In the Shinigami's moment of darkness came help from above.
"Hold it right there."
Aizen and his entourage of fellow traitors turned their sights upon their guests.
"That's-"
"Those're some real nostalgic faces gathered there," Gin said. Agito said nothing. Standing before them were the past four taichous and four fukutaichous who fell before Aizen's scheme a hundred years ago. She had never been affiliated with them, they probably didn't know who she was beyond her name. But she knew them.
They were the reason why she had to turn traitor. She had no one but herself to blame but they were the domino that pushed her over. Aizen might have pushed them into their accursed existence as shinigami/hollow mutants, but she was too smart for her own good. They were the catalyst of her fall.
It was good to put a few faces to her history.
Shinji Hirako. Roujuurou Outoribashi, Love Aikawa, Kensei Muguruma, Hiyori Sarugaki, Mashiro Kuna, Lisa Yadoumaru, and Hachigen Ushouda.
The Vizards had finally arrived to battle.
"Long time no see," said Shinji, "Aizen."
It was the most casual of greetings but one that declared war upon him and any who stood with him.
Agito was thinking in overdrive. The three Espada generals would have been enough to end or at least tire out the remaining taichous before Gin, Tousen, and herself would come and sweep them all out of the way (the Soutaichou was a monster Agito did not want to think about at the moment). With the arrival of fresh troops who undoubtedly have more power under their belt then the weakened shinigami forces, it would be difficult for the upper hand.
As the Vizards spoke amongst themselves, Agito clenched her hand around Michael, still in shikai form. With one attack, she could end them all-

"Let them struggle."
Agito stilled.
Aizen was giving the orders here.
"They've come flocking to the palms of my hands," he said with unusual coldness, just to show how excited he was about the battle at work, "First we pin them down. Then we snip their wings. And let them struggle helplessly for death."
"Yes, Aizen," she said, relaxing her grip and for once trusting that whatever he had planned would be more beneficial in the end.
Wonderwiess started to scream.
"Damn, he's one noisy kid," Gin complained, "Now the tensions ruined! I don't care for that part of him."
"There is meaning in his screams," Tousen reasoned, "Sit back and watch."
Wonderweiss had come as reinforcements but he wasn't alone. There behind him was the Hooleer. Otherwise a powerful but useless hollow, Wonderweiss had the ability to speak to the Hooleer and give commands. Suddenly, the great blubbering monster wasn't so useless.
Especially when it can hold hundreds of Gillian troops in its belly to be vomited up. Which it did.
There was a sudden spike of hollow energy. The Vizards had all taken form.
It wasn't unbelievable that they were able to take down so many gillians with hardly any effort. The Vizards were most likely training for the past century for this moment. The Gillians were nothing more than canon fodder, they weren't meant for anything more than just more blood spilled and a few seconds of distraction.
But throughout it all, Shinji Hirako never took his eyes off Aizen. Aizen, in return, had two eyes on him.
It was then that Agito knew that the tides have changed once again. She wasn't aware that Aizen had another enemy to think about. She had only known the Soutaichou, Urahara Kiseki, Kurosaki Ichigo, and herself. But with the addition of Shinji Hirako, the tides have changed once again for Aizen.
Suddenly, Shinji appeared before Aizen in a flash of shunpo, much faster than what was expected of any shinigami.
"You've gotten pretty good handle on hollowfication, haven't we?" Aizen said as if he were teasing a friend. But the bloodlust pouring off Shinji's skin wasn't friendly.

"Aizen," Shinji said, pulling away his hollow mask to smile at his enemy, teeth sharp and wide in a sadistic smile, "Let's finish this."
Shinji swung his blade.
Fast! Very fast, full of anger and hatred for his opponent. Agito, with her sword already drawn and in shikai, should had moved to defend him as her place would suggest but there was another who fit the role as guard much more seamlessly than she.
Tousen moved to defend his leader.
Agito looked around.
Stark would be busy with both Shunsui-taichou and Ukitake-taichou. Barrigan would deal with Soifon-taichou, her fukutaichou, and undoubtedly someone from the Vizards, seeing as how she was already down an arm and weak from unleashing a rather powerful bankai attack. Harribel would keep Hitsugaya-taichou busy but unless one or two of the Vizards stepped in, she didn't see the boy surviving for long.
But that didn't cover everyone from the Shinigami forces. Hinamori-fukutaichou, Iba-fukutaichou, Matsumoto-fukutaichou, and Hisagi-taichou were all down for the count from grievous wounds. Kira-fukutaicho was too busy acting as resident healer to be of any threat. Komamura-taichou would undoubtedly aim to fight with his long time friend and current traitor, Tousen.
That left only the Soutaichou free.
As for the Vizards...
Wonderweiss and his beast could keep some if not most of the Vizards busy with their extreme unpredictability. Love, Roujuurou, and Kensei could aim for either Gin or herself. The ex-Kido Specialist fukutaichou would most probably help Soifon-taichou seeing as how Barrigan's abilities were more kido-like than anything else.
They were strong. They moved in a united force and though they sided with the shinigami for now, there was only one weakness that Agito could see.
They all loathed Aizen.
Their hatred could be a key weakness, seeing as how they all might try to take a crack at the powerful but evil shinigami.
But they could be taken out one by one. Agito had no need to simulate a scenario where they all attacked at once. All she had to do was focus on her enemy.
But who was her current enemy?
"Drown, Yao Bikuni."
She didn't see nor hear the attack.
"AGITO!"
She felt a paralysing pain tearing through her back and splitting open her guts. She looked down to see a harpoon blooming open with a dozen barbs before jolting back to latch to her flesh. Agito caught a glimpse of Gin Ichimaru's eyes opening before she was yanked forcefully back a kilometer away from the heart of the battle.
Snarling, absolutely furious that she would be taken by some cheap trick, she grabbed at the harpoon and pulled the barbs out of her, consequently pulling the tail deeper inside. With a single hard slice of Michael, the head of the harpoon was cut off and the tail slide back out of her. She started to free fall without the tail to give her velocity but quickly she caught a step of reishi to stand on the air.
"Quite the vicious move, shinigami," Agito spat, controlling her reiatsu to stem the blood flow and encouraging her body to heal itself faster. A shitty repair job but it'll do.
"Thanks," said the dark horse who dared attack her, "I learned from the best."
Agito Diabolos froze.
Her shock tasted like blood in her mouth.
She didn't recognise the zanpakuto that attacked her.
She hadn't been aware of this shinigami's presence.
But she knew that voice.
She would know that voice anywhere.
Agito turned around to finally look at her opponent, her enemy.
"Didn't expect to see you here," she said, "Rue."
Rue Diabolos, her twin sister, stood before her with her new shikai, a blooded harpoon with a glowing reishi tip for regeneration. Agito could barely recognise this Rue. She didn't recognise the shikai in her hands nor the terribly cold look in her eyes. The look of willful determination to kill her target.
Agito was her target.
"Hello," she said, "Onee-chan."
