《Conquer {BLEACH}》(82)

“What are you going to do now?” Szayel asked.
He was looking at Agito, somber now that his hysteria had drained out of him. Her white suit was in tatters, blood stains nearly black and crusted from her chin down to her chest. Her long blue hair was loose and unkept. She did not look well. Her eyes had lost their luster, red from crying and dark purple bruises haunting.
“I’ll do what I’ve always done,” she said, “Take care of the problem.”
“The longer he grows, the more difficult it is to kill him,” he said, alluding to the real problem.
“It’s a good thing I know what to do then,” she said, for she did.
Agito had found out what Aizen had done. As she had taken pieces of souls from her three trusted Espada to save after their death should the war take their life, so had Aizen. He took just a small bit of his own soul and without her consent or knowledge, had implanted the piece inside her.
Now the piece dwelled within her, feeding off her energy. Most likely, she will die. It wasn't a babe, it was parasitic in nature. Aizen would never be kind enough to make the process seem like a pregnancy. Agito would be eaten from the inside out, her soul offered as food to his reincarnation. The man probably believed that his parasite would be eating a Shinigami soul, prime with power, and not this sad Plus Soul existence. She was going to die. Horribly and quickly if she didn't do something. Good thing she knew how to get rid of it.
“I need to go back to Soul Society,” she said, with grim determination.
“That's your plan?” Szayel asked, “I took you for depressed, not suicidal.”

“What would you have me do?” Agito demanded angrily, “You can't tear this thing out, it's embedded into my soul! It won't take but a month before Aizen breathes again so unless you have an immediate plan, I’m out of options!”
“And what of us?” Szayel also demanded.
“What about you?”
“You came back!” Szayel stood up from his seat to truly emphasize his point, “You can begin the future of Arrancars! You have the knowledge, the skill, I can give you the power, everything! You have the followers so stay and become a real Reina!”
Agito flinched back as if she were slapped. Seeing the reaction, Szayel calmed down enough to articulate, “You care about the Arrancars and though I would be the first to send you back to your Shinigami roots in a heartbeat, I still recognise that you are our best chance of social evolution.
“You were given Arrancars and you made soldiers. You made soldiers and trained them Espada. You took the Espada and found them worthy of existence. That is more than Aizen or anyone has ever offered. I hate you so much but you are still Reina.”
“I am not building another army,” Agito hissed, an old anger stirring in her heart.
“That’s not the point!” Szayel tried again, “You’re a tactician, you tell me what happens when the leader of a country suddenly falls and the military is torn to shreds? Chaos! It’s a huge power vacuum as everyone climbs the ranks. Who will take Aizen’s place? It should be you! You already know all of this, why don’t you just take the throne for yourself before the murdering starts and end the rebellion before it has even begun?”
She offered only silence. She was a War General, one who was even acknowledged by the Gotei Juu-San as a genius. In the Academy she was taught economy, government, social studies, and enough history to know how history rhymes. Her various sensei’s of combat have trained her in battle techniques and sequences. Her own natural viciousness all formulated together to make her one of the most prolific strategists in Gotei Juu-san. Aizen harvested the rewards, using Agito to plan out the entire Winter War.

Agito planned it all out. She won.
And now for the aftermath. She knew what to do. Her own training was complete when she learned espionage, assassination, and usurpation. She might not have needed her knowledge but she had it. To take control of a foreign society with little to no backlash. Agito could claim Hueco Mundo for herself.
She could be Queen.
But she shook her head and said, “Hueco Mundo doesn’t need another tyrant. Nor does it need another outsider telling its people what to do. If you’re so worried about the chaos, just ride it out until someone is crowned. The birth of a new empire can’t start without blood.”
“So that’s it? You’ve come back and now you’ll leave us all again?”
“You are not children, Szayel,” Agito said before turning away for one final time, “You never needed me to survive and you won’t need me to begin what’s already been started.”
“And what will I tell them when they ask for you,” he asked, “Stark and Ulquiorra won’t be back for some time but Grimmjow … he’ll be in search for you soon.”
Agito couldn’t say. For so long she was alone, only relatively recent did she gather those she considered hers together to protect them. Her Espada were much more than favorite soldiers and maybe in another world she could be convinced to stay with them in Hueco Mundo. But this was not that world.
“Tell them I’m dead,” she said, “Tell them I kept my promise. Make sure that they don’t try looking for me. It was be a suicidal effort.”
“They won’t believe me. I’m a liar by nature, they'll never believe me.”
“That sounds like a ‘you’ problem,” she said before turning to her bracelet. With a single tap of the green button, a senkaimon was opened before her and she fell through the gate for it to shut immediately afterwards.
Szayel starred as the numbness of her absence spread from his chest. His hands shook. His knees trembled. Before no one but his reflection and the two embryo souls, did he scream in desperation.
The world seemed darker.
...
The senkaimon opened and Agito Diabolos fell through the gate.
She landed in a crouch, dirt crunching beneath her feet. The sound of multiple drawn blades welcomed her to Seireitei, shinigami’s both seated and unseated getting over their surprise and recognising the woman who orchestrated the Winter War behind Aizen.
Slowly, she raised her hands in the air in a show of surrender.
“I submit myself for judgement,”

Dreamland
Dolores is a lucky girl with a high-level avatar in a very popular game. She did not level it up; she got it through some fortunate circumstances. She is not interested in fighting and levelling; all she wants is to have some fun and follow her own fantasies. If only there would not be all those idiots who intend to kill her, capture her, or simply use her. And those flaws in the game! Wait, what? Those pesky game characters now appear in the real world? And they can do magic? How did this happen? Adding to her troubles, her crush does not even look at her. As Dolores tries only to survive and hide between 'normal' people, she encounters stranger and stranger things that force her hand and, in the end, she has the answers to a lot of questions. It is a slow-developing story. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope to share it with you, dear reader if you also enjoy it. On the other hand, putting it in an acceptable form requires much work and energy. I intend to bring it to its end and not let it unfinished. I hate it when I encounter unfinished stories, so I understand the feeling. This is not a classical isekai story. There is travel between the two worlds, and the game world seems to be so very real... well, this is one plot of the story. This is not an MMORP game story. Part of the action happens inside a game world, but it is treated as a real world. Updates on a weekly basis, at least Monday and Friday, with additional bonus chapters as time and energy allow. Cover art: White Flower as A Dark Fairy by Darkrealmsmaiden Yolanda gracefully allowed me to use her dark fairy as cover. There are many more beautiful works of art to be discovered at her site: https://www.deviantart.com/darkrealmsmaiden Additional Grammar Trigger Warning: As a non-native speaker, I do my best. Unfortunately, this is not enough for people with a low tolerance for warped sentences and... they may want to skip the story :( Well, you have been warned :) I appreciate it when a reader points out a sentence that needs rework. That may spare a follow-up reader some pain and helps me understand where my English grammar problems are. * We thought we made the best game in Earth's history We thought we made the best interfaces ever seen We thought we made it - lifelike But it far exceeded our expectations. Dolores, I hope you're happy now. I hope you're alive now...
