Agito was gone.
Gin was alone.
He betrayed Aizen alone.
He sat a little ways away from Aizen's body with the giant hole in it. A chunk of his arm was gone because Aizen went to grab him and tore flesh when Gin jerked away. In the palm of his hand was the purple jewel, the Hougyoku.
"It's finally over," he murmured, relief easing through him. Centuries had gone by since he had first made his plans. Every single step of his road as a Shinigami was a chess match against the master. Agito hated having to live under Aizen's thumb for a century? Try two.
But the pay out was worth it. The man who hurt his friend Matsumoto laid dying, he had the power to give what was taken away.
There was a loud boom that shook the ground.
Gin looked out of his resting spot to exactly where Aizen's dead body was suppose to lay but there was a huge plume of energy, like that of a nuclear explosion, billowing up into the sky. And in the heart of the explosion was Aizen in a sphere of omnipresent protection. His power and self had transformed once again. There were now three sets of pure white butterfly wings.
"Victory is mine Gin," this monstrous Aizen said, his voice not even rising a decibel but still heard throughout the sleeping town, "Even if it is not inside me the Hougyoku that you have pilfered already belongs to me."
Gin was suddenly aware of the orb in his hand, turning hot with power and glowing.
"What the hell is this-?" he asked, struck dumb with the events that followed his betrayal. Aizen was still alive, and the jewel he had thought would end the war was now calling for its master.
Aizen came.
Gin had barely time to turn around. Aizen raised his hand to cleave through his subordinate's chest, a soft smile of kindness across his face.
Gin heard the toll bells of death in his head.
"I told you."
Aizen's swipe would have been so fast that it wouldn't have been dessernable to anyone's eyes but somehow it was caught.
Gin's eyes widened with recognition to see the blood red cape, the blue head of hair, the burning hot reiatsu of his friend and once sensei. To feel her presence there, blocking Aizen's death strike with her power rolling off her in familiar heat waves, it struck him with the sudden sense of smallness. He was reminded that he once called her Diabolos-sensei and meant it every time.
"When I betray you," she said to Aizen who was stunned to see her arrival and her impossible feat to catch his strike with her bare palm, "You would never see it coming."
Agito pushed back Aizen, grabbed Gin and nearly flew away from the scene, only needing a few seconds of spare time. She landed on a Karakura roof top and she dropped Gin who fell to his knees, experiencing whiplash from being around such god-governing presences and blood loss.
"Find your friend," Agito ordered, "Find the humans. Isshin Kurosaki is here and he'll heal both yours and Matsumoto-san's wounds. Ichigo Kurosaki will be with them."
"Will he now?"
Both Gin and Agito whipped around to see that Aizen had already found them and he didn't look pleased. Gin began to sweat, afraid of death, afraid to leave behind Matsumoto because he's heard his death toll already it's much too soon-
But Diabolos-sensei stood in between him and the demi-god standing before them. Gin looked at her, seeing how strong she was and how untouched from fear her reiatsu claimed to be and he found his faith. He found faith that his sensei would save them all.

"I guess then I shall go find the boy," Aizen said, his cruelty mixing in his words, "I shall find him and kill all of his friends before his eyes. Then I shall take him to you and make you watch as I break him piece by piece. Your Chosen One is nothing but a weapon forged by me. No mortal shall ever dare rise against his god!"
"Shut up." Aizen's megalomaniac rantings was cut off by Agito's worn patience. "I'm tired of listening to you talk so much. Shut the fuck up and let the adult talk now."
Agito, with Michael already unsheathed, slouched from her ready stance, absolutely careless with how she held her sword or presented to Aizen. Her reiatsu spiked up higher and higher until the building and the surrounding city rumbled under the strain of fire and brimstone. Agito's eyes bled blood red, her golden iris' suddenly glowing with holy light.
"Bankai: Doragon o korosu, מִיכָאֵל!"
A star fell from heaven. The sky blackened and the star fell in a ball of bright white flames crested in blood red. The falling star became the only light in the world.
And it merged with Agito.
No one but Aizen saw the transformation from shinigami to archangel. He saw her hair burst into black fire, and upon her brow came a crown with blood red wings streaking back like the helmet of a valkyrie. Upon her back was three sets of blood red wings, larger than life and absolutely intimidating, all muscle and power with each ruffle of feathers. She was armored from her throat to her feet, decked in gold and encrusted with garnets, obsidian, and the fangs of dragons.
In her hand was a sword no more, but a spear of bronze carved with ancient language so old not even מִיכָאֵל could read the script and tipped with the fang of a leviathan, an enemy of the gods from an era long passed. If Agito glowed golden with power, her spear oozed black energy like a cursed, demonic weapon.
She glowed with power, in heat. Her presence was a blood curdling scream and the world bowed its head in reverence.
'Come!' Existence screamed, 'Come and behold War and his Beholden of one mind, body and soul!'
For that was the price Agito had to pay for bankai. Her soul as a shinigami had been torn assunder and clasped back together with מִיכָאֵל in his most powerful. The blood red of her golden eyes symbolized their union together. Agito's reiatsu was once ridiculous but with מִיכָאֵל magnifying it, it was on Aizen's level. Or really, Aizen was finally on their level of power.
"You cannot run from Destiny anymore, Sousuke," Agito and מִיכָאֵל said together, throwing his words back at him.
"Hahaha!" Aizen laughed uproariously, "This is what will defeat me?! Surely one measly bankai-"
"Your limited knowledge of the gods and spirits shows with what you believe a comparison is," Agito cut Aizen off, so tired of having to listen to the man speak that she was willing to cut out his tongue.
"You are still no match for me, girl," Aizen said, "You have fused with your zanpakuto! Your desperate attempt to reach the peak of power will never reach the level of me subjugating the Hougyoku to my will!"
"Fool," she said, "After all this talk, you still think on the level of a shinigami.
"Zanpakuto? מִיכָאֵל was never such a thing. You are all blinded with the belief that there are no other spirits out there other than yourselves. You believe מִיכָאֵל a zanpakuto because that's all you understand. No, Aizen. You have reached the threshold of immortality. מִיכָאֵל has been here to witness your rebirth."

Aizen's eyes widened, pupils dilating as her words rang true and he understood what she was saying. Agito unfurled her blood red wings, opening so wide that the sun was cast in shadow. From מִיכָאֵל arrival down to the plane of existence to be felt, dark purple thunderclouds started rolling in, heavy with lightning.
"The gods have been waiting for you, Sousuke Aizen. They want to kill you."
Agito raised her arms up and the sky burst into a terrifying show of lightning screeching across the sky and striking down to earth.
Aizen also raised his arms to mirror Agito. In his hand was his zanpakuto that he clung to tightly.
"And they may try!" he challenged arrogant, "But I have the Hougyoku and-"
Across Aizen's face came Agito's hand that grabbed him and with a single push of her wings, she flew them up into the thunder clouds.
"The gods do not fight with the limit of the earth," Agito said as they flew higher and higher, the wind turning ice cold and lightning circled around them like an audience of the gods. When they were up high enough that the cloud cover erased their sight from the ground, Agito threw him away and spun her spear in the air, warming up to the weight of the spear in her hand.
Aizen caught himself on a step of reishi, his wings utterly useless with keeping him up in the air.
"What is this?" Aizen demanded, not understanding. Agito ... he always perceived Agito as weak. She was once afraid of her zanpakuto. She had kept her abilities secret because she was so afraid with her gift of death. It was so easy to bind her down: with her family, friends, and love. She struggled so weakly under his thumb and she showed no promise beyond her inherent violence, her cunning mind of war.
But now she was impossibly strong.
Strong enough to be his match.
But that was impossible.
"What did you do?!" he demanded.
"You are undeserving of an answer," Agito replied.
"But I am a god! You are nothing! I have bent the Hougyoku to my will! I have enslaved all of Soul Society! I have raised and destroyed Hollows and crushed the human resistance! Why are you the one who stands before me! You were nothing but a rabid dog!"
"The one thing you never understood," Agito said with unnatural coldness, "Is that a god doesn't need acknowledgment to be what they are. You can shout to the heavens that you are among the immortal all you want, but it'll never change the fact that you are simply insecure about your own mortality. You ... claiming to be so superior to everyone else, have never understood your place in the hierarchy of the cosmos and beyond."
"Wha-"
"You are nothing more than a slightly bigger ant," she said brutally, "But a slightly bigger ant is always an eyesore to the uniformity of the anthill. Frankly, all your talk of greatness is making me deaf with stupidity. A real god doesn't have to brag, they already are. They don't have to regale you with their achievements, they already are. They don't need of your fear, worship, or respect, for they already are. You are no real god and for that will you be stripped of your title, your power your life."
"What about you?" Aizen questioned, enraged with the blasphemy Agito dared to speak before him. "You are still just an ant along with the rest of us."
"Me?" Agito said, her golden-blood red eyes burning, her hair flickering with black fire and her wings still outstretched to cover the entirety of Karakura Town with their length, "Haven't you heard? I'm the Beholden."
Done with talking, Agito flashed forward to attack with her war spear. Aizen was lucky enough to block it. Agito's swipe of her spear tore the clouds apart and thunder started screaming around them as lightning zinged back and forth.
Agito jabbed the butt of her spear back, skillfully flipping Aizen over to stab her spear through his chest. Aizen dropped out of her reach and used his wings to flutter away, needing the distance for his next attack.
"Hadou Kyuu-Juu! Kurohitsugi!" A black and purple box appeared around Agito. He had successfully done the incantation before hand, the hadou meant to trap the target and rip them to pieces within the confines of dark matter. "Farewell Agito Diabolos! A kidou done at this caliber with full incantation will be the end of your pathetic existence!"
Agito let the kidou form around her completely, staring straight into Aizen's eyes as the box closed. Aizen should have known that something was wrong right then and there.
The box splintered into a million shards and fell helplessly through the air.
"You seem to not understand," Agito said, "You say 'this caliber' as if you being this butterfly creature automatically makes you superior to this form of mine. You are mistaken."
She attacked once again, using her wings to flash to his side and deliver a brutal attack. Aizen struggled to defend but Agito wasn't just using her spear to fight. Her wings gave her full mobility in the area, whereas Aizen only had his reishi steps to rely on. She battered around him with fists, legs, wings, and spear, pushing him around like a tiny sailboat to the enormity of a typhoon in the ocean.
But Aizen wasn't without his power.
"Shatter, Kyouka Suigetsu!" The air seemed to shatter around them like glass, the pieces floating around like fragile snowflakes, ready to be used in an illusion. It didn't take long for Aizen to realize that it wouldn't work. His reiatsu wasn't over taking Agito.
"Did you think that could fool me?!" Agito screamed, a crazed, blood thirsty grin on her face as she attacked, her reiatsu ringing in the air like a call to battle, "You cannot fool me, mortal! For I am bloodlust! I am the rotting corpses of kings! I am the God of War! I am מִיכָאֵל!"
Agito's blood red eyes burned brighter, her grinning teeth turning needlepoint sharp. Horribly, her human skin tightened around her skull and Aizen could see the horror behind the fleshy mask. A dark, craven thing with a greed from battle, for murder.
She attacked again driving the point of his useless shinigami powers home by a slash across his chest, blood arching out and falling into the clouds where lightning lapped it up like starving animals.
Aizen shunpo-ed away in a burst of speed, but Agito followed too closely behind.
"I won't let you run!" she cried out, driving the point home by grabbing his wing and tossing him back to the start, letting him tumblr through the air.
"You," he cursed when he righted himself out, "I can still feel your power! You are beneath me! How are you this strong?!"
By measurement, Agito's obscene power boost matched up to Aizen's own but he still felt stronger.
"Because." Before Aizen could defend himself, Agito delivered a kick to his chest that crusted through his exoskeleton. He flew back and her next words were left unheard, "You have power but are naive to its purpose. That's the problem with all you small gods. That's why we must kill you."
Agito already had a motivation. It matched with מִיכָאֵל perfectly. To fight, to kill, to win. Aizen in comparison to her own simple goals, was a useless butterfly. A mortal man ambitious enough to reach for the divine but nothing further. What god is he? What focus? What drive? Nothing.
All his motivations were empty. And a useless god was a dead one.
Agito burst forward to attack Aizen once again and he defended himself with his zanpakuto. But then a little bit of מִיכָאֵל leaked through. He pulled out all of her cruelty into this single attack and the most horrifying smile etched upon her face, full of confident sadistry with what was going to happen next.
With Aizen defending against her spear, Agito reached forward, grabbed his arm, and tore the limb off, blood bursting through the air and raining down on them. Aizen gave a horrible howl in pain, pushing Agito back with his zanpakuto.
"Watch this," Agito said with a cocky grin, swinging her spear around so that the tip struck the edge of Aizen's blade.
Aizen was a master swordsman of a few centuries with a zanpakuto. He had nothing against a a spirit forged from the battle between the entities that be. Aizen had centuries. מִיכָאֵל had a measurement that went beyond time.
In that single point of her spear, Michael pushed through a violent concentration of Dageki into Aizen's zanpakuto-
-and shattered it.
The resulting blast threw both opponents away, shards of metals zipping through the air and sparks of power dissipating from the broken blade. Aizen flipped around and landed on a step of reishi, looking down at the remains of his zanpakuto. He dropped the useless weapon.
"I don't need a sword to-"
Aizen talked too much. Agito was already at his back, both her hands gripping his six wings, her foot planted in between his shoulder blades. The smile upon her face was sadistic.
"Have a nice fall," she said before ripping his wings off his back.
The sound was like the ripping of wet leather. Blood gushed out of his wounds like an open heart. Aizen screamed in pain, unable to feel anything else.
Agito ripped off his wings and kicked him off the step of reishi, watching with no mercy as he fell down through the clouds towards the earth. With a single thought, the remains of Aizen's butterfly wings burst into flames and disintegrate into dust. With that cleaned up, she turned her gaze downward and with one stroke of her wings went flying after Aizen's falling body.
...
Agito and Aizen had been up in the clouds for quite a while.
The wind pressure from their sword swings whipping out and buffering the town of Karakura. The group of awaken humans, wounded shinigami, and Ichigo Kurosaki waited with baited breath as the purple thunderclouds overhead lit up in an array of colors. Lightning lit the sky in bright light but there were flashed of blood red, bright blue, hot pink, and searing yellow to tease about the battle in the air.
Suddenly, from clouds far away from Karakura town, a white body fell from the sky, slow and dripping blood. Then a fallen star followed after it, latching onto the white body and crashed to earth in a speed much faster than gravity could ever offer.
Ichigo could still feel their presence since no other shinigami was able to. He could feel Agito's power burning like the sun and Aizen's power still waxing and waning like the tide of an ocean.
The war wasn't over yet.

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
