《His Personal Chef》Chapter 25

"I thought we were going home." I said as we stepped out of car, infront of the office. Boring routine is back. How much time till all this gets over. Each day with him feels like a whole year.
"I don't pay you to stay at home now do I, Miss Smith." I was in no mood to work now. I was still feeling weak. But that's my job, I have to do it. After all yeah, he pays me for it.
As we went to our floor, the last one, his fiance, Melissa, was sitting on the couch reading a magazine. As soon as she saw him, she went running towards him, with a sudden force that pushed him back a little and hugged him. Gross, they even kissed. I have never kissed anyone so I decided to watch the free scene that behold me. There was no lip movement from his side, she seemed like the one in control? If to think about it isn't he the dominant person in relationship.
I noticed his hand pushed her a little back somewhat my heart felt sudden happiness at it. They broke the kiss, leaving a lipstick stain beside his lips. Disguting. She smirked towards me as if signalling me that he is hers. Keep him then. Did she present that whole kissing show just to jealous me? I rolled my eyes at her silly childish acts. Look who seems like a lady but isn't. I tried reading his straight emotioned face, it seemed like he wasn't interested to be here, he'd rather be working instead.
"Where were you, baby?" She asked in her faked pitchy voice. He didn't reply and marched to his office with her following behind, her heels ticking on the floor, making annoying sound.
I sat down on my desk, bored. Hours and hours passed by and all he asked was a cup of coffee. His stupid blonde fiance asked for a lemonade. And I had to get her. I was gonna argue back that I'm not her personal assistant, Damien glared at me. Poor me had to do it.
Now I am just sitting here doing nothing. I thought about asking him on what should my task for today is, but then resting is a better option.
As the lunch time was near, my mobile rang. It was a private number, I was scared to pick up for a moment but anyway, "Hello!"

"Hi, Winnie!"
"Huh!"
"Chris,"
"Oh Chris, how are you?"
"I'm fine and you?"
"Not so much fine." I laughed a little.
"Why did you come to office? you should be resting."
"I am fine." I replied, not wanting to tell him that heartless Damien forced me in.
"It's almost lunch time. Wanna come with me?" As I looked towards the clock, it indeed was.
"Ok!" I cleared my desk, threw the empty cup of raspberry tea that I drank earlier on the garbage can.
Where did he even get my number from. I don't remember giving it. I stood up and before leaving for lunch, I thought to go ask Damien if he needs anything. But I didn't, instead I just went off.
Chris was waiting for me in the lobby, gave me a wink as I went to him. "Looking beautiful as ever, angel." I blushed. He took my hands in his as we went out of the building.
His hands were nothing like Damien, his hands were warm. But I didn't really like the feeling of his hands on mine. So I softly jerked it away. I think he noticed cause he turned towards me but didn't say anything.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"To eat somewhere." I wasn't really in a mood to eat junks and unhealthy stuff but I agreed.
As he was driving, I couldn't help my curiosity and asked, "Why did you have a fight with Damien yesterday?"
"Forget it, Winnie." How can I?
"The curiosity kills me." I huffed, pinching my nose. I am so deadly curious.
"Something about past, Winnie. Can we not talk about it please?" I pouted, Alright. Ok maybe next time, Chris.
Soon he found a fancy restaurant which looked pretty expensive, I hope the bill is on him cause I don't have a single cent on me. I am not one of those who always ask others to pay for them, like that's just cheating and taking advantage of other's kindness. But I'm broke and in my defence it was his idea though I remember I now owe him a suit and a lunch.
As we sat in the resturant, I saw the menu. And let me tell you the meal was more expensive then my grocery of the month would be. How are these men so rich. I was once rich like this too. It's funny when I was rich I never thought twice before spending money and now I have to calculate how much of my money would be left even if I buy a cup of coffee from out. Yeah! This is how much broke I am. Pitying my own self.

I was uncomfortable to order now. I don't wanna waste his money on this much food. A waiter came and Chris placed his order, "Can I get spaghetti and meat balls please?" I was still reading the menu, giving Chris a confused look. He told the waiter to get me the same. And I thanked him. Well that went awkward, I shouldn't have come in the first place.
"So Winnie, would you tell me how you fainted?"
"Stress consumed me." I said playing with the empty glass.
"None of his assistant ever stick around cause he makes them frustrated with their life. I won't be surprised if you do the same in few weeks."
I laughed a little, "I don't have much of a choice."
"What do you mean by that?" He raised his eyebrows at me. Should I tell him?
"My father, he took money from Damien." We were served our dishes. As we ate, he asked me to continue.
"So I'm paying my father's debt."
"How much?"
"15 million."
"Are you fucking serious?" I nodded.
"Is Damien asking you to pay his 15 millions back?" I nodded again.
"I can give you the money to pay him back then you'll be out of his life." Huh!
"Yeah! but then I'll have a debt towards you."
"No! you don't have to return me my money. Trust me 15 millions are nothing to me, or to Damien, and he's 10 times more rich then me. Why is he making you pay all of it back when it won't make a change towards his life?"
I kind of knew that 15 millions must be nothing for a billionaire like Damien so that's why I'm not hurt. I was told by my father to pay all of the money back so I will. "He works really hard for it though." Maybe that's why he wants it back. Like for real he works day and night.
"Yeah! But he donates millions per month for charity so he can just let you go." But I'm not some charity case. I was a little hurt at that statement but chose to ignore it hard.
"Thank you for considering helping me, Chris, I'll be fine." I said, as I ate the last bite of my food.
I looked at the time my lunch break was almost over. I panicked and asked Chris to drive me back fast. Through the whole ride, Chris was talling me to calm down but I couldn't. If Damien needs me and I'm not there then I'm done. Salary deducted.
I ran to my floor and Damien was standing there beside my table. He heard my steps coming and turned to face me.
"Where were you, Miss Smith?" He asked, somewhat in a clam tone.
"With me," A voice from beside me said. Gosh why did he come all the way up with me. Chris put his hand on my back and I was puzzled. Why did he do that? I noticed as Damien's expression changed from calm to cold and anger.
"Where were you when I required your assistance, Miss Smith." Chris was practically side hugging me, I noticed his eyes, they were staring at Damien's as if provoking him, challenging him to do something.
"I...-" He didn't let me finish and continued.
"Flirting inside my office is not an option, Miss Smith. Calm your inner whore."
Whore.
How can he call me such unpleasant words and get away with it.
"Mind your tongue, Damien." Snapped Chris. And I wiggled out of his hold.
"Show yourself out, Christopher. Before I decide to close this deal." Chris stayed quiet and turned around to leave. I didn't look at him. I was way too embarrassed. It's not the first time Damien called me names, but doing it in front of Chris, he kind of broke me a little with it.
"Sorry!" I said in a low voice with my head down. There were thousands of words I wanted to say back. I wanted to curse this man in and out. But I cannot.
"Back to work, Miss Smith."

8 212Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
