《His Personal Chef》Chapter 17

"Why would you do that?" Asked Winnie as they got inside the car. She couldn't believe he called the deal off just like that. It felt like a waste coming to Paris, the time she could have spent with her father.
"Who are you to question me, Miss Smith?" He said, looking outside the window.
She huffed in irritation, "It was a complete waste of time then." She continued getting more annoyed.
"You're getting paid so I suggest shut your pretty little mouth, Miss Smith." He said, coldly, shutting Winnie up.
Moments later the car stopped infront of what looked like an expensive resturant. Damien got out of the car without directing Winnie to do the same. Winnie sat still until he knocked on the window with his fingers, the window opened, "Do I need to give you an invitation to get out, Miss Smith."
Winnie got out of the car not really wanting to be here. She wanted to go back to New York to her father; who needs her too much at the moment.
She followed him inside the fancy resturant where the manager directed them to a VIP's room. There was a table in the middle of the room with 2 chairs. It was decorated with what seemed like all different colored roses. The flowers in the room somewhat gave Winnie a hope not to be sad for her father, their scent were enough to cheer her. If her father wasn't on his death bad, she would totally cherish this very moment. The Eiffel tower was visible from the window, as it stood as bright as ever with the lights on. Indeed Paris is a love city.
Damien sat in the chair and took off his coat. He looked at Winnie who was still standing, dumbly looking around the room yet admiring it.

"Why are we here?" She asked, her face not really showing any kind of emotions as she sat on the chair opposite.
"Why do people come to a resturant, Miss Smith?" He shook his head at her. They fell into a long silence until a waiter came with their food.
"Bonjour Mr & Mrs Knight," The waiter greeted as he put plates infront of them. Damien scoffed at that, and chuckled, finding it quiet amusing. Winnie on the other hand was not happy on how the waiter practically associated her with Damien, she does not want to be called by his name ever,"We are not a couple." She explained to the waiter. The waiter passed her an apologetic look with a satisfied smile and poured beer on their glasses. "Can I get a fanta instead?" The waiter nodded and went out to get her a fanta.
Damien served himself while Winnie didn't bother. He finished his plate and went for second round. He seemed to enjoy the food. He was half way through his second plate when he noticed her plate empty, nothing in it, "Just eat it, Miss Smith." He sighed
"I am not hungry." She replied, standing up, going towards the window. In the city of love, she was feeling loveless, empty, there was no love in her life. There was a feeling inside her that something bad is about to happen and that it could be related to her father, she is just feeling sad and alone, not having any appetite.
A loud bang voice came as spoon contacted plate in a sudden force. He stood up from his chair and grabbed her by her shoulder. "What's up with this drama?" His voice was somewhat calm.
"I don't want to eat. Leave me alone, Mr Knight." Her expression were shouting but her voice came in a whisper.

There was a knock on the door and the same waiter from earlier entered the room with their desert. As he placed the desert on the table and coughed a little to get Winnie's attention but also got Damien's.
"You said you're not a couple?" His question was directed towards Winnie but was answered by Damien, "That's none of your business." Snapped Damien, angrily.
The waiter ignored Damien comment and looked at Winnie as he passed a small paper to her, "If you ever come to Paris again, I'll be glad to be on your service for a tour." Winnie took the paper from him which had his number and passed him a genuine smile. Though she wasn't really gonna contact him but she didn't want to be b!tch by telling that on his face.
As soon as the waiter left. Damien snatched the paper from Winnie. His eyes were dark red, he looked ready to punch anyone or anything that comes his way. Winnie flinched at the thought of him getting aggressive, or out of control.
"Why are you always flirting?" He snapped as he tore the paper into small pieces. Winnie gasped at his reaction, couldn't believe he tore it away.
"You just did not do that." She snapped.
Ignoring her, Damien took his phone out and called someone. "It's Damien Knight speaking, I want you to dismiss the waiter that was appointed to serve me today." He spoke calmly, Winnie couldn't believe her ears. How could he be so heartless, going to the levels of using his powers just to make someone unemployed is beyond humanity.
"You can't just do that." Her voice was broke. It hurts her to know how he can make someone's life a hell with just by a phone call. If she knew about this four years ago, she would have never fallen for his arrogant self.
"Shut up, Miss Smith. Unless you want to be unemployed too." He goes on, glaring at her. Not at all guilty by his actions.
"I don't understand how cruel and heartless you can be." Her tears were on the edge. "How can I even fall for such a monster." She was talking to herself yet he could hear her every word. "Behaving like a emotionless cold asshole won't help you in anyway, Mr Knight."
"Shut up," He growled.
"Please give him his job back. If I didn't know any better I'd say you are jealous." She chuckled to herself, finding it hilarious Damien getting jealous. But why would he be jealous? "But I know what pissed you off, the waiter didn't really give you any attention." Damien took a deep breath in as she continued, "You cannot expect the world to be on your feet, Mr Knight." Damien didn't say anything back, leaving the bill on the table, he left. Winnie of course followed him.
