《Conquer {BLEACH}》(43)

[Next Morning]
"Stop striking like a girl!" I scolded Toushiro before charging again. He grunted in reply. Our zanpaktous clashed with a shower of sparks and our 2 blades sizzled on contact. I smirked when I noticed the sweat beading down his forehead.
"What? Can't take the heat?" Michael started heating up, turning into a cherry red with heat waves rolling off it. Toushiro gritted his teeth and released some of his icy reiatsu, chilling the air. I grinded Michael against Hyorinmaru and struck his achellies heel. Before the hot metal could touch his skin, Toushiro whipped the chain around my wrist and yanked away the blade. I jumped above him before kicking him in the back. His chain released me as he skidded 3 feet away. He charged me again and we continued our fight.
It was about 7:00 in the morning and already I hyped up. Toushiro was already beginning to show promise in being able to achieve bankia. I'm not sure when or if he wanted to learn it but it got me excited. It would be my first time training someone in bankia and I wanted to test my own bankia out.
"Halt this instant!" Toushiro and I stopped fighting. I looked to the edge of the clearing to see 20 members of the Special Kido Squad with Head Captain Yamamoto and lieutenant Chojiro. Toushiro and I sheathed our zanpakuto's.
"What are you here for?" I questioned. The 20 Kido members flashstepped and surrounded me. I didn't dare go on the defensive.
"Captain Agito Diabolos, you are hereby arrested for the murder of Kyono Kuchiki, one of the Elder Kuchiki at around 1:00 a.m. Until we have gained proof otherwise, your defense will remain mute," said Captain Commander. all 20 members started up their chant. yellow chains wrapped around me, sealing my reiatsu underneath my skin so I can't release it.
"Captain!" called out Toushiro. I heard the familiar sound of a sword being drawn.
"Sheathe your sword Toushiro! This is not a fight you can win with physical overpowerment!" When the kido seal was in place, Captain Commander came forward.
"What do you plead?"
"Innocent." He clicked his tongue and the kido members began to pull me away. It was a long walk but they lead me to the 1st company holding cells. When I arrived, I was stripped of my Soul Reaper uniform and it was replaced with a simple white kimono. I was left alone. Alone in this prison where I'm supposed to await for a verdict that could either save me or be my undoing. I wonder if there are others before me that was wrongly accused and forced to suffer. But an Elder died last night? And it was suspected that I killed him? Well that tells me one thing, someone killed the Elder but blamed me for it. But it seems so strange. What's the point of killing one of the Elders? There is none unless it was a personal murder and I was just a conveniet scapegoat.
The door slids open. I look over to my visiotr and hiss at Aizen smiling his kind smile. he looked like he just came back from drowning a bunch of kittens that smile sickened me so.
"How are you doing Agito?"
"Address me by my surname Sosuke. I have yet to give you permission to address me so personally."
"Always so hostile. And here I thought you'd want to know why you're in here." Aizen put a hand on the metal bars.
"I do want to know but I trust you just as much a wolf would a snake's burrow." He shook his head almost in pity.
"My dear Diabolos, your trust issues will be your undoing. But I'll tell you why you're here. I need you to go to Hunco Mundo to train a few soldiers sworn to my cause. You will not raise a word of defense against anyone. You are to be taken to your exicution and then will you reveal your bankia." My eyes widened at his words. His smile widened to a smirk.
"Do you think I wouldn't know? Even if your zanpakuto is stripped from you, your bankia is always with you, ready to be used. And what a mighty bankia it is indeed. I expect that your punishment be swift since it is a Kuchiki Elder that you killed." He turned away to leave but I had to ask.
"Who killed him?" Aizen's puppy murderer smile changed to the saucy smirk that made me want to boil him oil.
"Why I did." He left at the very moment I want to rip his esophogas out. I was left to boil in rage within my confines.
...
The door slides open. I look to see my visitor, only to be greeted with Byakuya's pained face. I'd expect as much. I 'did' kill an Elder after all. I turned away from him, not bearing the look of betrayal.
"Did you do it?" I stayed silent. I can't say a word in my defense.
"Answer me Agito." I can't. I'm sorry Byakuya but I can't.
"Answer me!"
"Until we have gained proof otherwise, your defense will remain mute. That what Captain Commander said. Do you know what that means? It means that even if I plead innocent it'll be revoked. If I plead guilty, watch how fast they'll exicute me. My words to you mean nothing if my plead matters not in court."
"I can gather evidence. All you have to do is point in the right direction. Please Agito, tell me you didn't do it." I can't. I'm sorry Byakuya, you'll have to forget all about me cause I know you'll never forgive me.
"Agito!"
"That's Diabolos-san to you," I said coldly. This would be it. The end of our friendship. I'll treasure every moment as long as I shall live. I have to end it now. If I don't Byakuya will torture himself. I'll be in the cluches of Aizen and I fear Byakuya would risk everything to get me back. He's just that reckless.
"Don't you dare block me out Agito Diabolos! I'm your friend!"
"A friend of a murderer?" I questioned sharply. "Face it Byakuya, it doesn't look to good to the elders being friends with a murderer and if they're smart their gonna cover their tracks. They're gonna erase all evidence that they even asked me to take the positionas your wife. Leave now Byakuya."
"You say it like Central 48 already sentenced your death." I smile at him sadly.
"Head of the Kuchiki house and still not knowledgable in politics. It doesn't matter if I am a person of honor, all that matters is my up bringing and whatever evidence they found to point their finger at me. I will be sentenced to death Byakuya and there is no way for you to stop it."
"What if you were sent to the Maggot's Nest?"
"An Elder of the Kuchiki Noble House was killed. Do you think they'll simply stuff me into a dungeon and let me live? No, they'll order my immediately death. You should know this better than I do. So leave," I wave him off, turning away so I'm looking out the window.

"You know what's the worst thing about you Agito? You carry a burden far too heavy for your shoulders and never ask anyone for help. Well guess what? One day, you're gonna crumble from the weight of your burden and suffocate under it." Byakuya left, his words still echoing in my head. I grit my teeth in fustration.
"Tell me something I don't know."
...
The door slide open once again. I turn around and see Rue, standing there with sad eyes.
"Rue-chan!" We both rush to meet each other, jail bars seperating the both of us.
"Agito, what's going on?!"
"Keep it down Rue-chan."
"Did you kill him?" I sigh.
"No, I didn't."
"Then what's going on?" I reach my hand out and petted Rue's long hair. This'll probably be the last time I see Rue-chan ever again. It might take decades for me to ever see her.
"Aizen is transferring me to his base of operations. He created this mess so I can sever all bonds and be able to escape."
"Where to?" I smile sadly at her.
"I'm sorry Rue-chan but I can't tell you."
"Why not!? I'm deep enough as it-"
"I refuse to make you sink lower than you already are!"
"I'm already stuck in this! Why do you have to protect me?!"
"Because I don't want you to die!"
"I don't want you to die either!" We both pause in our yelling. It was always hard argueing with my sister. I tried never to argue with her because it hurts so much. When we do, it both mentally and emotionally drains both of us.
"You've been protecting me for so long Agito. Sometimes I forget what it's like to struggle. I love you Agito-chan, I really do but if it means that I have to watch you kill yourself then I'd rather suffer." I bit my lip. Half of me was proud that my sister wanted to take a stand but the other half of me was angry because she wanted to take a stand for me.
"Don't you think I feel the same way? Rue-chan please don't raise a fuss. You and I both know there's nothing we can do anymore. That nano thing is still in you and I can't risk killing you if it means our freedom."
"I'd rather die trying to get free than die in bondage. There has to be another way."
"It's been 50 years Rue if there was another way we would have found it by now." We stayed silent. I would have said something to comfort her but there was nothing comforting I could say. But really though, what can be said?
...
It's been four days and the constant flow of people is trickling down. Mostly people come and rant about why they either believe I did or didn't do the murder. I offer no resistance to either debate. I've been carefully choosing my words so not to alarm anyone of my plight. It has always been a battle but now I feel like I'm fighting on the edge of a knife. My feet still bleed between the forces of Shinigami and Aizen.
I sigh in exhaustion. When in the god damn hell am I gonna finally be sentenced to death? i swear, it takes these old guys forever to finally decide to kill me. The door slides open, and twin turquoise eyes peer inside.
"Captain..." I smile.
"Toushiro-san," I acknowledge. He stepped inside. His shoulders were shaking but not from greif but anger.
"Why? Why did you do it? Didn't you know that I looked up to you? Didn't you know that? So why god damn it?! Why the hell would you do this?!" I narrowed my eyes.
"I don't recall ever being charged as guilty Toushiro. That's still up for debate." He gritted his teeth in fustration.
"You're being charged as guilty. in 2 days you will be dealt the penalty of death for killing a Kuchiki Noble. So what do you have to say for yourself?!" I chuckled before standing tall and walking forward.
"I have a request Toushiro." He stiffened as I drew closer. I continued, "One, I ask that you keep an eye on my sister. Two, continue on with your training. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to teach you bankia but it seems that fate has choosen that you learn by yourself. Last but not least-." I put my hands on the bars and look his straight in the eye.
"-Whatever happens Toushiro. Never be like me. Be stronger, wiser, better, and more honorable than I ever will be. Can you do that for me Toushiro?" I took my hands away from the bars. Toushiro had a look of shock all over his face.
"...How can you do that?" I rose an eyebrow in question.
"Do what?"
"You're a murderer. I should curse you like the scum of the earth. But I can't. You pull stunts like asking me to be better than you are that make me respect you more and more. How can you do it?" I smile almost wistfully.
"Call me whatever you want to call me. I'll always be Agito." he door slides open and 4 kido corps members walk in with Gin Ichimaru in the lead.
"Oh? Saying yer finally goodbye Toushiro-chibi? Betta make it quick hm? I gotta take this hr' prisoner to ye Cell of Repentence." I look at Toushiro and hiss out, "Listen to me Toushiro, this is the last lesson I shall teach you. Whatever you do, never start or say something out of anger. Whatever it is will end in shame. Someone once said, if you build a coffin from anger, make 2." The gate open and the kido corp members came inside. They attatched a red choker around my throta nad from 4 circles came black cable like wires. The cables attatched themselves to the four kido coup members 2 pronged spears and I instantly felt a slight drain of energy.
"Nice goodbye speech sensy. Got a bett'r one for yer death?" I snarled in Gin's face.
"Better stop grinning around me Gin. Never know when I might decide to make it permanite." His smile instantly went away. I didn't even bother to sneer in his face. I walked out with as much dignity as I can. I am Agito Diabolos. It wasn't hard to be confident.
[2 days later]
A white covering was over my head so I couldn't see. Even if I couldn't, I can tell by the dirt between my toes and the wind on my skin that I'm in the exicution grounds. I calmly breathed a deep sigh before breathing out. This was it. The finally show. It was time to make me a fugitive. I could sense the presence of 12 captains, lined up single file and their leutanents right behind them. The cloth over my head was ripped off and I blinked from the sudden light.
"Agito Diabolos. For your crimes of premeditated murder against an Elder of the Kuchiki House, you are sentenced to death by exicution," rambled the Head Captain. Tell me something I don't know old man. I make eye contact with all the Captains, some smirking, emotionless, or clearly sad. I sneer before turning back to the Head Captain.
"Any last words?" I giggle, then chuckle, then laugh, before I knew it I was roaring in laughter.
"Yeah, I got something to say you peices of shit. Bankia."
[TPV]
Everyone gasped in surprise when a column on flame appeared and consumed Agito. The cables that chained her reiatsu were destroyed and a wave of angry vengeful reiatsu exploded from its source. The Captains all tesned up. When the hell did Agito learn Bankia?! Agito was a rare Shinigami who was voted into the Captain role by nearly a dozen high ranking officers and hundreds of unseated Shinigami! She didn't know bankia and there was nothing that could suggest she did master it!
What was even more shocking was that she didn't need her zanpakuto in hand to do it. Honestly though, even if Agito didn't have her zanpakuto, she didn't need it to activiate bankia. If her zanpakuto is apart of herself, wouldn't she be able to draw her own zanpakuto even if it was stolen? The column of flame collapsed on top of Agito and everyone drew their swords. What was the form of Agito's bankia?
From the cloud of dust and being arose into the sky. Wings. Gloriuous wings full of power. She alighted on top of the wooden stand of death and let everyone get a good look at her. 6 huge 18 foot diameter wings made of titanium, platnium gold, and silver strouted from her back. Her white kimono was burned away from the pillar of flame but was replaced with a European mideavil type armor made of platnium gold with a symbol on her torso, the symbol of a cross with the imprint of flames behind it. Her bare stomach was shown and ancient writtening ran up and down the metal skirt that ended at her midthigh. bronze leather boots were covered platnium gold foot armor.
"Declare War, Micheal Archangel." It was as beautiful, as it was terrifying. The power and personification of war shouldn't not be as beautiful as Aphrodite. Agito raised her arm into the air, reaching for the sun seemingly before a blade of flame appeared in her hands.
"The final battle has yet to be fought," Agito said. "Reasarection." Agito struck down with her flame blade but instead of burning the world to the ground, a small 4 step stairway led up to a door, entering a void. Agito assended the steps, not even turning around to say her last goodbye.
"Make sure to watch your backs cause people will stab it and ask why are you bleeding." A smile, rueful smile crossed her face before she entered the void and the door closed. Thus ending the Legacy of Captain Diabolos and starting the infamous tale of Agito Diabolos.

8 317I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****
8 260The Dreamside Road
Five years after the world fell into chaos, a treasure of artifacts is up for grabs. The relics of the Dreamside Road offer a power that could help rebuild or annihilate what remains. Orson Gregory is an adventurer for hire, but hunts this treasure for answers, not glory. Enoa Cloud’s late aunt helped hide the Dreamside Road, but following in her aunt’s supernatural tradition offers her as much peril as power. Together, Orson and Enoa battle a magic-obsessed militia, clash with a host of rivals, and face constant adventure on their journey to find the Dreamside Road. *Updates Monday and Friday The Dreamside Road is now on TopWebFiction! Vote so people know this exists. _____________________________________ NOTE: The Progression tag applies specifically to Enoa. Also, fair warning, that element doesn't enter the story until she begins her studies. Content: Main characters range in age from teenagers to people in their thirties and older, but it will not contain gratuitous violence or explicit sexual content. It also won’t shy away from implication, anything to make this story and its world feel more real. Characters will freely allude to potentially triggering topics, including living with a disability, facing terminal illness, coping with trauma, surviving societal destabilization, and the consequences of bigotry. At its most intense, the Dreamside Road is a hard PG-13. Worldbuilding: This is not a story with a lot of early exposition scenes, conveniently explaining ‘magic systems’ and political dynamics. Readers will learn, progressively, as the characters do. This story/world has a ‘magic system’, or rather, a set of systems, but the effort to quantify and understand the truth of the setting plays a role in the backstory, as well as in some character motivations. In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
