《A-Team》What The Hell

"Master Splinter wants us to meet him in the dojo room now," Mikey says with a loud yawn.
I drop my spoon on my cereal and huff. "He never lets me eat. What could he possibly want now?"
"I don't know bro but he seems pretty angry," Mikey says.
Donnie drinks the milk from his bowl and raises his eyes. "Angry?"
All our eyes land on Raph who opens his mouth in disbelief. "What er you guys looking at me for? I didn't do anything."
"Oh come on Raph. Everyone knows that when Sensei is mad its because of you," Donnie says and Raph slams the table.
"Bullshit Donnie. I'm getting real tired of your bullshit. I'll prove it to ya. Lets go right now and you'll see this has nothing to do with me," he growls.
"Fine," Donnie snaps. "Lets go right now."
I am about to take another bite from my cereal when Raph grabs my hand and makes me drop the plate. Darn it!
Donnie and Mikey follow behind as we race each other to the dojo room.
Sensei is meditating on the ground when we arrive. I sit in front of him as my brothers sit next to me. We all know that when Sensei meditates we must wait patiently. Raph huffs out in annoyance as we wait.
"You wanted to see us?" Donnie whispers.
But something seems wrong about Sensei. His features show stress and he wiggles his nose when he senses our presence. My eyes dart to Donnie who gives me a concerned look.
"My sons. I have brought you here to speak of an important matter," Sensei says after opening his eyes.
"Is it Karai? You still owe me that explanation," Raph says and I clear my throat.

"No Raphael. The discussion about my daughter will not be mentioned today," he replies. His voice is calm yet strained. "You are disappointing me. All of you."
Huh?
"You are brothers. You are ninjas. You are not lovers," he says lowly.
Raph is breathing heavily now. I stiffen and stare at him with wide eyes. Donnie and Mikey glance at each other and nobody says a word.
"I will not accept this little romance happening between you four," he continues. In the corner of my eyes, Raph's hands curl into fists. A tiny piece of my heart falls. No..I must be hearing wrong. How does he know?
"It is wrong and I want you guys to stop this once and for all," Sensei finishes. No...no its not wrong. Donnie said-
"Wrong?" Raph yells. "Wrong? How could something wrong feel so right then?"
"What you are feeling is not real. You are just teenagers. It will not end well," Sensei raises his voice.
My mind is running wild. I want to say something but my tongue is tied. I've never spoken to Raph about telling our father about us, but I never thought it would be this way. This isn't suppose to happen. Sensei is suppose to be happy for us.
"Don't you dare tell me that my feelings for Leo are fake!" Raph gets off the ground and points a finger at him.
"Listen to yourself Raphael. He is your brother. The only feelings you'll ever have for him is loving him in a sibling way and nothing more."
I squint my eyes at my father and a strange emotion flows through my body. Something I've never dared to feel towards him. Anger.
"Sensei with all due respect-" Donnie begins.

"You are all forbidden to be in each other's room! I am the father of four boys who will not fall in love with each other," Sensei yells. "This is ridiculous. I am very disappointed."
My heart is racing and tears pool in my eyes. I open my mouth to say something but no words will come out. Mikey seems to be in the same situation, tears already rolling down his cheeks.
"What do you expect huh? As if there were more mutant turtles in this damn planet for to us to fall in love with?" Raph shouts. I want to disappear with him, ignore this is all happening and just kiss his frown away.
"This isn't fair," Donnie joins. "You can't do that to us. Why can't you just accept us?"
"Silence!" Sensei booms.
Mikey is quietly weeping and Donnie hugs him. Sensei's eyes land on me and he takes a deep sigh. "I just want what's best for you boys."
"You know what Sensei? Just because you had bad luck in love with Tang Shen doesn't mean it will happen to us," Raph hisses.
"Do not speak of her!" Sensei snarls. I realize that Raph mentioning her has crossed the line. I instinctively get up and place my arm in front of Raph in case they somehow end up fighting.
"Sensei," I blurt out. My voice is small yet stern. "You don't have control over this situation. You can't stop us from loving each other. I hope you understand that."
"And I hope you understand that I'm only doing what's right," he replies back.
I wrap my arm around Raph's waist who immediately smiles. "Well I hope you know that not matter what you do, it won't stop us."
"I will not tolerate this Leonardo. All of you in your own rooms now. You are grounded," he says. "You are forbidden to be together."
Donnie and Mikey get off the ground, their eyes moving frantically at me and Raph.
"But what about night patrol?" I ask. "What about Shredder? We're a team!"
"I gave you an order, didn't I? Do not disobey me!" Sensei yells. "Go!"
Before I can even process what is happening, he is separating me from Raph. I gasp and try to grab his hand but he is being dragged away.
"Raph!" I shriek. "Raph no!"
I run towards them but Sensei is quick and pushes me to the ground.
"Leo!" Raph shouts.
My vision is becoming blurry with tears and I hear a door slam shut. Before I know it, Donnie is being dragged and Mikey is sobbing on the ground. We are forced into each other's rooms and I try desperately to get out but the door is locked somehow.
I stand there, tears streaming down my face, and wonder: What the hell just happened?

Cowboys and Wizards
Currently in queue: Episode 12 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Wednesday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. Cowboys and Wizards is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his crappy smartphone, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.
