"If no one hates you then you're not succeeding."

"Go get ready now." Said Damien to Winnie after he was done with plastering her tiny little cut.

Winnie groaned, feeling little tired, didn't want to attend the meeting. She looked at Damien with a little hope, "I'm tired." She muttered in a low voice, no wanting him to hear but at the same time hoping he'd hear it.

He looked at her, one eyebrows raised, in question, "Did you say something?" Winnie knew he heard her but pretended like he didn't.

She pouted changing the topic of course she has to be present in the meeting,"I think the alcohol you poured in my cut is getting me all drunk." She said, closing her eyes. Feeling tipsy not because of alcohol but of nap. She just wanted to sleep.

"Hear yourself, Miss Smith, You sound no less then a fool." He took a look towards her, "Little girl," He muttered underneath his breath but she heard him.

"Would you stop calling me a little girl. I'm not little anymore." She said as she stood up.

"I can very well see that." He said. And Winnie swore she saw him taking full view of her body, licking his lips as well as smirking. Was he checking her out?

...

She settled in wearing her red sundress which reached her middle thigh with comfortable heels. She let her hair down naturally, and put a gloss making her lips a little shiny.

She heard her room being knocked over and over again by an impatient Damien. She sprayed her perfume on herself, which her dad bought her for her 20th birthday. It made her sad thinking about her father. Just this day to go, she told herself. Tomorrow they are going back.

"You took forev.-" Damien stopped in middle sentence as he looked at her up to down. Head to hoe. Again and again before snapping out of it.

Winnie felt nervous yet confident when he checked her out. The moment she also took in checking him out. As he stood there as confident as ever with his suit on. God why did you create him in such a unique way, she complained to God.

"Let's go," He said as he went out, with Winnie following him.

They both sat inside the car as Edwards drove them to the enterprise where the meeting is supposed to held. As they reached, Winnie saw Chris Christopher standing outside the building.

"Winnie," Said Chris as he spotted her. Winnie smiled at his direction and made her way to him.

"I'm so sorry for ruining your suit, Chris. I know it must have cost alot and I promise I'll buy you a new one but please don't be angry with me, it was an accid...-" Chris cut Winnie off by placing his hand on her mouth.

"Ssh!" He shushed her, his hand was still on his mouth.

"Miss Smith," As soon as Chris heard Damien's voice, he took his hand off her mouth.

"I don't pay you for flirting around." Damien's said in angry voice.

"We were not...-"

"Follow me." He said rudely cutting her off.

"What am I gonna do with this man." Winnie muttered under her breath, sending an apologetic look towards Chris as she followed the angry bird inside the building.

They were lead inside a conference room. Damien sat on the chair, comfortably, with his laptop on the table, acting like he owns the place. Winnie nervously stood beside his chair. Later Chris entered too, giving Winnie a wink. She hoped Damien didn't see it. He won't leave another opportunity at acussing her of flirting, he started typing furiously on the laptop making Winnie more nervous.

Soon a man in his early 50s entered the room. The man screamed rich aura. His eyes roomed around the room and stuck on Winnie.

"Where have you been all my life?" The old man said, coming forward towards Winnie and out of sudden embracing her in a big hug. He behaved like they were some childhood lost friend. Winnie felt uncomfortable as she tried to free herself from him.

Chris didn't like the way he was holding her but before he could say anything,

Damien cleared his throat as he spoke, "Let my assistant be, Mr Jefferson." in a strict business tone.

"Oh! Damien, she's with you?" Damien didn't answer with words rather he answered with his eyes giving the old man sharp message; stay away.

The old man didn't care about Damien's hard glare as he continued with Winnie, "You're such a breathtaking beauty, what do you say your name is?"

"Miss Smith." She said, not really wanting to tell him her real name.

"Can we start the meeting already, Mr Jefferson?" Said Chris, annoyed with the old man flirty actions.

"Ofcourse, Chris, You can sit down there, sweety." Mr Jefferson directed Winnie towards the seat where beside he is supposed to sit. Winnie nodded and sat there, feeling edgy, didn't want to be called sweety by an old man like him. She would consider him as a father figure but he was giving her creepy vibes.

Mr Jeffesrson sat on the seat beside her. He smiled to himself before continuing.

"So Damien what would I gain by working with you?" Mr Jefferson said, eyeing Winnie; who was looking down at her lap.

"I'd ask the same question, Mr Jefferson." Damien retorted back.

Mr Jefferson looked puzzled up and turned his attention towards Chris, "And what do you say, Chris?"

"Working with Damien and I, it will benefit us three in every way, Mr Jefferson." Chris concluded.

"I'm gonna invest same amount of money as yours and Damien but I don't get the same benefit, why would I take such an offer, Mr Christopher?" Winnie looked at Damien, he was relaxed on his seat as if he found it very commodious. What a jerk; maybe if he asked her to sit beside him, she wouldn't be sitting beside some scumbag.

"You do know Knight Enterprise is one of the strongest Enterprise out there, right, Mr Jefferson?" Chris stated. "Mine is like the third best." He continued, praising himself in the middle. "And so the real question is why should we do this project with you, Mr Jefferson?" This time Damien asked in an authoritative voice like telling everyone in the room who has the upper hand.

"I was just joking around, Damien, ofcourse it's all my pleasure to work with you." Mr Jefferson said, giving a smile to Damien. "And you." He said to Winnie. Mr Jefferson looked enthusiastic, excited for the project.

Winnie was listening to the conversation quietly; not really giving her input. She felt a hand caressing her thighs, she looked at the hand, very wrinkly and cheap. She pushed the hand and moved her chair a little away. Seconds later the same hand appeared on her thighs, she looked at Damien for help but he wasn't really aware of the situation in front of him and she cannot disturb the important meeting. She again moved the hand away but before she could push it, his hand held her hand on his. He hold her hand tightly.

"But we need someone from Knight Enterprise to stay in Paris for few days till we finish the project and who's better then your assista..-"

But before Mr Jefferson could finish what he was talking about, Damien shut his laptop, he stood up and looked at Winnie, wating for her to get up too. Winnie stood up fast and went towards him. "The deal is off, Mr Jefferson." He stated as he grabbed his laptop as well as Winnie's hand on his as they got out.
