《A-Team》Too Late

The fresh air feels nice against my skin. It feels great to be out at night with all three of my brothers once again. We soar through the buildings, being alert to our surroundings.
I land on the building next to TCRI and observe the front door.
"Didn't like the ending," I say as Raph lands next to me.
"Fault In Our Stars?" He asks.
"Yeah. It was too sad," I reply.
Raph grins. "Hey you gotta have some death in there to make the book interesting."
"Is that the only way you'll be able to read? If there's death?" I give him a lopsided smile.
"Well of course. Don't you know me?" He kisses my lips softly and I chuckle.
"Thanks for helping me on my reading Raph. I really love reading thanks to you," I whisper.
"You're welcome babe," he replies.
My cheeks begin to heat up and I almost lose balance. "I love it when you call me that," I admit.
"Babe? Never thought I'd hear myself say that but anything for you Fearless," he says with a wink.
"I don't mean to interrupt but we've got company," Donnie yells.
We all turn around to find Karai. She has a sword out, ready to fight but something seems off. She is panting frantically and her eyes are running wild. Her hand goes to her stomach, and she coughs blood out.
"Karai?" I run to her and drop my weapons to the ground. "What happened?"
To my surprise, Raph helps her up and pats her back as she wipes her mouth.
"Shredder," she spits out. "He's coming. He's coming."
"Speak slower," Donnie pleads.
"He's tired of us failing so he's coming to personally attack you. I tried to run away, but I got caught and things didn't go so well," she says.

"Why would you try to run away?" Mikey asks.
"You don't think I know about the Kraang? Someone has to stop those aliens but he's to blind to see that," she snarls.
"Well we agree on that much," Raph says sarcastically.
"Is Splinter really my father?" She asks out of the blue.
Everyone stays quiet, but all eyes are on me. I have nothing to do but to nod.
"Sorry Karai. You've been living a lie your whole life but you have to trust us. Trust me," I say calmly.
"And you have to trust me when I say that you will be breathing your last breath tonight," says a voice that makes my stomach turn into liquid.
Feet land on the surface, causing us to turn around. I pick up my katanas and glare at the enemy that has been trying to kill us for a long time.
Shredder.
"Your skills are impressive. You've beaten all my assassins and gotten out alive. But tonight that will change," he says boldly.
The blades from his hand pop out as he positions himself to fight. His armor is shiny, moonlight reflecting upon it.
The four of us position ourselves as well. Mikey rolls his nunchucks, Donnie moves his staff to the side, Raph places his sais in front of him, and I form a cross with my katanas.
"Oh Karai. You look pathetic," Shredder continues. "Let me enlighten you with some turtle soup after I finish."
Those words somehow triggered Raph and he runs towards him. He jumps on his shoulders and stabs him but like before, Shredder is quicker and he pounds him to the ground.
Donnie, Mikey and I attack and he easily takes us down. I am thrown on top of Raph just as he was about to get up.

Shredder laughs. It sends a shiver down my spine. "This? This is how Hamato trained you guys? Pathetic!"
We are all on our feet again. I feel a rage inside me as Raph launches himself again. And again.
And again.
The more we try, the more we get hurt. I land on the ground and begin to cough out blood. I turn my head to see Karai on the floor trying to help me.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
I can't reply. This makes Karai angry and she grabs her blades and attacks Shredder.
He is surprised but is able to take her down. No matter how many punches we manage to make, he doesn't seem to budge.
I hear Mikey screaming. Donnie groaning. Raph growling.
I can't give up. I force myself up and grab my only katana left, the other being thrown off the building. My eyes dilate and I gasp in horror as I watch Shredder point his blade at Raph.
He has no escape. He is caught in between the two blades and the one in the middle is so close to his throat.
"Let him go!" I scream.
Shredder snaps his head at me. I can barely stand, my legs being weak and my arms shaking from the anger and panic.
"Please," I beg.
"Tell me where the rat is," he demands.
Raph shakes his head repeatedly at me. He mouths,"Don't do it."
"I'll give you five seconds to tell me or this one dies," he threatens.
What type of option is this? Its either have my brother dead or my father dead. No I can't deal with any of the deaths. I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
"1...2....3"
"Its okay Leo," Raph manages to say.
"4..."
"I love you."
"Wait!" I scream. "Splinter is in-"
But its too late.

Sergeant Brandon Mc’Dew was an Airborne Ranger and a good one too. That is until he found that one mission that ended his career like so many other warriors before him. But instead of pearly gates or red flames Brandon awoke in a white room full of ugly green chairs and an image of his brain floating in a tube. The life he knew was a simulation to train rapid grown people. The universe he now finds himself in is a war torn far future where Humanity as dominated the stars. Enlisted against his better opinions he finds himself a fledgling Titan Jock in a minor noble House on a far off arm of the Milky Way. Brandon is stuck trying to survive in this new world. A world where 100 meter tall robots of war dominate the battlefield, Kings and Queens rule from thrones upon high, uncaring of the people beneath them, and expendable people can be grown in a tube to fight a war they know nothing about. ***Authors Note*** This is a MEch or MEcca based light LitRPG. The Depths of Magic
Synopsis It's the year 2052 and the release of the new next-generation full-dive VRMMO game called The Depths of Magic is hitting the world by storm. The game's technology will surpass all other games before it and shock the masses. Hector who goes by the name Locke inside the game is an experienced player of the genre. He is looking to continue his goal of enjoying gaming as well as the competition that goes along with competing for the top ranking spots. Novel Summary The Depths of Magic is a LitRPG novel focused on a Fantasy VRMMO setting. This is not a harem novel. In-Game systems The Depths of Magic features state-of-the-art technology never before seen in Hector's world. The key system the novel will bring up often is the Second Brain. The Second Brain system is more like a guidance AI for the players in the game that acts as if you had a second brain assisting your every action. How much guidance this AI will give is based on its experience or mastery skills a player will receive in the game. The guidance is seamless to a point where a player won't even realize they are being assisted, it's will feel like what they are doing is something they could always do. However, once they leave the game it will become quite apparent that they were receiving heavy guidance. The purpose of this system in a writing sense is to explain why a player can realistically become more powerful, more agile, or more skilled than they would otherwise be able to as a human. To give an example if someone could move faster than a bullet, how would a normal human brain be able to perceive and control this movement properly. Or how could a player who has never held a sword before become as experienced as someone who has trained with the sword all their lives? The magic system will be another focus of this novel. I don't want to spoil anything here but it should be an interesting one. The hope is that the system I have made will spark discussion between the readers on what combinations will do what. I already have most of it, but it will be fun to read as the author. Side notes My general focus for this novel is to attempt to make the in-game systems make sense. To give a vague example I have read a lot of novels of this genre and some have the habit of just creating such powerful items that it just breaks the system, and somehow the MC keeps finding challenging situations even with those items. What tends to happen when I read a novel like this I just ignore the stats of the items he is getting because the numbers don't even matter anymore. Release schedule: The chapter release schedule due to real-life complications is to release as I write them. Patreon setup: 1 chapter early release/discord access. Free content up to the current chapter includes an excel sheet that contains Locke's current stats at the end of the chapter. This is extra information for those that are interested.

A Wheel Inside a Wheel
Two brilliant young me, Reinhard von Musel and Yang Wen-li, are forced to flee the countries of their birth and become refugees on opposite sides of a century long galactic war. While they both struggle to adapt to their new lives, their obvious talent propels them to the forefront of the war. Their choices will shape their adoptive homelands forever, and their clash will decide the future of the galaxy. This story is broken up into volumes, each following one half of the conflict. You can read them in chronological order, or you can follow just Yang or Reinhard. See individual descriptions below. Part One - Speaking in Tongues When Yang Wen-li’s father dies, the only thing that he inherits is a mountain of debt, which can only be paid off with fifteen years of his life. Wanting to escape that indentured servitude, Yang flees his homeland and takes up a false identity in the Galactic Empire, a hyper-stratified society where stepping out of line is punishable with imprisonment or death. Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. When tensions at the school boil over and several of Yang’s classmates attempt to murder him, Yang finds an unlikely ally in the top student in the class: the aloof Oskar von Reuenthal. But Reuenthal and Yang both have secrets, secrets which could destroy both their lives and their newfound friendship. [70k words, complete] Part One (Alternate) - Talking Without Speaking When Oskar von Reuenthal enrolls at the Imperial Officers' Academy, he doesn’t expect to make real friends. The IOA is a competitive place, and Reuenthal has never been well liked. But when a foreign student shows up to challenge him for the top spot in the class, Reuenthal can’t look away. [77k words, complete] Part Two - Life out of Balance When Reinhard von Musel's mother learns that her husband is about to sell her daughter to become the concubine of the Kaiser, she takes her two children, Reinhard and Annerose, and flees to the Free Planets Alliance, where the three of them must start a new life. [129k words, complete] Part Three - Servants of the Pharaoh Now an officer in His Majesty's fleet, Yang Wen-li struggles to maintain his principles in the face of everything that is expected of him. When he's unwillingly drawn into the politics of the court, he has to use all of his talents to keep himself and his new friends out of danger. [173k words, complete] Short - Whatever It Takes to Keep the Body Warm After their falling out, Reuenthal and Mittermeyer are both posted to the brutal wasteland of Capche-Lanka. Separated from everyone he cares about, Reinhard is forced to make some unexpected allies, and make connections with old friends.
