien huffed in annoyance and started the car acknowledging Chris wasn't going to leave.

"So where are we going?" Chris started.

Damien didn't answer him and with a dead silence, drove the car in fast speed.

As he reached on the exact location, he got out of the car. It was a weird location with not many population around, and judging from the house he wasn't sure any rich man would live here. It looked like a place where a druggie belongs. He shook his head, when they met Gresyon; he claimed to be the owner of restaurant, possibly a lie. He gritted his teeth at the thought about what kind of rough people got their hands around his Winnie.

He went to the house and knocked the door, Chris followed him as well. He waited for a few minutes for someone to open the door but when no one did, he decided to kick the door open.

Getting inside he found the house to be empty, he closed his eyes in frustration. There was nothing, not even any furniture but just bottles of alcohol. The house was reeking alcohol and drugs.

He decided to look around the house, maybe he would be able to find something. Going from one room to another they found nothing.

What a time waste.

"Why are we here?" And Chris was testing his patience at high risk.

Just as they were about to step out, a car stopped infront of the house. Damien grabbed Chris back, hiding both of themselves behind a wall.

He peaked at Greyson who was gonna walk inside.

"Who is he?" Asked Chris, in a whisper.

As soon as Greyson saw the already opened door, his facial expression changed into horror and he turned around to leave.

But before he could, Damien ran towards him and grabbed him by neck.

"We have some business to take care of." He grabbed her inside the house and Chris closed the broken door.

Damien made him sit on the chair as he calmly asked him about Winnie but Greyson was being stubborn and didn't want to utter a word. Damien gave few punch over his jaw and nose, making him bled.

"That's not a good way to make him speak." Said Chris.

"Where is she?" Damien shouted.

"We should involve cops." Another unwanted statement from Chris' side, making Damien lose his control.

"You can fucking leave then." He barked at Chris.

Grabbing Greyson by his collar "You won't cooperate, will you?" Spit out Damien in a gritted tone.

He landed another punch on his jaw. And another. He beat him to pulp until eventually Greyson spilled the details out. He told Damien about Winnie's whereabouts as well as what Amelia wants in return of Winnie. Damien smiled in victory and called the cops to come and catch Greyson, as he was one of the criminal.

...

Winnie had her eyes closed though she was mentally awake. Not aware of what is gonna happen to her, she just prayed for a miraculous help from God. The guards who were guarding her were kind enough to provide her a bottle of water or she wouldn't have survived till now.

Her stomach grumbled, making noise in pain and hunger. She rubbed it to soothe the pain.

"Can I please have something to eat?" She pleaded, nicely. So they could have some pity towards her.

"No." One of them answered.

"But this way I'll die out of starvation." She uttered not being able to control the tears in her eyes. She wish she could go back to a kitchen, where she originally belongs and cook herself a delicious meal. What an irony, the person who cooks for everyone now in starving and no one cares.

"Maybe we should bring her some food." They talked to each other.

Winnie smiled in hope and patiently waited as the discussed and decided that one of them will go and bring her some food.

By then looking at only one guard, Winnie found herself in an opportunity to escape. She stood up, thankfully they didn't have her tied up.

"I'm going to toilet." She spoke.

She went to the toilet where she searched for something for self defence. To her misfortune, there was nothing she could use to distract the guard and escape. And the window along with the toilet wasn't enough to jump out from. She took a look again and her eyes snapped to the mop. That won't really work, but there is no harm to give it a try. Winnie grabbed the stick of the mop, hiding behind her she got out of the toilet. The guard was looking at other direction so she silently sat down, hiding it in a place where he can't see.

"You took long." Commented the guard.

"Do I hear someone knock?" Said Winnie, to divert his attention.

"I don't hear it."

"Someone is knocking, maybe he brought my food."

The guard stepped out of the room to check on the other guard if he's back and as he went out. Winnie stood up with the stick, holding it with both hands in a position, to ready to hit him. As the guard came back in, she hit him hard but not hard enough to cause any physical damage on the forehead. He became distracted for a minute and she took that time to escape out of the door.

Running out she found herself getting lost in a very big and dangerous place. It was an old, unused building, it wasn't even completely build. She turned around to see the guard was following her. She took the staircase to downstairs and just like she reached on the ground floor. But couldn't find a exist.

She was worn out by now, she stood on same place for a moment to take deep breaths. And the guard was nearer then she could think, his hands were about to grab her but she made a run again.

Sudden contact of her foot with a pebble and she fell down on the floor. She hissed in pain at the new wound on knee as well as wrist. She touched her wrist and moaned in pain, it seemed like something broke.

And the guard finally caught her.

Snatching herself from his grip, she bit him hard on his hand. And stood up to continue the run.

Soon she found an exit, and ran out of the building. She took the direction of the road, she ran towards it as fast as she could; the guard still following her. She stopped on her track as she saw the other guard who went out to get food for her coming towards them, but not aware of the situation. She hid herself behind a tree, not coming in the view of any.

She slowly got to the direction of the other road and made a run for her life. Just as she thought, she made it out safe and alive. A sudden car halted from the other direction, bumping into her.
