《His Personal Chef》Chapter 19

"People become very dangerous when they know how to control their feelings."

"I can't." I muttered to him as we stood in front of his grave with hundreds of people surrounding us, where I'm supposed to give the eulogy.

"Miss Smith,..-"

"Please don't force me. Not in this." I let my emotions out. As I cried more in front of him.

"Fine." He took a deep breath.

"I'll send these people away." I nodded.

Sometime later everyone was gone. He did it fast. Should I like thank him for he helped me with all this? He is the one who arranged and paid for all the expenses of the funeral.

He walked towards me, "I'll drop you home." He said.

"Thank you for arranging this."

"Don't thank me, Miss Smith, after all another debt has been added on the list." His words were not harsh, he softly spoke it. I didn't mind it either. I would be a coward if I don't return him his money that was spent on my father's grave. It wouldn't be fair for my father.

I nodded as I turned around to leave. I don't want to go with him. I'm not really in the mood of dealing with his coldness right now. Such toxicity of not having any emotions.

He followed me all the way to my car. I noticed my driver wasn't there. When did he leave.

"You can't drive in this state, Miss Smith." He said as I was about to get into my car.

I looked at him and gave the expression, 'And why do you care?' He stayed silent for a moment. "Stupid woman." He muttered under his breath.

"You can't drive in this state, Miss Smith." He said once more in very an authoritative voice. Does he think I'll listen to him?

"And you care? why?" I said back, almost snapping.

"Because I can't have you to die before paying my money back." I almost laughed. So people are all about money, true that. This man is a multi billionaire and he still wants me to pay him back every penny, not that I am complaining about it. It just seems very stupid, if he wants he can just let it go. But then my inner self won't let me off without paying someone's money that was used on me once. The fact that mere amount; at least for him, if not payed back, will not really cause his bank account to get empty has me wondering how much he values money. I couldn't help but erupt into fits of laughter. But maybe he values it more because he works hard for it. I mean I know it. Working as his assistant I learned one thing about him. If to describe Damien Knight in one word; that would be 'workaholic.' He has this kind of passion within him that whoever he goes, he attracts success.

"Fine," I muttered. As I closed the door of my car and went towards his. There was no driver in this car either. Is he gonna drive? Where should I sit? Ugh! I rubbed my temples in frustration. I don't have time for this nonsense.

I took the backseat of the car as he got in the driver seat. He cleared his throat and I looked up at the front mirror to see him already glancing at me.

"I'm not your driver, Miss Smith. Come sit in front." I rolled my eyes but didn't move from my seat.

"I am comfortable here." I said adjusting my position.

"If you don't come in front right now, Miss Smith, I'll double the debt." I looked at him, shocked.

I gaped at him through the mirror. "You won't."

"Try me, Miss Smith." There was clear amusement in his captivating blue eyes.

Can he really?

"You know when your father took money from me. He signed a written contract which said he will pay me back the double amount from that he was taking." He continued.

Did you, dad?

I took a sharp breath. So from now this is how I'm gonna spend my life?

Having to obey him everytime.

"So I have to listen to your commands and orders until and unless I clear this debt." I couldn't help but say it.

"Exactly," His eyes were shining like they never did before. He really enjoying my misery, wasn't he?

I didn't say a word back. Silently I took the seat in front as he drove us to my home.

"It was a long day." He said, breaking the silence. I ignored him and looked at the road. I just want to get out away from his presence.

Such a Lucifer.

Always enjoying inflicting torment on others.

As we reached my home. I saw some man in suit standing outside the hosue, taking a look at it? why?

I looked at Damien, he looked at them too and back at me in question; wondering the same.

We got out of the car.

"Good Afternoon, Miss Smith." The bald man in his what seemed like early 40s said.

I nodded at him. Not really greeting him back. Call me rude; but this man is not giving me good vibes.

"Who are you?" Damien asked the man.

The man instead of answering to Damien, he looked at me. "Miss Smith, I must say you're such a young delicate beauty. I didn't know David had such a gem." He licked his lips and there was creepy kind of lust in his eyes. I shivered in fear at that.

"What do you want?" Damien asked the bald man again, this time his tone sounded angrier then ever. His face was red and his eyes were the darkest shade of blue. I don't think I have ever really seen him this much anry.

"David Smith, borrowed money from me long ago." Oh no! Dad, from how many people?

I closed my eyes as my heart tightens at the new information.

"And in the contract the rules were if he does not pay the money back till November 2019 then I can seize his mansion." I looked at him in horror.

"However I have different ways on how you can pay me." The man continued to my horror. I was about to lose it.

"How much is it?" Asked Damien in a very vexed tone. Tell me why is he getting annoyed with all this? Shouldn't he be in the side with popcorns and coke, enjoying my misery?

"2 million." I gasped at the amount..

What were you even doing with 2 million, dad. Was Damien not enough to take money from?

I sighed in frustration.

"One night." The man said, shamelessly. My eyes widened at the his words. Please god don't let him say what I think he was saying.

"All you need to give me is one of your nights and consider your depth done." At that time, I already lost it. I broke down infront of three man. I let my tears out. Does he not have any shame to ask a woman such things that too infront of others.

This man is gonna take my house from me and in return I have to give myself to him otherwise I lose a roof to stay in.

"I'm sure you don't want the world to hear your creep self, Mr Carter." Damien said. Why is he even still here?

"I'll ask my lawyer to contact yours with the money that was due on David. Leave the girl alone." He continued. Is Damien really helping me? but then again I know I'll have to pay him this money back too. Another debt, check.

I glanced at Damien, giving him a look he does not really have to do this, that I can manage myself. But at the same time I really needed help.

"But it's the mansion I'm interested in." I took a deep breath in. Tell me he won't take my home away from me.

"But..-"

"No buts its either a night with you or the mansion." The creepy old man said as he smiled creepily.

"Mr Carter, if you value your self respect and your company, you won't utter a single more word." Damien gave him a glare that seemed to shut him up.

"I'm taking the mansion then." The man said as he pointed towards me, "Since I'm the new legal owner now, you're not allowed in anymore."
